Gooseworxs at some point did say that aside of the main nine episodes there might be some short-form mini episodes along the way, nothing mayor in any way, and more of just a gig to expand on the characters in.

Murder Drones's problem was having only 8 episodes. That's why it was so flawed. It was too fast-paced and had little time to process character development, world-building, and the lore, giving people a hard time understanding without doing research.
Let’s hope they don’t do a Murder Drones and put in countless amounts of lore but never expand on it or end on a cliffhanger. MD had so much potential to continue for another season but it never will despite needing another one
It’s honestly kinda sad, we don’t know enough about the story to decide whether there would be enough for season two but I still think with what we have right now we could definitely have a season two
For those who are upset about this, it is probably better off that The amazing digital circus is just a limited series because the longer a show runs for people are going to get tired of it take a look at the Loud house That show used to have a extremely huge fanbase now the fanbase isn't as big as it used to be due to most people getting tired of it Granted there are some shows that can still be relevant to this day and still have a fanbase to this day such as SpongeBob and The Simpsons but TBH I think the amazing digital circus is better off with one season to prevent seasonal rot and people are going to get tired of it if it were to keep going
well for spongebob,it was meant to be a series,we got almost every character introduced in the first episode,or Spongeboy since that's what he was called first,so yeah over stretching a series like this, won't really affect it's fanbase, that's if we count the 9 years old that are obsessed with the show. as of for the loud house, yeah it's fanbase is shitty, and fetishes and stuff. as for the murder drones fanbase,we are getting fanmade animations and stuff so i won't say it's dead. As for the simpson,no don't worry it won't end after season 36.
I don't get why people say "well at least the show didn't become like SpongeBob or The Simpsons" when those shows had no overarching plot or story, at least not to the extent as the shows they're talking about (Digital Circus only has 9 episodes because Gooseworx believes it's enough to tell the story) cuz those and The Loud House are more... Idk how to describe it but I don't see how tadc could go that route
It seems gooseworx is planning for one season so that's fine. The issue with Murder Drones is early on in interviews, Liam and Glitch said "yeah for season one we think we are going to explore why N and the other murder drones are like that". The way they talked about murder drones early on was that it seemed like a multi-season show.
Yeah, it was confirmed when the Digital Circus first aired that it was planned by the creator herself that it would only have one season and one season alone. Murder Drones was planned to have more seasons, but was ultimately cut short as of recent times, hence the fans (like myself) being left disappointed. I guess Mr. Vickers either couldn't come up with a decent story for a second season, or the show was just too expensive for Glitch to continue producing... 😢
The multiseason thing was back when it was more slice of life and less killing an eldritch space program. Several seasons would have worked for something that wasn't so focused on one singular plot, but Liam leaned more into the "one overarching plot for the whole show" and it was done within 9 episodes, so MD is done.
While I’m sad to see digital circus and murder drones go it also makes me extremely excited. It proves that Glitch isn’t in this for the money. They genuinely want to give more creators a voice and make the animation industry a better more creative place. Well u couldnt be more wrong about that. Why do u think Murder Drones actually ended? The views were bad and going downhill with each episode so Kevin and Luke threw it under the bus as it cost them millions in revenue to make something nobody was even watching and the same was said from whatever the hell Meta Runner was and only had 2 seasons that nobody even watched neither btw. So yeh they gotta eat and pay bills somehow and throw another creator under the bus and ditch Gooseworx like an aborted baby.
I'd like to make my own animated show one day as well and trust me, this gives me hope too. Even though I'd like mine to last a little longer than 9 episodes, I've still got a lot of determination and ambition to get it started. I'm not sure what yours will be about, but from one aspiring showrunner to another, I wish you plenty of luck it'll turn out well!
With spongebob being 25 years old, I think it's good to remember that the creative vision of Stephen Hillenburg was for the movie to be a series finale after its 3 seasons. Who knows better than the creator when the story should end?
Right? Like from it's conception, it seemed obvious that there was a limit to this show. I'd have been surprised if there was a season 2, because why? Honestly TADC is one of those premises that works best either as a short series (like it is currently) or as a full length movie, but nothing more...I mean, I guess there COULD be more, if you wanted to drag it out, but it always seemed obvious to me that Gooseworx is telling a specific story, here~
I'm honestly glad The Amazing Digital Circus is a limited series. The last thing we need is this current gem of indy animation become stale. I just hope that we get interesting episodes. I was hoping for more than just 9 episodes but I guess if that’s what gooseworx needs, then I’m glad they can tell their story how they want
Maybe they could make a prequel, spin-offs, or animation shorts focusing on the character more, but it will be better if it ends with season 1. As an already die-hard digital circus and a long-time gooseworx fan, I don't want this show to end 😭. But it would probably turn into another spongebob situation where the series starts out really good but then drags on
You know i think the series Glitch makes arent supposed to be long-lasting shows. I mean, i think that the plot is supposed to be short, solveable, and not making us go theorizing about what happens after one episode. I also think that it makes sense tho because a studio like Glitch wouldnt have that high of a budget to make a series last for 12 seasons or something like that.
