I was a heavy drinker for years almost everyday and now I’m 5 months sober, I feel so much better without alcohol and would never go back, if your thinking about it, it’s probably time to make the change… one of the biggest traps in society today

I’m almost 5 years sober after not being able to go a day without a beer for 10 years.
The key is to write and recite affirmations. “I am determined, I am healthy, etc”. Get really specific. Write down why you quit and speak to your future self. You’re doing this so the future you can thrive. It’s like money in the bank. Stay in routine and avoid new emotional connections for a while. You don’t want to shift addictions to a GF or an animal, etc. eventually you’ll balance out and it will become your new normal. Then you can search for a new partner whom matches your new higher vibration. Emotional stability is what will keep you going. I promise you, life is way better. You might not imagine how, but I will never go back. As a single male at 36, I have the healthiest mind set, healthiest habits. And most of all, I’m happy because I remember how hard I made life but succumbing to addiction. Also, the most powerful emotional people, end up battling addictions some time in their lives. You have a an amazing comeback story to tell one day, and it starts with beating addiction. ❤

Haven’t had a drink in 2 yrs and stop smoking them cancer sticks in 15 yrs. It ain’t easy but it’s all possible. My kids and their mom is my motivation. I ultimately do it for me. This last time I went essentially into shock and couldn't move because my body was shutting down due to poisoning my liver and no electrolytes in me. Got control very quickly this last trip and have been blessed greatly with what has come. I will be honest, I do drink when I go out still and with friends, but that needs to change all together in all honesty. Day by day and just so everyone knows my opinion, alcohol is the hardest drug to quit and the worst drug in existence

Jesus man you need to get serious about reaching your full potential. You're at a point in your life where it's likely you won't ever quit if you don't stop soon. Usually someone that is an alcoholic and has been drinking since they were that age either stop in their mid 20s or they'll drink for the rest of their life. Make a change before it gets even worse. You're life with drastically change within months to a year and will continue changing for the better if you stop. Do it. Now. Don't be a loser man.

This popped on my timeline. I never question the reason, maybe GOD wants me to provide wisdom/my experience. I had a non-alcoholic fatty liver which comes from junk food(sugar, fast food, etc.) I didn’t understand why my stomach was big since I’ve always had a small/slim frame body. After my diagnosis, I learned about drinking lemon water(putting lemon slices in room temperature water). It helped, tremendously, for a healthy liver and flat tummy. Also, to eliminate mucus from the body, I drink lime water(key lime slices in r-t water), every morning. Drinking alcoholic beverages or not drinking alcoholic beverages you can still have health issues but always seek medical help. Thanks.

Come to find out later, under that green triangular patch was " G funk music" logo. We weren't allowed to have sponsors. Warren g i assumed did it anyways, and covered the logo. After we beat la sheriffs in the champions game (thanks to Darnell Bing literally doing his thing on both offense and defense) we threw our helmets in the air, and proudly rocked the g funk music jerseys. Started smoking cigs at 14-15. Started drinking heavily when 18. I loved smoking while drunk. My favorite part after a binge drinking episode was waking up still drunk and getting that first cigarette of the day. I quit both at the same time cold turkey when I was 25 and am now a year clean from both. Being sober has made me not want to take anything or even drink coffee. I do not want to rely on any kind of substance to hide from how i feel. I find it important to be able to workout any "bad" emotions or moods you have without any substance to numb yourself. It will make you stronger, you will know yourself, and respect yourself way more in the end. Stop hiding from yourself and embrace yourself. Hate yourself to love yourself. Most people can't spend any time by themself without a distraction.

I love practicing and learning with Thai people but my language journey is inspired by foreigners who learned Thai to a native level like Adam Bradshaw, Paddy from Thai Talk with Paddy, Chris from English please, and many many more. Don't apologize for the unedited version of this because that's what made it interesting. I hope you make more of these on anything related to Thai! Cheers

People should go visit ERs and nursing homes and rehabs to see the effects of that addiction. Many in the last two are them in a few years if they are lucky

Quitting drinking took so much effort. Rehab can work IF you want to quit. ONLY if you want to quit, otherwise you're wasting your time. All in 100% or nothing. And yes it's worth it

Congratulations, man. I have over a year and a half without alcohol and It's enlightening. I've been freestyle and writing rhymes for 22 years, and I'm a good lyricist, but I'm even better without alcohol and I don't like how alcohol is promoted in rap or hip hop when it just leads to our people going to jail or prison.

34 months sober. I stopped because I’ve been living with 1 kidney since being shot at 20. Kinda like Warren, I celebrated my birthday weekend and knew I was done after that. I remember that pain he’s talking about as well. No coffee either. The acidity and caffeine is no good for the kidney or liver. I don’t crave liquor at all. I loved IPA’s and tequila. I’ll be 52 in December and i still have 2 children that aren’t grown. I raise them so I gots to be here.
