Des chanteurs expérimentés ou novices tentent de séduire le public et les 4 coachs, Florent Pagny, Jenifer, Louis Bertignac et Garou lors d’auditions à l’aveugle, de battle et de primes. Présentée par Nikos Aliagas et Virginie de Clausade , la saison 1 de The Voice a été diffusée du 25 février 2012 au 12 mai 2012.

I'm such a huge fan of Kate Bush and her original, yet I absolutely have to appreciate what Al.Hy did there, making it her own song and interpretation because she's not only covering Kate Bush, but also Cathy, giving her a new feminine strength, fear, and expression, I never expected this or thought of it and I really love it. The accent is of course charming.

Parce qu'en France on aime bien les gens qui chantent hors mélodie pour une raison que j'ignore. Là quand même, y'a des moments où tu l'entends happer l'air, elle a clairement eu un souci de respiration pendant toute la chanson. Crier ça va pas résoudre ça.
Elle a chié la chanson, désolé. Elle se chante en voix de tète dans les couplets et en mixte sur les refrains. Je demandais pas qu'elle chante aussi bien que Kate Bush, mais rester dans le ton de la chanson, c'est le minimum.
Euh ... pas tous les français, sa performance est terrible et ruine la chanson, sa voix ne colle pas du tout avec cette chanson de Kate Bush, et même si c'était un "exercice de style" pour "réinventer" la chanson c'est totalement raté ...

A brasileira tem uma técnica perfeita, deve estudar desde muito cedo, pq é bem nova. Mas técnica se aprende com estudo e dedicação. Originalidade e uma voz como a dessa AlHy são outra coisa. Nem todos têm, com toda a técnica do mundo.

I feel like she missed the mark. Cathy is a ghost and the singing style is meant to capture that. Kate Bush sang in a high, ethereal "ghostly" way, but this girl is just all over the place.

I agree, except I think she's playing it to a contemporary audience who doesn't understand the interpretive way Kate intended the song. Most people today don't even know of Wuthering Heights, unfortunately.
Yes, it does sound all over the place, but probably because due to her vocal limitations. Most of the time when a singer sings with an accent, I'm not entirely sure that they understand what they're singing, (although the book exists in French: "Les Hauts du Hurlevent"). They do it phonetically, and if they don't comprehend the significance of the words, they're not sure where to put meaning. Also, I've heard many people with accents sing the song, and the problem is that they have a hard time pronouncing two "key" words, "Wuthering (Heights as well)" and "Heathcliff", I've heard "Wodering"-"Hi" and "Hethclif", those two words are central to the story and need to be clear, "Kath-eee" is pretty easy for anyone. Don't think it was the right song choice for her. It's odd that she's strolling through the song with a "sunny" dress on, when she's supposed to be coming out of the grave. That must be the producers wanting her to look edgy I guess.

I think considering this song is a hard song to perform she did a decent job. And what I really love about her performance is she conveyed the purpose of a song: a lost lover begging to come home to their true love and proved to them that they are themselves and lets have what we missed out on together.
But on that note compare to Kate this wasn't the greatest but it wasn't horrible in my opinion.
Except that's not what the song is about. It's about a dead woman coming to her still-living lover and telling him how lonely she is and how much she misses him on the other side. This performance is much too cheery.

C'est très difficile, et sans trop en faire, avec une voix très différente et plus épaisse, elle parvient à incarner quelque chose de très convaincant

Good singer, I just don't think this song is her style. Kate Bush is very avant-garde, thatrical, and pixie like. This singer would be great at singing songs similar to Adele, Amy Winehouse, or any 'soul' or 'bluesy' type music. Listening to this singer is confusing because I do not see her coming through the music

C'est un peu exagéré bien sûr, mais cette chanteuse qui pourrait être très bonne dans un autre registre a choisi une des chansons les plus casse gueule de la pop, qui est très difficile à interpréter et qui est surtout très très au-delà de son niveau.

Com todos os problemas técnicos, que ficam claro na voz, não me canso de ver esse vídeo e de me arrepiar. Voz, originalidade. Amo como ela faz essa voz da fantasma. Técnica se aprende e até quem não tem voz canta, mas isso que essa moça tem não é para todos!!! Adorei.

Não entendo mto de música ou interpretação, mas tive a impressão de que ela começou bem, mas na hora q foi inovar no refrão, deu uma degringolada... Ainda assim, foi uma interpretação só dela, e eu achei bem desafiador e instigante ela ter resgatado uma música icônica de mais de 30 anos atrás.
