After watching this back a few times, I am lead to believe that he started collecting/repairing electronics, esp tv's. Once he retired and had to care for his wife, this new hobby probably made him feel he had a purpose and kept him focused.
Wow I just watched again, some how missed the information at the end good job Jay . Those radios and tube televisions are worth a good bit I would think I know the radios have always been.
As soon as my husband and I saw the dining room table and chairs we gasped! We have the exact same set! We also have the China cabinet and a buffet that matches. I thought I saw a glimpse of a buffet in another room. Bet it is part of that set. Ours belonged to my husbands parents. Bought in 1931. I have the bill of sale somewhere. Will have to look for it. Great video as usual , but these abandoned homes make me sad. Always think about the people who lived in and loved these homes. Thank you for always being respectful of the places you explore.
My grandparents had almost the same dining room set. It gave me a warm feeling to see it. It brought me back in time. I also thought the buffet was in the bedroom. I can still remember all the happy times I had sitting at the table eating holiday dinners. Just like it was yesterday. Oh how I miss my parents and grandparents. They were married in 1934.
You are SO good at these. You go slow but not so slow that it's boring and you cover everything. Your assumptions of items are either accurate or close enough and you always give little educational add ins. Love it. The record player with the fold out drawers and the multiple heaters were so neat. The "dog" was scary. Large possum makes more sense but at 1st glance looked like a dog!
This is an amazing find, I think it’s sad and a shame the son left his history and his parents to rot like that. I realize not everyone is sentimental, but at least clean it out. Whether you toss it in the trash or sell it, it should have meant something to you. That was an amazingly made house that may have made somebody a great home. Jmo
I'm a farm girl...so this was doubly interesting to me. It really told a story. Looked like a loving home...sad real story. Sad thier treasures are left to rot.
@@JPVideos81 I've watched your videos before but never have I got such an unsettling feeling. This house wasn't a happy home. The male occupant definitely repaired televisions. The wife passed away first. The husband died last. Something definitely looks over that property. Please find out more about the property (if possible). The feeling is completely unsettling- illness.
Wow, this house is an antique gold mine! I really enjoyed seeing the antique furniture, appliances and electronics. I love vintage things like that! Great video!
What an amazing find....its a treasure trove of electronic history! I hope that a museum or something like that can get those pieces to fix and show...also that dining room set was beautiful wood craftsmanship! The dining room record player is really awesome, i have one similar in our house but it doesn't pull out the same way...ours is early 70s or late 60s i believe! I counted 23 or 24 TVs ....that is just truly an incredible find! It must have been really exciting to go thru it!
cool. love old stuff like that. i like the old chevy. my grandmas house built in the early 1900's collonel had a big cellar with a coal converted furnace. it was huge. looked like a monster. had a glass heart you could look in and see the flame in there. my great grandfather built it before she bought it. i grew up in it. love old stuff like this ! great video!!
Wow...what an amazing find. JP I love all of your content, but my first love was your abandoned videos. This was one of the best roadside finds. Thanks for finding and sharing it with us. 😁
My late husband owned a successful tv repairman for about 25 years before he passed. If I had allowed it, my house would have been piled high with tv’s and radios, plus other electronic items he was interested in 😊. He had quite a few of those huge antique radios, many still worked. It is amazing how many people would pay big for one of those in working condition. Thankfully, we owned a store and he was able to keep old units for parts and pieces. After they had been stripped of useful parts he would definitely dispose of them. But, we still had a lot of them left after he died and I had to take care of disposing or selling them, plus closing the business and store. This was probably a side job for this man, allowing him to stay home and care for his wife. It is something my husband would have done for me. This brought back some pretty good feelings for me. Comforting.
What a story. You hit the nail on the head. Glad you got to talk to the neighbor. I counted 26 tvs. Abandoned houses, buildings are my favorite videos. Love to see the antiques and way ppl did things. However, I do understand the policies/legality of going to places like this. Thank you so much for stepping out and checking this place out. I will see you in your next video.