They should make seasonal or yearly specials for the show, maybe like 40 mins long. That way, the show could still continue, so nobody will get bored of the show, and pomni has more chances to escape.. I'd like to actually see a Christmas special, maybe the circus gets snowed in and Pomni has to figure out a way to entertain herself, and prepare for Christmas, while subsequently slowly losing her mind...
well we’re getting a spooky episode for this spooky month so they clearly aren’t against the idea of theming that fits the season. That being said it would definitely have you be yearly as they already barely make more than 2 episodes per year
I would actually like a mini series about every single episode 1 characters and their experience to when they got trapped and maybe even now Cain got here
I love how we're already talking about it ending and we're only three days away from being 1/3 of the way through the story if the 9 episode count Netflix dropped is correct.
I mean I've already commented but I think that murder drones and TADC or even any GLITCH show if they wanted to which has ended should continue in a short series show following up on the ending and the characters living their lives
I feel that despite the fact that many, especially fans, think that they disagree with this, I feel that it is the fairest thing to do for a series like this, so that it doesn't continue to stagnate, and that every time a new episode comes out, more people will notice the flaws in it, so to speak.
Honestly I respect gooseworks for this decision, so often do we find shows going on for no apparent reason other than to make more money or capitalize on something successful, if we can get a complete beginning to end story of TADC i will be extremely content with whatever we get
TADC to Indie Animation is what FNAF is to Indie Gaming basically. Also if we can't get a season 2 it'll be pretty cool if we got an actual old-computer esque flash game based off the adventures of the Digital Circus, basically what's established in canon minus the risk of getting stuck forever lol
I'd say it depends on how episode 9 will go, if it ends on a closed story, then that's fine, but if it leaves more questions then answers, that's when it'll be a problem, but really, only time will tell
Yup, this show just secured its legacy. Every show that had a great start but a short lifespan (with an actual conclusion in mind and not just being canceled) has always been heralded as great. The only way for digital circus to fumble is if it declines in quality, which I doubt will happen.
Aw man. Well, I gotta respect the creator’s decision on not stretching the story thin for the sake of clout. At least on the bright side, that means there’s a chance we could have an explosive series finale! 😊

I don’t see how this was a surprise because murdered drones ended with the first season (and for people who think there is going to be a second season of that….. I don’t know what to tell you it just doesn’t seem like they could do that)
Wdym there couldn't be a second season? The finale was rushed like crazy and there was a lot of unanswered questions lore wise. Heck the finale even sets up AT LEAST two potential future threats.
Perhaps it’s for the best… it always feels like the best shows are cut short while the worst ones go on for way too long. Yet the good ones are remembered for many many years.
In my opinion it's not that sure that TADC is ending after Season 1, maybe the creator just answered in the clever way, because the one who asked mentioned only one term - "Season". What I mean is that there are others popular ways of calling the next continuation of the original work like: "Movie", "Arc", simple "2" or just new episodes on the different but similar - modified title.

I also think that it makes sense tho because a studio like Glitch wouldnt have that high of a budget to make a series last for 12 seasons or something like that.
i think this makes sense. making TADC episodes takes a lot of work!
That being said it would definitely have you be yearly as they already barely make more than 2 episodes per year
It’s good gooseworx is in control, but this show is an experience!
I would actually like a mini series about every single episode 1 characters and their experience to when they got trapped and maybe even now Cain got here
Cain was coded in
I love how we're already talking about it ending and we're only three days away from being 1/3 of the way through the story if the 9 episode count Netflix dropped is correct.
Bro NOOO!!! i hope there will still be other seasons
Considering what came of it, that choice is for the best.
Glitch and gooseworx are going to register the 2 left episodes before is ended!
9 episodes is a good amount. I can't wait to se what goose has in store next!
Honestly I respect gooseworks for this decision, so often do we find shows going on for no apparent reason other than to make more money or capitalize on something successful, if we can get a complete beginning to end story of TADC i will be extremely content with whatever we get
Meta Runner, Sunset Paradise and Murder Drones were all hard enough to see go…
The creator of this show being specifically on Tumblr is so right
Better than Twitter or Reddit.
Well, hope it goes well in writing, animation and they team behind it!
Honestly, this is great news. I`d rather have a good miniseries that I can rewatch a lot than a long directionless show
It's hard to see great shows ended.
Do not compare FNAF to this
@@Calamity25 yeah fnaf is way better
@@saturnking-il4fp Haha no
@@CrustyFox87 haha oh look i cant acept other people opinions 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
@@saturnking-il4fp Leave me alone. Just because I’m not a fan of FNaF doesn’t mean you get to insult me. Okay?
Absolutely fine with this. Go out with a bang.
