I used to listen to rap my entire life; up until I discovered Powerwolf back in 2014! I listen to Powerwolf ever since on a daily basis. These guys make music that is so fucking beautiful!
On November 12 me and my 14y/o daughter will be seeing them in Munich with Dragonforce and Warkings. It'll be my third time seeing them live, and for my daughter it'll be the second time (her first time was 4 years ago).
As soon as I watched the video this morning, I immediately was praying that Tank would do a reaction for this song, and low and behold my prayers have been answered!! Love your reactions 🔥🔥🔥🔥
It's what I like about Powerwolf! I know what I will get. So many people wish their (some) band changes their formular and when they do it is also false and no one really buys the album/single.
God those drums are sick. Excellent song and another excellent video from you Tank. I'm always so scared of what kind of clean up music videos with rain, snow or other forms of water have to deal with D:
At the start he's singing "meum voluntate ventura" which is Latin for "my will to come" lol. If he wanted to say "my will be done" it would be "meum voluntas fiet", or in the more "traditional" Latin sentence order "voluntas meum fiet".
I've seen them live twice. First time was on a festival pretty early in the evening in almost full daylight... NOT the best experience in my life. 😅Should be illegal for bands like Powerwolf to play during daytime! Second time was in a small, dark club venue - that show was absolutely awesome! 🤘
The melody.. it sounds alot like Nena & Kim Wilde "irgendwie, irgendwo, irgendwann / anyplace, anywhere, any time" (it took me a while to figure out where i know that melody) But as always Powerwolf sounds amazing.
Love your reaction and new "background" setup. Got a new band for your list (don't know if you did it on your other platforms), Wolfheart: a northern heritage and one of the fastest rising bands in the international melodic death metal for Finland.
This is probably off topic, but appreciate the pop-up info/factoids in your reaction vids, I'm more a listener only rather than a gear/technicality type so I find the info bits quite nifty. Specific to the song, now all I hear is tuna as well (think it's -tura but I can't tell), didn't have a major grab-me kind of bit to it but I wouldn't change the channel/track if it came on.
Been listening to this song pretty consistently since its release. And now I can't hear it without thinking he's saying tuna in the beginning. Thanks 🤣
Thoroughly enjoyed your reaction. I was never a fan of Powerwolf, felt their stuff was just another run of the mill power metal band that brought nothing special for me. Then I actually paid attention to the lyrics in "Christ and Combat," "Incense and Iron," and Venom of Venus" which made me rethink the band. Still not a go to for me, but something I now listen to when working on my hobby. Thanks and keep rocking🤘🤘🤘
I picked up on the Sanctified by Dynamite vibe too. Awesome to meet you at the Sabaton show in Nashville. Hubs and I are going to see Powerwolf at their NYC show for my birthday month!
So excited to see them finally coming to North America in February! From mass and bought a ticket to the new York show instantly and of course they announced today they will be playing in Massachusetts as well 🤣
Greetings from Germany ;D, part of the sound/track/Riff so familiiar for me, check out "Nena - Irgendwie Irgendwo Irgendwann", some of the riffs similar for me, and its sounds great :D
Thank you for talking about the instruments that are used in music videos with lots of rain/water! I was planning on asking about that but then you talked about it. However, I wonder now what Epica did for their Omega Alive concert stream, since it looked like the band were actually playing while being doused with rain effects during one of their songs. Now, since the stream was showing a pre-recorded video and it wasn't necessarily a "live" performance, I suppose it's possible that they dubbed a recorded take they made without the water on to the wet performance we actually watched. Listening to the show, it was pretty clear that they weren't just playing the studio version, but I can't imagine they would get the great sound they did while they and their instruments were soaked.
Im liking this song, but my all time Powerwolf favourite still is, and I have a hard time seeing it beeing beaten, is Army of the night! I still remmeber vividly the first time i heard that intro, it was one of those mornings when I had forgotten to turn down the volume in my car the night before, I put on some random metal playlist on Spotify and INSTANTLY get blasted with "STAND UP ALL THE NIGHT AND CALL THE FIGHT...." My eardrums will probably never forgive me for forgetting to turn down the volume the night before, but I dont give a damn cause holy shit is that a fan-f*ing-tastic song!