Oh my! How I would love to save all those antiques! The record players, radios, some of the TV's, the furniture .... it hurts to see them rotting away. So much can still be saved. That wood dining set is simply gorgeous. The old Chevy truck looks to be a 40's or 50's model. What a fantastic find! Thank you for sharing it with us, God Bless.
Yes JP, this one was out of the park!!! So many items in the house took me back in time to my grandparents houses. I was little in the 60's and 70's. I think "we" pieced the puzzle together quite well. I could tell as soon as you went into the pink master bedroom, with the wheelchair, what had happened. You totally nailed it. She was bedridden in that room. If you noticed, that room was much neater than the others. I felt like it was left as a shrine to the woman. Some of her clothing was even in the drawers. I definitely had an unsettled feeling when you were in that room. I can still feel it as I'm typing this. Looking at the calendar dates, the last being 1981 was when he died, or so I think. Yes, I also felt like he died from a broken heart. One of the calendars was from the 70's. I wonder if that was the year she died. It was nice to get confirmation that what we were thinking was right on target. So sad for the husband. Even more sad was that the son left everything as it was. So many beautiful vintage items were left behind.
Hey donna! It's not often we get to see so much into someone's past and to also get details on their lives from neighbors. This one will be very memorable to me. Thanks for watching.
Epic find, Jay. I was too engrossed in watching to count TV's accurately but got to 20. Loved the antique radios. The kitchen dinette set was just like what we had when I was a kid. They were popular in the 50's. You put it all together so well. This raises the bar for abandoned explores!
I love seeing old abandoned places and as I watched I became more and more sad and had a dread of doom coming, when you reached the last room I was in tears as I knew something very heartbreaking happened there. When I read the info on the place I knew my tears were well placed. Thank-you for taking us along on another awesome video. Also I was born in 1954 and seeing those old 7-up bottles took me back to the days when we would gather up bottles and return them for money and buy penny candy with the money we earned. lol
Unfortunately most of these places have a sad story to tell. But im glad im able to preserve this beautiful place with this video. Thanks for watching.
Yes, small beer bottles were worth a penny, big ones a nickel. I think soda bottles were 3 cents. A beach party was a real find, as there were lots of bottles! Yes, used to buy penny candy. I was born in 1950.
I want to say 28 TVs and 3 radio/record players and 1 typewriter and beautiful hutch...so many items caught my eyes how beautiful that place was then and still could be today too
JP what a splendid find. There were 19 TVS in that house and think a man lived there, perhaps wife that he took care off and it was to much and left everything go to heck. I feel sorry for the couple, you would think someone would come in and help. That looks like a real old Ford Tractor, because we had one the frame is gone. With steel siding on the house that house can be fixed up. This is sad to have tthis property go to hell. The pop bottles you should of taken as they are valuable, just turn your camera off.. There is so much in that house that can be used or refinished and be a rememberance. I am an antique person, I would have you van packed. This was a superfind JP and I love these places. Thankyou for you for stopping by.
This is eerily quiet...crunch..crunch....I just about jumped out of my skin!!! 😂😂 You hit the story correctly!! Thanks for taking us to an abandoned house, I’ve missed them!! 👏👏👍👍💖💙💖💙💖
The wooden handle leaned against the chevy looks like it's for a scythe, the tractor...maybe a snow blower, some of the furniture is crazy sweet! I counted 26 TVs! Awesome video thanks for sharing JP!
