This song always has me thinking of the past. I don't know how to fully explain it, but it's like the instrumental in the background hints that you're content with your life, and how it is panning out, however the lyrics hints that you also miss the past, and reminisce on what you once had. It just makes the song weirdly soothing in my opinion.

This song reminds me of my friends. I miss my close friends from senior high school. We planned to go to the same university, live in one apartment, and graduate together, but maybe these are just dreams that will never happen because of one argument that turned into a fight and became a hatred that led us to different paths in our lives. I hope they miss me too, because I miss them so much.
I play random playlists on UA-cam that have music based on what I've listened to before and if I listen to the playlist long enough, it'll throw in songs I haven't heard of. This is where that algorithm has thrown me and I don't regret it.
@@Randomperson10083 To put it shortly, the story takes place in the early 2000's in a small Alaskan-like town that is plauged by a wendigo-worshipping cult, in which a small group are trying to figure out the cause of all the missing peoples cases that have happened in the area (all of which by the cause of the cult).
It was a hero named Gelered. He was your average comic-book hero in which he wore a spandex suit. He had met his teacher long ago, where he tought him all he knew. His timid figure, from sadness and being that average nerd, turned into a respectable and honorable guy. With all that coming from just one lesson. Soon he learned the principles of life. To be patient and respectable, to help others in need, and to always put your life in front of yourself. Although Gelered never knew his teachers name, he definitely thought of him as his father. Speaking of his father. He has just died in a mass terroristic attack on a very infamous building. He wanted to stop all of that to other people, to stop their endless suffering from losing a loved one, or worse, their own life. Then he turned to an old man, he was kind and nice and he was also once a great master at work. Although he did a good job of covering all that up as when he searched for and reminence of his acomplishments and name, there was nothing to be found. So in which he gave up as he knew it was useless to keep trying. He then went on to train for hours on end, looking forward to the fact that he, a simple person, not a crowd, nor group, just himself would be able to protect all of the suffering soon ahead. He, Gelered then continued his training to apease his only father figure. He then finally made it, he acomplished his goal. But suddenly his only partner, or... father figure commited his act of death for all of the public to see. As the old man had an apartment at least 20 stories up, with of course our protaganist just a few feet above, on the roof of the building. He saw the old man do himself his deathly demise and just could do nothing but watch as he fell... He couldn't save him, he knew that, yet he felt a pain of sadness strike him. His only friend in his pitiful existence, gone... He then continued his journey, although in greif to become the hero he'd dream to be. By then he had been defeating thugs and criminals for at least a year and had gotten pretty good at it. Suddenly a random criminal caught his eye. He was masked, and it seemed like the local law enforcment needed some help. But when he got closer, he realized this guy must not be some simple criminal, he was a fighter. He had never even carried a weapon yet defeated them with ease. He cranked up his game and went in for the strike. It was fierce and lasted long. He jabbed an uppercut at the masked criminal. He dodged the punch... without even batting an eye as well. The strange person, didn't seem like a person at all at this point! The criminal did just a pinch and it almost sent Gelered flying out of the parking area. He thought to himself, "How could this be possible!" The masked criminal then walked over to him in suspence... to then reveal to him that he was in fact! This was a test to see if the algorithim would bring this to the top. Not part of the story

Despite the happy chorus, this song specifically is so depressing to me. It’s like that feeling of a “it’ll be fine, i’ll just wait it over and pray for the better”facade poorly hidden over crippling sadness, especially in the ending, in which the instrumental slows.
To me this song feels like a train of thought. Lots of stuff is happening/being said but without a ton of meaning behind them. It's very abstract, and I really do enjoy this song.
The song is about J.S Bach's standard chord progression. The line "Someone wrote this song before and I could tell you where it's from" tells about how they used the same chord progression as Bach. Also the word "homage" means to pay respect publicly to something.
