Better off having that base as a distraction because the foundations will just get rocket spammed. Put many decoy pods around the map to distract them that could possibly have your resonator in it. Enemy is going to blow through any deffence that is put up because it's easy. Best you can do is bide for as much time as possible. 1 big base is a mistake unless you have a mountain to build on and make it to where you can only get to it by building stairs and deleting the stairs before war starts.
Problem with that is that there will be an orange circle that the enemy can see where the resonator is! Rocket spam in inevitable, it depends on how good your team is to prevent that from happening with getting control of there spawn. Having high foundations and extra layers of defense means it would take longer for them to take over your base hence giving you time to control certain keypoints of the zone!
Wall stacked bunker base? Care to eleborate? Obviously this isnt the FULL build but more a foundation and showing players HOW good you can build a base!
@Shinitono I believe what's being referred to is anyone whose cut their teeth on RUST for the past 10 to 12 years is applying what that game teaches you there in terms of exploiting base weakpoints and defending from raids. Actually it's why I came here. You recommend half walls. And that's not a good idea they have half the HP of a full wall. So why would I go through layers full HP ceilings when I could blow a half wall 1 time or just path my way through a large base that's honey combed outward in the fashion you've demonstrated here around your Generators. For instance if you did 4 concentric rings of protection around that, using your method, to get to the centre you could blow down and waste your resources or bore into the centre of the base targeting the half walls so you use half the resources to get to centre than you would through normal walls. Wall stacking, to my understanding or what I used to do is similar to how you had your foundations line up closely. Build foundations out from a centre point, then demo all but the first and last foundation only to build back from the last one placed toward the first, with a different shape foundation. When done correctly, walls can be places very near/ on top of each other. Basically doubling the resources to advance 1x foundation space into base
I used to do bases like that before the usage of Biomass and Red Plasma became widespread and rampant. Sorry bud, any Warband with 5 competent players can level that whole thing in 2 minutes tops. They can zone in the Trucks armed with Gattling Cannons from anywhere outside, they can place their bases just outside the spawn, in any world, the trucks do not render if they are far away, you'll see the flying default model who knows behind what kind of cover, and they can spawn outside, head to their garages and blueprint the trucks if you somehow managed to break it before they wiped a chunk of your base. Not to mention they can do that BEFORE the war starts, leaving you 15 minutes to layer your base during the solid prep time, GOD FORBID you have more than one territory to defend and you're the only builder. The missiles to shoot the Gattling Cannons are dirty cheap to make in PvP servers, specially considering each structure has less than 10k life and not a Million+ shields Prime boss that can regen said shields if your DPS is lacking (or lag is doing funny shit). Any Warband that farmed for a day refinery cards and permits and can ask a single member to gather a bunch of steel or tungsten will have enough resources to throw at Territory Conquest for a whole season. Winning PvP Conquest stopped being a matter of skill, it became a matter of logistics and resources, which are ridiculously easy to obtain.
@@adamlevi87 They do not deal damage to players, for some reason, but each Biomass is enough to break a single wall, and Red Plasma has a large splash radius.
@@VahnBlack interesting, the reason why we never used them is because of RPG/c4 and the fact that they felt not safe to use (the other group was always active..) on a new server, a warband tried to use it on us (all warbands were semi bad, new, no co-operation) and we got them off from it instantly - and i was amazed they even tried.
@@adamlevi87 in our server the skill difference between ours and others is massive. We had wars where we Defended went on scoreboard ~15+/0~5 and we still lost (even I scored that high and I'm okay at it, there are far better in our Warband that scored 30+ on that very same war). And they weren't using Trucks yet. If the attacking team did minimal farming and had 10 minutes of prep time, there's next to nothing the defending team can do to stop them. Having the most skilled players does little when the skill ceiling necessary to win is so low, and PKing does not win a war.
@@VahnBlack kinda lost you there .. im not sure what you mean, score is meaningless and only the objective is important (destroy or prevent destruction) also, im guessing you are saying that attacking is super easy and you dont need any prep time (assuming you have the mats ofc - which isnt 10minutes of farming) - and i agreed - attacking is a lot easier in general. when the field is even, and people are on the same power level, trust me, an attack can be hard and also a defend can be hard. (im putting aside all exploits , including lag inducing exploits [those are an extra complication])
You know there is another view option in the building mode. The "real" building mode without jumping and running and trying to angle with the char itself..???

This is what we did on our Last war. Hahaha And we did WIN! hahahaha
rust player 100000% gjjjjjjjjj and ty u a lots
keep going
..... sir this build can be destroyed in 2 min, all we need is a truck with artillery shooting plasma
Do turrets work on truck? Before it didnt
I mean you’re right, but then again if your team is weak enough to let that happen you dint deserve to win in the first place!
Wake up babe, once human players figured out honeycombing and floor stacking.
You guys skipped the wall stacked bunker bases meta.

but doesnt the layers of ceiling just disappear once the foundation gets destroy?
if they get to the center, and if they destroy ALL the foundations that are attached to SET layer.