I really saw you putting all of the puzzle pieces together especially when you put together the advertising on the truck with the clues inside the house to conclude the owner's line of work. Also feasible was the theory about the wife. Very good JP. I thoroughly enjoyed it. 😁👍
Think 22 TV's? Maybe he dabbled in repair? You were right on with your thoughts of a man caring for his wife. When you panned over the window in kitchen there was a cherry, orange, & grapes pieces hanging. My grandpa built my Sis & I brick playhouse. Grandma hung those on wall for us. Great memory!! Loved this house & in love with that old truck. Longer furniture you thought dresser was buffet. Think there were a couple in house. Dining table was beautiful & loved kitchen table. So much to see & talk about. Epic! Amazing! find Jay!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVED it! 🏡 🥰
Cool video. I love the kitchen table & chairs. Great that you found out about the owners. There's some houses my family lived in that nothing was done with them after they died. They have been left to rot away. Some still has stuff in them. One is a house my grandparents lived in on my cousins' farm. We cleaned out the house but left some furniture and other things my cousins said they wanted. They talked about renting it out but they have piled stuff in it and it is rotting away. Have many happy memories there and it makes me cry whenever I see it. Love when you do these videos on old houses. I see so many things I am familiar with.
The radio-phonograph console at 14:11 is a Zenith. If you look closely at the tone arm of the player, you'll see it has a head that comes to a sort of point above the needle---and _eyes_ because it's called a "Cobra" tone arm. The console we got in the early 1940's (and still stood in the hallway when Dad sold the house after mom passed in 1976) was similar. I later replaced the changer (played a stack of 78 rpm records) with a modern high fidelity changer that would play 78, 45, and 33-1/3 rpm records in the late '50's. The radio/amplifier was AM/FM, so it had pretty good audio range and the speaker was about fourteen inches, so the new "LP's" she bought sounded quite good. We always had music at out house, particularly at Christmastime. We weren't rich, but Mom and Dad got hitched in 1930, at the start of the Great Depression and they really knew how to handle their money. My two brothers and I had a fantastic childhood, leaving us with a lot of wonderful memories. Stay safe, everybody.
I started out watching a show called abandoned on tv then went to UA-cam to search for more abandoned places and that’s when I came across your abandoned videos and binge watched a lot of yours and have always enjoyed the places you found. Great find and as always love your adventures! 😁
JPVideos sorry for my absence, was in a really bad head on collision in March, to be honest with you my brain is just not in anything right now. Trying to get back into things. Trust me, one of your biggest fans!
1981 you are a kid, good for you. I was born in 1949. love that old stove brings back memories in my day. dinning room table and chairs can be reused that is an antique. those pop bottles are worth money also. what a waste. the record player can be refurbished and get it back to working condition as that is an antique also. I think with all the TVs is when one breakes down they just get another. I think the man was taking care of his wife. His wife was confinded to that bedrooom. I can't believe there was no help for the couple. JP those thoughts you gave I believe.
I agree JP, I counted 23 TV's, that's a lot. It's a sad story. Thank you for taking us along with you because I really enjoy going back in time like that and seeing how someone lived their lives. I love the old stoves, I had one for a little while, it was given to me and it was beautiful but I didn't dare cook on it. Well you stay safe JP and God bless you and your family 🙏♥️.
Lol i got that exact cement truck for my 5th birthday in 1972 if my memory is correct somewhere around that time period. What a awesome find you have there great old relics alot of things i remember from my childhood growing up in the 70s
@@JPVideos81 ya sure wish i would of took better care of toys and things like that when i was a kid but when your a kid you just don't think of those things
What a find ., Jay ... I think after the owner retired from the siding business he spent time at home with his wife and repaired televisions etc . ( I lost count around 12 ) .. The dish towel hanging on the cabinet door 10:17 caught me off quard ..wanted to cry...You found a toy ! : } saw some more Christmas ... at 17:27 are Christmas cards and stockings at 17:49 ..definitely abandoned. It is a sad story ..but glad you were you were able to find the background info ...(.you were right about the upstairs bedroom .) The shots of the old red truck tug at the heart Beautiful intro .and outro ..you are an artist , Jay .
Your videos.....MAN!!! A lot of them, I just enjoy from my home in Kansas. The others, like I've told you before, just nail it!!! So glad I get to go with you in video travels, thank you SO much!!!
Really interesting, undisturbed time capsule.....the history was added bonus....you found a rare hidden gem.....one can imagine the guy parked his truck for the last time in that spot 40 years ago....good job!
