Today my instructor and I did some cross country, and on the way back, we decided to do a touch and go at KXNA. Airport: KXNA Aircraft: N7569G Flight School: @Fly_ARH
Nice job all around. Your foot work on short final is good, but notice how using any aileron at all yaws the nose the wrong way initially. We don't want to turn so need no aileron. If using the side slip technique, set the bank angle and then stay off the steering wheel. Correct rudder yaw to bracket/nail the centerline between our legs will also stabilize the wing. Unless still working on the PPL, Vx or Vy is never appropriate on long runways. There is no reason to climb through and therefore give up free ground effect energy. We don't need this extra free energy until we need it, say at high DA, and then we need it. Once up and out of ground effect, we can't easily get it back. Just old crop duster fussing. Good job all around.
Fantastic landing! Totally greased it ..
4 more months till solo!!❤