The water effects in this is fricken fantastic...makes all of them look bad a$$ with the lighting. Especially the keyboard player(forgot his name)but the very simple things like his wet hair flipping in slow mo...so good. I'm a huge effects guy, so details like this I notice and this is damn good
Epica has a new single too which sounds a little bit different and has a really good guitar work in it. "The final lullaby" feat Shining which I didn't know before but then googled them.
I know this is a Powerwolf reaction but I have to mention that I love that Orden Ogan - Gunman is playing in the background. Another of my favorite bands.
Hey Tank. Call Of The Wild was a very good album, favorite song was Blood For Blood (Faoladh) I'm obviously looking forward to more Powerwolf. A song suggestion check out Beyond the Black - Is There Anybody Out There?. 🤘
Hey Tank, I was going back through older videos and realized you never touched on the titular track from Call of the Wild. I find it an absolute banger. Any particular reason you didn't review it? Possibly lack of a music video? Also, I have a request for review. I was on my daily workplace music when a band and song that I had never heard before cropped up and I have fallen in love with. Solence: Deafening. It mixes metal with electronic, and is a bit repetitive, and they do use auto-tune, so there is a bit of post with a side of cringe. That being said, it is one of the catchiest "out of nowhere" songs I have heard in a while. I'm not requesting a video on this one, just give it a listen. It is one of those ear-worms that is easy to love equally as much to hate. Wanna hear your thoughts.
I just learned that Electric Callboy will not be coming to Denver now and that kinda pisses me off. Do you have any insight to why? Obviously excited to see EC live but I'm a huge fan of Conquer Divide as well. So bummed. I have to edit and say I'm also bummed I won't have the opportunity to meet you. Honestly that was part of why I was excited for this show from the get go...my bad for not making that a focal point lol
This is so cheesy, ridiculous and over the top... I love it! :D Also breakdowns in power metal? Can we agree that it is perfect? :D (yeah maybe not a proper breakdown, but still.. that bridge part was sort of breakdown'ish)
Hey Tank, I was just wondering if you were aware of an American band called Æther Realm, because if you haven't heard of them before, I would recommend that you check them out. In a video or just casually.
checked ticketmaster to NY show tickets last night. only 2 pairs listed, $545 and $586 each ticket. i hope something changes because that price is insane.
Well - to be honest it is to be expected that the "average" song of a band doesn't reach the same level of enjoyment as the top of the list song of the band. At the top of the list there can only be one song that is one's favourite after all (even if the other songs are still in the "I REALLY like them" category). My personal Powerwolf favourite is Dancing with the Dead - I love that song and the music video as well.
You know it will be good when Powerwolf starts singing Latin!
While Powerwolf isn't reinventing the wheel with their new releases, they always deliver on what they do best.
Indeed. Powerwolf pretty much has one song, but it's a damn good one
This song is what forced me to drive over 1800 miles to see them in Denver. loved every second of it!
I will see them for my first time in Stuttgart the week later. I'm really looking forward to it!
@@ErC0411 i´m in Stuttgart too!!
Ill see them in vienna
Kick butt show man...
I will see them first time a day before you 😉 in Berlin
Great to have you back. 😁👍
Great song.
Great honesty on your part...much appreciated.
And remember...your wife might love the text of that corus...😆
that segment with just the guitar & the organ before the solo, so damn good!
One of the best transitions they've ever written, the whole bridge + solo is just so smooth and tasty
It’s very much a Powerwolf ‘paint-by-number’ song and video. And there’s nothing wrong with that, it’s a catchy banger
Ye. Sabaton also has a new song called Father. Definitely check that out as well Tank. Kind of surprised u have yet 😅
Singing about Tuna. Just wait til you hear Amen and Attack, you'll just hear A banana Tank.