Hearing the story at the end kinda tugs on the ole heart strings. This was an amazing find. I bet he drove his wife crazy with the TV repair/hobby. So many interesting things to check out. I'll be watching this again and again. Thank you sir
Jay, Thanks for the info., it really makes a difference and you were very close to the facts i your guesses. I watch videos of abandoned placed in England, Belgium etc... Giant mansions ,all kinds of valuables left to decay because of legal or family disputes. So much of that could have been repurposed. At least the son did come and take things, I didn't see ant pictures or nostalgia items and it doesn't look to vandalized. Really lucky to have has an owner who knew how to preserve the shell of the place. Cheers, Rik Spector P.S. Hope your warm and cozy now after the wet and wild time:)
How sad that the son deserted his parents that way 😢😞 his parents worked hard...I know they did because my parents were married in 1947 and dad worked for Delta and mom was a homemaker. It breaks my heart ❤💔 to think their son just walked away and left them 💔😢 A wonderful but sad explore and interesting that you were able to discover what the husband did for a living 🥰 Thank you for another wonderful video 👍👍😍😍
That blue tank looks like a well pump with air tank. Kitchen table 1950s, most in the living room appears 1950s,that Kroley tv , the stereo same yr. Looks like raccoon fur. That place would be a pickers dream for furniture and the TVs. Yes heaters then one you opened had nest was wood stove. Maybe he repaired TVs. Very early air cooler. Metal ironing board. That was a very beautiful house at one time. I have that bed frame missing the sliding doors on the headboard. Those were nice heaters. Great find, just wish you had someone with you. Think you are spot on with guess about what happened. Such a sad story. Thank you for the tour. Lost count at 15 TVs.
I scrolled down to see if---or how many---viewers caught that. The cabin my folks bought as a vacation cottage (and I lived in year-round for several years) after Dad retired had a water pump just like that one. Ours was in a square, concrete block well hole, with formed concrete covers in the front yard, so we always worried about it freezing in our lovely northern Wisconsin winters (it's God's country, but He doesn't live there in the winter). Having it in the basement is a definite advantage. Stay safe.
Nice to see you back exploring abandoned houses again. I think this man repaired 📺 as a hobby probably - I counted +- 19/20 but I may have missed some!! What a beautiful situation the property is in. Looking forward to the next video! Gill🇬🇧
Wonderful roadside find!!! I had the same thoughts about the upstairs room. I also thought the TVs and radios was a side job. One of my uncle's did repairs on TVs and radios as a side job and he loved piddling with them!!! Thank you JP for a great video!!!
Very interesting explore Jay. Great stuff but a sad story and you indeed nailed what had happened there. When saw that upper room and wheel chair, I got the feeling too.
Good find, good find. Thanks for putting things back the way you found them. I find that to be respectful. Whoever lived there could’ve worked on TVs as a side job for a couple extra bucks.
Fascinating video. My parents are from south east IA and we see abandoned farm houses all over. I’m always wondering about the history of those places. I’m glad you were able to get the history on this place.
Wow this was so interesting to see- all those dressers and tables etc were very familiar, stuff my grandma had, all very heavy and made to last. I counted 25 TV's - I bet some of those radios would still turn on. Was a nice house , the details with the woodwork and built in shelves and nooks brings back memories of houses I lived in as a kid. This was very cool to see and it definitely told a story. Thanks for taking us along!
Hi Jay, So much stuff left behind, I loved that old record player/entertainment cabinet. Such a sad ending for this house, it must have witnessed a lot. I really do feel for the couple that lived there, it's definitely not easy if one of the people had medical problem. I should know as I am disabled with my Husband being a full time carer. Thank you Jay for taking us around this lovely old place, take care. xx
great find! Found your videos couple weeks back and tryin' to catch up. I have lots of pictures of abandoned homes etc, most around here you can't go inside cause of all the no trespassing/keep out signs. So it's great to watch your videos. Thanks!

