The best portrayal of domestic abuse I have ever seen on Pakistani television is Kankar, starring Sanam Baloch and Fahad Mustafa, they have beautifully shown it's causes, impact and solution. Kudos
Juni is something I’m enjoying thoroughly. It has the old time charm of classics from the 80s90s. The performances are doing it for me, the cast is brilliant and so is the direction.
Burns RD- the issue isn’t about cricket. The issue is that Farhad didn’t consult with Friya before asking his friends over. I’d have reacted the same as Friya. Plus they made a mess of the living room and didn’t even pick up the lamp once it was toppled. The bike scene was very sweet and showed a lovely aspect of the young newlyweds life

Watching Mrs. And Mr Shamim has solidified Kashif Nisar's genre in my head... He is out there to overturn the idea of a hero... With Haji Mushtaq and Shamim, he is giving the women, and I hope young girls, the perspective to guage a man's worth based on the substance of his character, not on his looks, or bank balance... BRRJ: Farhad’s mother’s conversation was so problematic. I was getting happy that through Kiran’s track they showed how KARMA IS A BITCH. The ordeal of a father recognising the cause of bruises on his daughter’s face, as he himself had been a domestic abuser. But then came mom’s justification for abuse and tolerance for it. “Mard humaray liye mehnat kartay, 100 tensions hoti, ghussay mae haath uth jata, so dil pe na lo”. 🤦♀️
But she has been conditioned to think like that. She tolerated abuse her whole life so she thinks it's normal. Someone like her can't even conceive of divorce lol she would also have a heart attack if Kiran left her husband.
Maybe because she was told those things.. and when we're told something enough times, we believe it to be true. But I hope they show this as wrong. I sincerely hope they do

Your assertion that women who stay at home are privileged is incredibly rude and insensitive, and I respectfully disagree with that notion. In fact, these women are often the most insulted and marginalized in society. Managing a household is no easy task, especially when reliant on someone else's income. Despite their vital contributions to the family, they are often undervalued and looked down upon. In places like Pakistan, their situation is even more dire, facing significant societal disrespect. I find it hard to believe that individuals as enlightened and educated as yourselves would make such statements. I couldn't simply ignore it; it needed to be addressed. Absolutely, a woman who chooses to stay at home to be there for her family despite having the option to work is not privileged; she's making a significant sacrifice and contribution to her family's well-being. Her decision reflects a dedication to nurturing her loved ones and ensuring a stable home environment. It's a form of work that may not be compensated monetarily but is invaluable in its impact on the family's dynamics and the emotional well-being of its members. This choice often involves giving up career opportunities, financial independence, and personal aspirations for the sake of others. I think mujhe kabool nahin is one of the few dramas that actually show a woman getting out of a bad situation and never stop trying. Hope JSPJ lives up to expectations.
Aamna Hassan I would like to ask about JeJ: why is the onus only on Mahnoor to confess? Why wont shahram confess his love and take a stand? Hes been stringing her along in a weird situationship for since such a long time
Talking about interesting and captivating teasers, after Gentleman, I really liked Jafaa's teaser. I'm really looking forward to this drama, especially because it's Sehar Khan's first project after Fairy Tale.
Zard Patton Ka Bunn and Jafa will take the place of Ishq Murshid and Zulm. Zulm ends on Monday. You guys forgot. In addition, Namak Haram and Rah e Junoon will also end in a few weeks.
Agreed with you Amna and Hassan about Shidat. It’s very regressive . I really get annoyed watching Asra tolerating all this . She has been shown an educated girl , from a good family background . Why is she not speaking up and tolerating Sultan . She should raised her voice . I wonder where you can find these type of girls in this era . Disappointed with the writer .
It's a great pity you stopped reviewing Fanaa which has turned into a superb, tense and nail-biting drama. Why not drop that regressive Shiddat nonsense and catch up with Fanaa instead?
Fanaa is definitely interesting! I can’t wait for the next episodes. It may have been slow and confusing at some points but def much better than many other shows.
Shaheera needs to do a photo shoot all glammed up. Unfortunately this industry is husn parast if she wants to get better roles she would have to do this.
Looking forward to your reviews on upcoming new dramas: Inspector Sabiha (express tv) Zard patton ka bann (hum tv) Jafaa (hum tv) Gentleman (green entertainment)