I'd say it depends on how episode 9 will go, if it ends on a closed story, then that's fine, but if it leaves more questions then answers, that's when it'll be a problem, but really, only time will tell
At least every episode feels as important as the last
Like Murder Drones “do you know how much one episode costs to make?!”
Like $50 right? 👀
@@Marvelfanatic3658no, that's not even close
@@Marvelfanatic3658 hundreds of thousands of dollars
@@Marvelfanatic3658 Around 120 times that amount, yeah.
Yeah but they have that netflix and halloween store money now
I Miss when animated shows had 6 seasons and a movie
Like spongebob 😢
my little pony g4 mentioned
The thing is,Digital Circus doesn't need more than one season
I’m glad they are choosing quality. But PLEASE MORE THAN 9. PLEASE 🙏
I don’t want the amazing digital circus to end i want more, i like this series
Yup, this show just secured its legacy. Every show that had a great start but a short lifespan (with an actual conclusion in mind and not just being canceled) has always been heralded as great. The only way for digital circus to fumble is if it declines in quality, which I doubt will happen.
Aw man. Well, I gotta respect the creator’s decision on not stretching the story thin for the sake of clout. At least on the bright side, that means there’s a chance we could have an explosive series finale! 😊
Im happy the show will end on it's own terms can't wait for the next episodes 🎉
Even if it does end in ep. 9, we still got a couple years before that happens. (Based on the current upload schedule)
Let's hope it goes out with a bang.
well, we had a fun three episodes
There will be more than three episodes.
There's gonna be more just no season 2
It’s not ending after 3 episodes
great three episo
İt has 8 Not 3 silly
As a long time GLITCH and SMG4 fan, murder drones was hard enough to see end
Plot holes or too attached?
@@liltoad9050 Too attached prob
Yeahh imo murder drones started to fall off after episode 3. Plot holes really started popping up, and they forced nuzi too much.
@@liltoad9050Both
@@Cubezy2 yeah im going to be honest i do kinda agree, i got more lore for the funny 2 robots than the actual lore, still enjoyed the lore
I feel like one season is good enough since i sm scared that it'll be milk to death if they greenlight season 2 and beyond
Yeah
@@watchforever1724 Yeah since not all indie shows need to continue beyond the first season except for the helluvaverse
@@Mr.Feather130 yeah
It's a shame; I was hoping we'd at least get 13 episodes, but that was the season length of my day; so much was better back then.
Man Murder Drones as well as Digital Circus are some of my favourite shows of all time and I do like that their ending it with just one season MD ending was a Banger so I cannot wait to see what TADC is cooking up next 👍
Kinda knew this would happen with all the content farms running around 😢 Edit:damn thanks for the likes
Content farms ruin everything
Its not because of the content farms
@@animeboy200p2 true
No - it was the original creator's decision, no outside influence.
@@SideReverse I’m saying that I had a feeling that it would just end early not fully because of the content farms although I do feel like that was one of the reasons
It’s so hard to say goodbye
Well we still got 7 more episodes to go so don't worry
Not goodbye
@Greggs30806 I thought it ended on episode 3 or at least that's what I got from it
@@sorathefiredragon7390 Well don't worry, he meant that there will only be one season of The Amazing Digital Circus. So there should be 8 or 9 episodes in total.
Yeah, this had already been said
I feel like it’s possible to stretch it into two seasons (maybe having more character development or splitting it up) but anything more than that would be too much
Thats good because since it takes long to post new episodes its understable
Pomni will forever be trapped in the digital circus
Episode 3 will probably have her escape
@@djm334-goomodding I don't think so
I don’t see how this was a surprise because murdered drones ended with the first season (and for people who think there is going to be a second season of that….. I don’t know what to tell you it just doesn’t seem like they could do that)
Most of glitches shows have only had one season, the only one having multiple being meta runner, their first show that had 5 I believe
Wdym there couldn't be a second season? The finale was rushed like crazy and there was a lot of unanswered questions lore wise. Heck the finale even sets up AT LEAST two potential future threats.
@@aethermaster1153 really witch ones?
I would rather have a show that end on its own terms rather than have it keep running and running until no one is enjoying it.
ppl with Adhd and autism will continue to consume I PROMISE
if there can't be season 2 then it's a self contained finished story that is not watered down
dang, i was really looking forward to new seasons of the show but 9 episodes of a show like that is just sad
I can accept that TADC is getting only one season. But I will never accept that Murder drones only got 8 episodes.
We need more😭
Murder drones season 2 😧😐😑😤😔😞😊😁😄😆😃
Return of murder drone
yup there is so much more to be expanded and explored :(
Wow, giving it the Murder Drones treatment, isn't it?
and even then it still gets more episodes :')
You gotta be kidding me!!!
The show was always planned to only be one season long from the beginning so it's kinda old news.
Perhaps it’s for the best… it always feels like the best shows are cut short while the worst ones go on for way too long. Yet the good ones are remembered for many many years.
This infuriates me on such a deep level. I was so looking forward to the lore and explaination!
I wish the end of TADC is a start of a new good cartoons