I was 3 yrs old back in 1972 😊
u did some amazing cool intro with the filters jp u brought us back to that time area great find and thank u have a good day today jp greetings
That was my attempt
@@JPVideos81 and u succeed with it thank u.
Absolutely one of the best . It does break my heart though to think of how they were once happy and healthy.
I started out watching a show called abandoned on tv then went to UA-cam to search for more abandoned places and that’s when I came across your abandoned videos and binge watched a lot of yours and have always enjoyed the places you found. Great find and as always love your adventures! 😁
when i first saw the pic of the truck, i thought it was going to say,,"will it run" ? lol,,,
Haha
Awesome find and great explore! Loved the entro! Gave thumbs up as always
Hey stranger
JPVideos sorry for my absence, was in a really bad head on collision in March, to be honest with you my brain is just not in anything right now. Trying to get back into things. Trust me, one of your biggest fans!
Oh man, im sorry to hear that. No apologies needed. Hope you're doing ok.
What a great find . love this video thanks so much
Ty
Wow an amazing video JP thanks for taking us along with you to show this house and its sad story.
👍
Radial arm saw craftsman from the 60s, have one just like it...
I like the log tree floor keeper upper. Lol and I love the stove.
Lol i got that exact cement truck for my 5th birthday in 1972 if my memory is correct somewhere around that time period. What a awesome find you have there great old relics alot of things i remember from my childhood growing up in the 70s
That's great. Seems like a rare item with such a small window for production.
@@JPVideos81 ya sure wish i would of took better care of toys and things like that when i was a kid but when your a kid you just don't think of those things
Wow, what a great find. Thanks so much for sharing. Stay safe,
Another awesome find out of the park for sure.
👍
That was a great find its a real shame that it was all left to rot away...thanks for sharing stay safe n healthy! ✌
😊
Thanks for inquiring about the history. It made the video a lot more interesting than the standard "abandoned" video offerings!
👍
Thank you very much barb
i miss these abandoned house videos great to see some more again 😃
Ty rubi
7-up bottle is from the early 60’s very collectible and well as the coke bottles
Really enjoyed this one. Awesome history report. Love it. Until next time. Safe travels j.
Thank you for this, Jay. I am totally addicted to these kinds of videos. My family and I counted 30 and I agree with you on the story of the house.
Thanks for sharing😄 Yeah, I feel the same. Definitely a sadder vibe upstairs.
Your videos.....MAN!!! A lot of them, I just enjoy from my home in Kansas. The others, like I've told you before, just nail it!!! So glad I get to go with you in video travels, thank you SO much!!!
Thanks so much 👍
Just subscribed. I loved how you tried to understand the people who lived there and your intuition was spot on.
These places are like a time capsule and a glimpse into their lives. It's almost like being a detective, trying to put the pieces together.
Very cool find! Thanks for letting us tag along.
👍
Thank you for sharing all your videos. Stay safe!
Really interesting, undisturbed time capsule.....the history was added bonus....you found a rare hidden gem.....one can imagine the guy parked his truck for the last time in that spot 40 years ago....good job!
Thanks 👍
Love seeing others explore abandoned old places 🤘🏻
Hearing the story at the end kinda tugs on the ole heart strings. This was an amazing find. I bet he drove his wife crazy with the TV repair/hobby. So many interesting things to check out. I'll be watching this again and again. Thank you sir
Thanks Vanessa
Jay,
Thanks for the info., it really makes a difference and you were very close to the facts i your guesses.
Cheers,
Rik Spector
P.S. Hope your warm and cozy now after the wet and wild time:)
Thank you rik
Hi Jay. Awesome video. It was a very interesting explore. A sweet find.
Ty kat
How sad that the son deserted his parents that way 😢😞 his parents worked hard...I know they did because my parents were married in 1947 and dad worked for Delta and mom was a homemaker.