Tabreez and Gulzaib's story is becoming more interesting than Shehraam and Mahnoor. I like both lead characters BUT I forward their convo and more curious about young Tabreez and alia angle. Mr. and Mrs. Shameem. Saba and Nauman are playing well. A must watch. Topic is bold but characters are playing well.
Loving Jan se pyara Juni. Do you think Gentlemen is having too many teasers n spoiling the charm? Or its just me!!! I am already getting the vibes that its inspired by Munna Bhai MBBS , even they copied few dialogues from the film. BRKRJ- I hope the sister comes out of that toxic relationship. I wonder after his fathers death if his mother creates fuss about sons love marriage and stop him coming back home. I hope they wont ruin the drama by giving the property to the son-in-law , for which he married to the daughter. They usually love to ruin things. Shiddat I never watched it after 1/2 episodes.
Our writers choose the most regressive way to highlight a social issue. Since you have watched lapataa ladies recently compare how it deals with problematic social norms to how our dramas do it. The movie gives a counter narrative as soon as the issue or problematic norm is shown. Phool's narrative is countered by Manju maai immediately in almost all the instances. Even in the case of apni psand ki sabzi scene you see how it was immediately and beautifully countered. Our writers drag the character through hell and give a half cooked resolution in the last 30 minutes.
The best portrayal of domestic abuse I have ever seen on Pakistani television is Kankar, starring Sanam Baloch and Fahad Mustafa, they have beautifully shown it's causes, impact and solution. Kudos

Talking about interesting and captivating teasers, after Gentleman, I really liked Jafaa's teaser. I'm really looking forward to this drama, especially because it's Sehar Khan's first project after Fairy Tale.
I love to watch Mrs and Mr shameem so amazing
Please discuss about
Hum style awards nominations
In Islamabad we are still taking blankets and we're even wearing hoodies in the last week
The weather's completely opposite
Don't say this .. Karachi is burning 🥵
Zard Patton Ka Bunn and Jafa will take the place of Ishq Murshid and Zulm. Zulm ends on Monday. You guys forgot. In addition, Namak Haram and Rah e Junoon will also end in a few weeks.
I stopped watching Shiddat after 1episode😡 it made me so angry, it upset me a lot! How can any one be so helpless.
Please watch inpector Sabiha! 57:19
Lhr Allah ka shukr cool cool ❤❤❤
To be very honest, I DIDN'T like the first ep of BRKRJ but the second ep was much better!
There IS NOT MUCH to discuss in khusboo mien basay khatt? As momo says ‘Aye Shavashay’.
Love guru needs a question from Asra.😂
Hahaha
It's a great pity you stopped reviewing Fanaa which has turned into a superb, tense and nail-biting drama. Why not drop that regressive Shiddat nonsense and catch up with Fanaa instead?
Honestly shiddat is time wastage. Same toxic story.even the performances are not up to the level.
Yes i m not watching shiddat but im watching fanaa..it’s slow but i enjoy it
@@sabazeee5341 I really liked the way that two entirely different story strands suddenly got connected in Fanaa.
Looking forward to your reviews on upcoming new dramas:
Inspector Sabiha (express tv)
Zard patton ka bann (hum tv)
Jafaa (hum tv)
Gentleman (green entertainment)
I agree with hassan.... Shiddat drama.. They are just dragging it.. And last m 5 min ka seen de denge ki ldki bahr aa gyi h insbse.. Atleast 5-6 episode hone chahiye na... R i am really waiting ki vo kb bolegi.... Kb uski bs hogi
1:56 Hassan were you talking about video of my cat I tagged you in with voice over of manat and murad?
Why soo much buttering for Sehar Khan 🥴?
Amna is so accommodating. Only to coordinate with hasan, she has taken this scarf. Beautifully thoughtful.
It’s a kheffiya. She’s wearing it in solidarity with Palestine. She’s worn it a number of times before.
Shiddat 33:49, true, it felt like Asra turned into a ‘living dead’
Tabreez and Gulzaib's story is becoming more interesting than Shehraam and Mahnoor. I like both lead characters BUT I forward their convo and more curious about young Tabreez and alia angle.
Mr. and Mrs. Shameem. Saba and Nauman are playing well. A must watch. Topic is bold but characters are playing well.
To upcoming review on Jan e Jahan plz rates
Ayeza & Hamza
Ayeza &Imran Abbas
Ayeza & Wahaj
Ayeza & Humayun
Chemistry❤.
Turned off Burns road once they started fighting over relatives and job😮
حسن !
آپ کی شرٹ بہت جچ رہی 😊کون سے برینڈ کی ہے ؟؟؟
Started watching jaan se pyaari juni becuase u recommended....some scene when dragged but nice watch nahi jaanaara will marry than regret...
Dear Amna its extremely hot in Mirpurkhas MPK,Umerkot erc due to crops and mangos 🥭 also karachi weather is much better compared to other cities
Let us know about your outfits also pyare hassan
In juni.....I think the sister is going to ruin the drama by becoming increasingly annoying.
Both are looking soooooo beautiful ❤️❤️
Shiddat it always takes time to understand and absorb such personalies
Have u seen the red carpet of im.. Dure bilal looking pretty in white but hum tv so chindi.. Couldn’t even create an hd big poster for the screening..
I am loving mrs & mr shameem. Its beautiful ❤
