Dr. Bob! You’re amazing! And your question at the end made us laugh out loud. The “Baby” Blue USB mic is a simple microphone that has a great sound at a great price. The Blue company has set out to change the way we think about microphones. This was a great video! Thank you!
LEDs have come quite far in just this amount of time. now there are LED lights that mimic tungsten, are sequenced to minimize or eliminate flicker, and have color blending abilities for richer colors.
Dr. Bob.... I have a question... I have an old school par-38 system that ran incadescant lamps , I have had to replace with LED bulbs...I upgraded to a DMX control board and dimmer packs that don't seem compatible with the lamps....and won't run....what gives?
The name of the company that makes the microphone is named Blue and the model you have there is called a snowball microphone which is why it is white, though they do make it in black as well.
isn't the spread of a PAR's beam (Wide, Medium, Narrow or Very Narrow) determined by the Lens on the front, not by where the "bulb" is located inside the reflector. a Very Narrow has a clear lens. a Narrow has a slightly frosted lens. a Medium has a lens texture that looks like multiple rows of tiny rectangles. a Wide is similar to the Medium except there are more rows of tinier rectangles.
Where to start? Pars are different image size due to the lens on the lamp front, not the placement of the light source. And where exactly do you get fresnels where the reflector moves to manipulate the image? I've never seen one in my life and have had to make do with the usual lamp tray movement.
According to Wikipedia: The exact derivation of gobo is unclear. It is often cited as "goes before optics" or, less often, "goes between optics". An alternative explanation is "graphical optical black out." So you're both right (or wrong) ;)
This is clear and straight to the point. There is lots to learn. Thank you and you're pretty funny!
Is it just me, or does he sound like the great and late Stan Lee
I was really thinking the same thing
BLUE: Baltic Latvian Universal Electronics
it's an acronym that's why
Dr Bob rocks. Great production. Informative and passionate!
Closed Captions on this is fantastic. Loved the Park Hands 😂
I'm told I'm supposed to end this with something in lighting.... lmao this entire CC experience was great
What's the correct? (ENG is not my native language)

Great video, had to remember some of the terms! Blue is the name of the brand of microphone! Haha
can you talk about, how to light the different types of stages? thx
You sound like Stan Lee. Haha. Excelsior!

I ,loved your lighting presentation.
Bob, I do like my hands.. so .. I've liked and subscribed. Also - if you'd put a gel on a spot, you could make the microphone match the name.

Dr. Bob, I have a growth on my nut sac. Can you help me?
I love this man.
Can you suggest any book regarding this or make a pictorial representation in order to get more clear idea
GOBO is the acronym for Goes Before Optic
Excelsior!
Brilliant. Exactly what I needed. Thank you.
Dr Bob I have a lump on my ball sac. Please diagnose this and cure my disease!
Take it out on the road and see how it works 💡
A white microphone named blue?
I dunno.
Why does a "Blue 'tooth'" go in your ear? I've been trying to figure that out for years.
Bob has a temper that made me giggle
What about fresnel lights
This guy makes me laugh
that’s the Blue Brand Snowball model

Theatre lights (fresnels) are built this way for sure.
Sir i dont want my hands cut off-????
Actually GOBO stands for:
Graphical Optical BlackOut
(NOT Go between)
According to Wikipedia: The exact derivation of gobo is unclear. It is often cited as "goes before optics" or, less often, "goes between optics". An alternative explanation is "graphical optical black out."
So you're both right (or wrong) ;)
I thought the fresnel lens was invented by Jean Augustin Fresnel
Thank you for catching that! We will adjust accordingly.