God those drums are sick. Excellent song and another excellent video from you Tank.
I'm always so scared of what kind of clean up music videos with rain, snow or other forms of water have to deal with D:
Huge fan of your vids! Powerwolf hasn't been on my radar but I'm digging the Tuna Metal.
one of the best LIVE bands today
At the start he's singing "meum voluntate ventura" which is Latin for "my will to come" lol.
If he wanted to say "my will be done" it would be "meum voluntas fiet", or in the more "traditional" Latin sentence order "voluntas meum fiet".
Dude! That's great that the label PR folks are reaching out to you. Respect.
At about the 7 minute mark on the video that riff that starts is probably the heaviest riff I've heard from power wolf that's new
I got tickets to see them in NYC and I am super excited and cannot wait!!!
I've seen them live twice. First time was on a festival pretty early in the evening in almost full daylight... NOT the best experience in my life. 😅Should be illegal for bands like Powerwolf to play during daytime!

The melody.. it sounds alot like Nena & Kim Wilde "irgendwie, irgendwo, irgendwann / anyplace, anywhere, any time" (it took me a while to figure out where i know that melody)
But as always Powerwolf sounds amazing.
NOW I know why it sounds familiar. You are absolutely right, there is a clear similarity 👍🏻
YES! I was trying to think why this was so familiar. Thank you!
Sooo stoked to have tickets to NYC❤
Looks and sounds very powerwolfie :D haha
Love your reaction and new "background" setup.
Got a new band for your list (don't know if you did it on your other platforms), Wolfheart: a northern heritage and one of the fastest rising bands in the international melodic death metal for Finland.
Got tickets to see them in NYC. Seen some great shows at the Palladium (when it was the Playstation Theater). Perfect venue for a band like them
So excited for their first show in the US in February ^_^ Flying to NY to see it!!!!!!
I mean, it's bog standard Powerwolf, which means it's in the top 5% of power metal right off the bat. They're just that good.
The second you mentioned the tuna I couldn't unhear it 🤣🤣
Same lol
If they were to ever do a gothic play/musical with Powerwolf as the backing music I would stop time with how fast I purchase tickets.
Have tickets for London gig in a few weeks. Will be the first time seeing them, can't wait. Support i s brilliant as well.
you have to check out Beyond the Black, with their new single Winter is Coming!
Good for them that they can afford to tour in the US for once, they deserve to have this opportunity!
Its crazy they are coming to North America finally! Thanks for your honesty and great review. They are great musicians!
they are like a 4 course meal where every dish is dessert
Been listening to this song pretty consistently since its release. And now I can't hear it without thinking he's saying tuna in the beginning. Thanks 🤣
@tankthetech I'm with you on Powerwolf coming to Nashville. I would be there in a heartbeat.
Thanks. All I can hear is Tuna now haha.
Awesome song! Another great Powerwolf release. Digging that killer beard Tank. That's some serious dedication.
He needs to rock the Marko look with a braid.
9:28 Credit where credit is due!
Dropping by to drop a like. Catch the video later.
Great reaction man! Now when I listen to this song, all I can hear is "light tuna" hahahahaha
I'm going to see them for the first time the day after my birthday in Oberberg with my big brother and I'm so freaking hyped😁🎉🎉🎉
I picked up on the Sanctified by Dynamite vibe too. Awesome to meet you at the Sabaton show in Nashville. Hubs and I are going to see Powerwolf at their NYC show for my birthday month!
So excited to see them finally coming to North America in February! From mass and bought a ticket to the new York show instantly and of course they announced today they will be playing in Massachusetts as well 🤣
Hoping that you will be doing Sabatons latest single "Father" soon!
Greetings from Germany ;D, part of the sound/track/Riff so familiiar for me, check out "Nena - Irgendwie Irgendwo Irgendwann",
some of the riffs similar for me, and its sounds great :D

7:58 that sheer power that comes in in this part is what always gets me. It's so damn epic.