It breaks my heart ❤💔 to think their son just walked away and left them 💔😢 A wonderful but sad explore and interesting that you were able to discover what the husband did for a living 🥰 Thank you for another wonderful video 👍👍😍😍
Thanks for sharing, fun video!
Love seeing more new abandoned property videos
Hi jp been busy finally catching a few moments to relax with one of your abandoned finds 😊
Thanks for stopping by
That blue tank looks like a well pump with air tank.
Thanks for watching and commenting
I scrolled down to see if---or how many---viewers caught that. The cabin my folks bought as a vacation cottage (and I lived in year-round for several years) after Dad retired had a water pump just like that one. Ours was in a square, concrete block well hole, with formed concrete covers in the front yard, so we always worried about it freezing in our lovely northern Wisconsin winters (it's God's country, but He doesn't live there in the winter). Having it in the basement is a definite advantage. Stay safe.
Sorry didn't see this when you posted it JP was out of town but watched the re-play this was a great find LOVED IT thanks for the share!
Thank you Rochelle
Great find jp. That place was eerie but pretty awesome. I'd love to see that place in person.
Many of the items in the house are from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. He obviously had a hobby fixing the old TVs. Very interesting find.
Fantastic videos, thanks for finding these cool and interesting places!!
Thanks for watching
Thank you for sharing! So very sad! Love old homestead discoveries! Stay safe!!
Nice to see you back exploring abandoned houses again. I think this man repaired 📺 as a hobby probably - I counted +- 19/20 but I may have missed some!! What a beautiful situation the property is in. Looking forward to the next video! Gill🇬🇧
👍
Wonderful roadside find!!! I had the same thoughts about the upstairs room. I also thought the TVs and radios was a side job. One of my uncle's did repairs on TVs and radios as a side job and he loved piddling with them!!! Thank you JP for a great video!!!
Seems like he was passionate about many things. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@JPVideos81 you are very welcome 💙
Enjoyed visit to the farmhouse I missed previously. Shame about the previous owners and quite remote but beautiful. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video JP. Sad to see the house and the belongings left that way but so cool at the same time. Thanks for sharing it
Very interesting explore Jay. Great stuff but a sad story and you indeed nailed what had happened there. When saw that upper room and wheel chair, I got the feeling too.
👍🙂
Good find, good find. Thanks for putting things back the way you found them. I find that to be respectful. Whoever lived there could’ve worked on TVs as a side job for a couple extra bucks.
I hope the owner can appreciate me documenting it before its gone forever.
JPVideos and I hope they see this video. 🙃.
That was a great find JP ! you never know what's out there so keep exploring.Good investigating on the property.
Fascinating video. My parents are from south east IA and we see abandoned farm houses all over. I’m always wondering about the history of those places. I’m glad you were able to get the history on this place.
Thanks for watching sheryl
Great find, glad to see u back out there doing what u do best!!!
Thanks jason
Excellent find. Such a sad sad story. 😔😔🌿🌷🌿
My favorite video so far. I would love that old stove! It’s in great shape.
My pleasure
I came from EWU crew and so glad o found you they started get boring with just old police cases I missed watching abandon places!!!
Check out my abandoned remains playlist to see more abandoned adventures.
Really good job on the tour. I appreciate the “heads up” about the dead animal. ♥️
Thanks holley
Cool story and video great find can’t wait for the next one and see where you go
On the hunt. But this one will be hard to beat.
JPVideos why is it in the woods in the middle of nowhere
@@robadventures9222 that's where it was built...
Thank you Jay for taking us around this lovely old place, take care. xx
My pleasure sue

Amazing video, Jay! One of your best and one of the best if any I have seen. Love your stuff, great job! Take care! 💖
Thank you very much
You were spot on!!! Amazing!!!!
👍 thank you
great find! Found your videos couple weeks back and tryin' to catch up. I have lots of pictures of abandoned homes etc, most around here you can't go inside cause of all the no trespassing/keep out signs. So it's great to watch your videos. Thanks!
