This game is definitely best played naturally first, because it is absolutely incredible. Since the moon ancestors are so easy to mop up it's not a big deal if you miss them.
Couldn't have put it better myself. There's no guide to show you the way, thus forcing you to explore and experiment. A solid reas9n why Indie games can be some of the most rewarding experiences.
This game is mind blowing. Tells you so much with visual and audio cues. No need for tutorials, just the A button and your intuition. A phenomenal experience. As always, thank you Maka for the guide, I missed a couple of the ancestors and with the simple checkpoint system of the game and your help I grabbed them in 2 minutes.
Nah. You need a tutorial for the collectibles. Especially on that last moon ancestor. I was going crazy looking how to get it. Youre a liar if you say you never needed to look online for anything.
@@roikiller762the comment would say "edited" if it had been changed, so no they can't have edited it, unless youtube itself bugged for everyone else viweing their comment.
If anyone is just using this game as easy gamerscore, I really hope you do yourselves a favor and actually play through it first, then worry about the achievement cleanup later. Fantastic game. Thanks for another great guide Maka!
Cheers for this. I also missed 4 achievements/collectibles on my run, and this helped massively, particularly the indication of which 'percentage' each ancestor is found in. The harder part now is figuring out exactly what the hell the story is trying to say...
I wish collecting all of these unlocked a final secret, in similar vein to what happens in INSIDE when you locate all the orbs and get access to an alternative ending. This game was hella amazing, and it was very noticable that it was created by some of the same people who developed the amazing INSIDE title.
@@lesterama6110 There is a separate secret ending yes, but it doesn't relate to just collecting all the moons, but as I mentioned collecting them all does affect the normal ending scene.
Great guide, as always, Maka. I was missing 4 by the time I beat the game. Always straight and to the point. This is why I always come to your page first to see about any guides for any achievements I need.
Almost a year later! Thank you so much for your video showing where to find these guys! I found all but 4 (though honestly, I was kind of speeding through it after about checkpoint 75% to just see what is going on!?), and didn't want to re-start just to look for them again. Thank you for getting me to 100% completion! Fantastically fun puzzle game with unique puzzles and mechanisms. If someone is reading this and hasn't picked up Cocoon, and puzzle games are your jam, PICK IT UP. It's fantastic, short, and just the right amount of creepy but cute to keep you invested in your little moth-man's journey.
At 46% "Skin Deep" You neglect to mention it starts you at a solved puzzle. When you start the chapter you must activate the button on the platform with the green and orange orb to move to the next area.
Yup. I was like, where am I? LOL. After running around like madman for like 15 minutes and reloading twice, I was like wait a minute. 🤔 Let's click here. 😅
Many thanks for this upload! I would probably never have found the Loophole without help. - And if you look at the achievements, you can assume that many others have had the same problem.
Thanks for the Guide Maka, I missed three ancestors, really good system of putting the % point you find them at into the lower third, made the video really quick to use!
Loved this game & although I figured out most puzzles on my own there was some I needed to look up guides for 😅 I had 4 Moon Ancestors missing at the end so this video helped a lot; glad they didn't take long to get.
Thanks again for an awesome guide!❤ If you hadn't made this video and couldn't quickly and easily extract 1000G from it, I surely wouldn't have experienced this fantastic game. The world it takes place in, plus the puzzle elements, are something incredible.❤❤❤🎉🎉 Thaks again Maka!
It's the musical tones. If you mess up, you'll hear a quick four note tune telling you the proper tune you need to play. Each diamond has a different note.
Ive finished the game, but did miss some of the moon ancestors. How does the load work? Can i load at a certain %, collect, then quit and load to find another?
U can just go back to the % where the moon ancestors are also there’s a secret ending in this game but it’s done with codes I had to look it up on UA-cam

It does in a way, you get to see them all at the start of the final area (92%) and then again in the final sequence before the credits roll.
