    My two favorite moments in this video are when Vince flames my Witch's fashion choices (aka my fashion choices) and when he uses the phrase "that ol' chesnut"
    As if painting skin wasn't hard enough, Vince here decides to do it with a singular hue. Crazy challenging paint job, you nailed it!!
    Also the title says "monochromatic" but you use two hues????????????? what gives???????????? jk ilu

    Vince, I just can't believe your content is real sometimes. I'll be watching a couple a day, learning all these great techniques, and then randomly I here a 'B-aggressive, B-B-aggressive' and I'm having to pause the video because I'm laughing too hard and I don't want to miss what you're saying. Thank you so much for being the best.

    A ton of thanks for letting us see the way you arrange the pallet and mix you paints! Excellent exercise using only a single color. Really helps us beginners understand what "shading" and "build up color" and "blending" really mean.

    Thanks Vince! I’m prepping some Dark Imperium figs for a small skirmish match and this helps quite a bit with my Death Guard guys. I was planning to introduce a friend to wargaming using Song of Blades, but I just heard about Reign in Hell. I know Adam is a big fan of Blades, and that Reign involves an activation mechanic; if you have a sec, could you provide an elevator pitch re: what sets Reign apart from Blades (mechanically)? I am inclined to use Reign if it’s as approachable as Blades. Thank you for all that you do!

    • @VinceVenturella
      @VinceVenturella  2 роки тому +1

      Sure, my elevator pitch is it's a fast, dynamic game of brutal melee combat in hell. You design your own cabal of demons around a philosophy of how your leader believes hell should be run (basically, the organizing principle of the society of hell) and you fight against other cabals to collect souls which both empower your demons and act as currency.
      Mechanically, I think it's actally quite simply to pick up, that was a goal, it uses only 3 core stats, move, life and combat. The activation system is fun, a short version is this - you roll a number of d12s for each active demon you have in your cabal each turn and then arrange them from high to low. This is public information, so both players can see the order of the other player. Then starting from the highest to lowest (12 to 1) each player may spend one of these dice to activate a demon. If there is a tie, it passes to alternating activations (i.e. if I just went on 9 and we both have an '8' it's now your turn). Makes for a very challenging and tactical set of choices each round as players get runs in certain "pocket" of the spread where they have more activations than their opponent (but their opponent has more later) and so on.
