This popped up on my front page just now. Not sure who you are, but you seem like an awesome guy lol. That is one nice looking guitar! And what a gesture, it being gifted to you! Love seeing guitars getting some TLC. Ashamed to say I've been neglecting mine for several years now, as life circumstances haven't had me feeling like playing... But, my brother stopped by and strummed on one of my acoustics today and somehow it still sounded in tune. Kind of fascinating. I am curious though, why did you sand the neck? Doesn't that rough up the finish? Is there some benefit to doing that? And... Did you wax it afterwards or have to treat it somehow? Seems like it would make it rough and a bit more difficult to glide your hand to different parts of the fretboard. So many questions! 😂
Ayyy man much love appreciate that haha. Well one reason I sanded the neck it has a lot stickers and gunk on it haha to it takes the glossy finish off and take it down to the smooth wood so your hand actually glides more. I just put some avocado on it and it’s nice and smooth 😄
Great work on that bass bro! Looks and sounds amazing! 🔥🎸🎶
Ayy appreciate that my dude 😄🙏🏽

Hey! I have the same bass in red. That’s a cross bow bass. It’s a 22 year old model. Great bass.

It hurt seeing that sticker on the neck
Hahaha tell me about it. It was pain getting it off 😆