Sabaton- Metal ripper, metal crue, and or metal machine ♥️
This is my first time talking alone with this dude in vid I watch like "RIGHT!! RIGHTT!!! THAT CRAZYY!"
loving the new setup with the vinyl wall
That choir at the beginning was majestic. Forget the freakin tuna man xD
Great reaction! my suggestion for a next reaction would be from Avantasia The Inmost Light
Epica has a new single too which sounds a little bit different and has a really good guitar work in it. "The final lullaby" feat Shining which I didn't know before but then googled them.
Got my NYC tix!!!! They just announced some more USA shows!!
Me! Want a goddamned Tuna!
Me! You gonna try the Tuna!
Me! You got that Goddamned Tuna!
Me! You got to turn in That TUNAAA!
Wife and I got our tickets for NYC. It's a trip from Milwaukee but worth every mile.
Damn, dude! Sure is. Enjoy!
Thanks Tank for the nice words about us at VDPictures, much appreciated!
I know this is a Powerwolf reaction but I have to mention that I love that Orden Ogan - Gunman is playing in the background. Another of my favorite bands.
Great reaction as usual. At the beginning of the chorus it reminds me of Sabatons Fields of Verdun. But that is just me.
Love that Ghoul gold mask
That sure is Powerwolf. I love it.
I love that ALESTORM int he background! :DDDD BTW, this song is by my opinion absolutley incredible
So, can we count on a reaction to Eluveitie's Exile of the Gods single tomorrow (the 14th)? If the new single is out on schedule, of course.
You have forever associated Powerwolf and Tuna in my brain...
Ay Tank Love your stuff. :)
Hello M8 this is new Sabaton songs . Im waiting for your reaction
Love the "Tank not to self". So lol. - Even never heard this song before this.
Thx now I can't unhear the tuna bit
Hi, I would recommend -
Wagakki Band - 焔 (Homura) + 暁ノ糸 (Akatsuki no Ito) / 1st JAPAN Tour 2015 Hibiya Yagai Ongakudo
God dammit Tank lol at first I wasn't thinking about tuna but since you've pointed it out now all I can think about is tuna 😆😅🤣😂
I agree it's a grower.
waiting for disturbed reactions ♥️
please..please 🙏
This song is legendary
Looks powerwulfy ❤❤❤😂😂😂 made my Day 😂😂😂😂
Am I the only one getting serious vibes from "Fields of Verdun" by Sabaton?
I don’t want to jynx it, but I have tickets for Berlin 11.11 🎉
Hey Tank. Call Of The Wild was a very good album, favorite song was Blood For Blood (Faoladh) I'm obviously looking forward to more Powerwolf.

Yeah, I usually only check out stuff that has full music videos.
4:23 try "fire and forgive" ;P
Tank you gotta hit In Flames - The Great Deceiver. It’s a banger and reminiscent of old IF
Almost like a reworked blessed and possessed….not complaining but definitely similar.
I just learned that Electric Callboy will not be coming to Denver now and that kinda pisses me off. Do you have any insight to why? Yeah, they announced a few weeks ago that Nico is super sick and his doctor has advised him not to fly.
I want to have Atillas babies. His voice is so velvety. Imagine being able to get sung to sleep
This is so cheesy, ridiculous and over the top... I love it! :D Also breakdowns in power metal? Can we agree that it is perfect? :D

short intervention.... feuerschwanz just released a new video all in english...
dude you fucking with my mind now i will always think of tuna when i hear this song
seen them 3 times. all 3 times at Wacken Open Air. god damn is it a good show every time.
You have to react to Midnight Madonna by them. Its also from Interludium and my absolute favourite song from this album!
checked ticketmaster to NY show tickets last night. only 2 pairs listed, $545 and $586 each ticket. i hope something changes because that price is insane.
Love the reaper VG shirt 🤘
thx for Thuna ... not getting it out of my head now^^

It’s not Demon’s Are A Girl’s Best Friend or Resurection By Erection but it’s definatly a great song
Wait wait how many other vids were there when the HAT DID NOT COME OFF!?!?!!
Plenty.
