Can you put subtitle please, so I can use the translator option. Thanks, nice content.
yes, sorry I thought there were automatic subtitles. do they not work?@@topone2702
@@ArtOfTheProblem This works very well because of the clarity of your pronunciation. it's just a little uncomfortable because the way automatic translation works is a bit... you know (Need extra attention to read it). But apart from that, your content is very good, I hope you continue to produce this kind of content.
appreciate the feedback I"ll make a point of adding translations@@topone2702

I absolutely love the content of this Chanel. It is really a crime that it's not better recognized.

Just fantastic. Brit, you are like the Bob Dylan of deep UA-cam videos: eerie, poetic, weird, revelatory and much too underappreciated. A new sound, unfamiliar, and yet somehow ageless.

Amazing. Sooo looking forward to the next video already!
excellent glad to hear it
This is the first time (as far as I remember) that I am commenting on a youtube video. This channel is Fantastic.
wonderful, hope you enjoy the whole series, i'm still working on it
Once again, nailed it! I love your videos.
very much appreciate the words of support

Well done on the intro. You've really homed-in the message on this video.
When I understand and learn the WHY? The complex technical stuff becomes so much easier! Thank you AP- What a great series of videos!
glad you found this!
Hey Brit, you just made an excellent video! Deep Learning very well explained. Looking forward to your next creation.

I would like to take a moment to say that I am glad you're back to producing videos.
Glad you're back making these. Really enjoy your narrative style. You choose your words carefully and your story development is fantastic. Thank you for making these!
I appreciate the kind feedback. I do sweat over each word which is why these take so long to make.

This is such a high quality content, thank you for doing this! Can't wait for the next episode
appreciate you saying that. Stay tuned!
Great video, Thank you! Looking forward to the next parts in the series!
excited to keep working on them, appreciate the encouragement
Interesting to think of this as a way to spot ‘fixed points’, which are islands of stability or local optima. For all sorts of things: languages, images, behaviors, etc.
very much so. I'll likely touch on this idea later on
AMAZING!!! Words can't describe how good this video and information is. Can't wait for the next parts.
that's so exciting to hear. stay tuned
Waiting for this series from so long.
Great video as always.

super glad you found this content! nice to have the feedback
Quite simply, the most concise, brilliantly animated and just all over stunning piece I have ever seen on the topic. These videos are made by a quiet, reclusive and humble man, who also happens to be a genius.
thank you for your kind words, i'm finally putting final touches on the last video in this series due out in a day or two...it took me 2 years :( - i'm hoping to revive this channel by naming all the videos in this series more effectively if you have any ideas please let me know
This channel is a treasure. I think with a little bit of marketing you can far exceed the 55k subscriber mark. Its potential is far beyond this.
open to ideas!
Great series. Looking forward to the next episode. Good luck!
thanks for the encouragement
How is it that you have so much great content but not a lot of subscribers? It's unfair for such Good quality content.
spot on ❤, this channel is awesome.

Exceptional. Truly Exceptional quality Brit.
that means a lot to me, I sweated that one a bit.
Best video yet.
Just rewatching bc I love this channel
Great video as usual! They go by so fast, because I'm always
sucked in, I swear.
It's scary to think that one day you'll be able to manipulate
a video to make it look like someone was at a crime scene just
to frame someone. Like I wonder if we'll have to start throwing
away security surveillance for something else. Nonetheless
the next decade will be very intriguing.
Thanks for this awesome video!
love to hear it. also, I agree
nice
Another utterly fantastic video. Informative but not overloaded. Maintains a clear narrative that is understandable and somehow, and I don't know how these brilliant makers pull it off, somehow they reach the essential core of a topic and put into in clear words and images. This is an astonishing feat.
Thanks again, I work on these videos alone and i'm currently writing the last video in this series, it took me over 8 months...and sometimes I get mad at myself for 'over writing' in an attempt to simplify, and then I simplify to the point of dissilusionment and forget why I'm making the video :) ....but these little pats on the back can help me. I'm going to press on. let me know how you like the rest of this series so far, as the next video will be on GPT LLM's
Thank you so much for your reply! Please, please do continue making videos. I am deeply impressed by how long you work on a single one of them, I could immediately sense how much work and dedication went into what I was watching. I need to be disciplined though, and ration them more prudently. I must not watch them all at once, however tempting. I need to make a Patreon account, to help support this work. @@ArtOfTheProblem A reply from the man himself! How nice. Just wanted to say it's been incredible watching your channel. It's like you're the first person I see who's interested in the exact same topics as I am. Being AI, intelligence, complexity, emergence, simulations, life and evolution. Please keep up the good work. Also, perhaps a dumb question. But is there any social circle you are active in that discusses these topics?
Love this video, period! Great work man!
I really appreciate the feedback. I'm thinking of doing a shorter, more general/broad follow up video that helps orient people new to the field, and looks ahead a bit more. any thoughts?
Even the story of Pinocchio and the Golem reflect this idea.
indeed they do

8:49 "...working at the level of patterns of activations, or feelings, first"
I almost cut that line, but put it back at last second
@@ArtOfTheProblem As I was wondering how the unfocused cognition of a child transitions into the focused cognition of an adult I realized much of the focus of cognition seems dependent the utterance of words in my internal monolog. Thinking back to how humans acquire language, it is through situational association. I've started to suspect words are meta-memories composed of a weighted (initial intensity minus time-decay) summation of emotion/activation-pattern when we here the word. Once the system that initiates the word-related activation pattern is sufficiently strongly conditioned (word learned), it can be externally triggered or internally summoned (making sentences and stores strings of abstract (semantically inter-modifying) meta-memories). Words (perhaps just advanced primate calls) arose because evolving humans had enough overlap in situation-to-emotion mapping to coordinate common sound symbols for those "shared" situational emotions and achieved survival advantage by invoking these meta-memories in each other. I wonder now how path dependent our current vocabulary is. I feel so much strength in learning and applying the apt word to a situation, though I know by naming it, I confine it, blind myself to its complete, ineffable nuance. There isn't much hiding in other languages, just painful overlap in a semantic sense, but perhaps there is more hiding in the unknown unknown. Perhaps there remain ancient neural storms in search of an aural lightning rod. Long lost words, patently holding their breath, just beneath the surface of the deep.
