We have a CDR 2000 Model sheet dough roller that makes this awful loud squealing noise when it is turned on. Any suggestions on how to get it to stop!? I am going to tear it apart as shown in the video, and try to figure it out myself. But in case I cannot can you please post a video to show us how to fix this problem! Thank you in advance
how would i clean the machine with Detergent and Sanitizer to meet Federal inspection Standards. Also i don't have this machine i have a Rondo but I'm having a hard time finding info, thanks
Andres V Whenever cleaning equipment that is used to make or cook food you want to use a Food-Grade cleaner or Mineral Oil. There are several out there, just Google "Food Grade Cleaner". And Rondo units are similar to the Somersets, but not exactly the same. If you have a Model Number I would be happy to try to dig up some info for you!
That's a tough one without seeing it firsthand. From the sound of it, it sounds like something might be jammed up. Maybe a broken gear in the gearbox or bearing on the roller.
I have a Doyon Dough Sheeter DL12sp, The adjustment lever broke, I ordered the part. I cant figure out how to remove the old one, so I can replace it, it looks like it should be simple. Can you help.
+Cori Fulton I haven't worked on this particular model before, but Doyon is usually notorious for using set screws and roll pins. Check the lever to see if there is a tiny hole in the side. If there is see if there is a screw or pin inside. Did the new one come with a shaft on it or just a hollow hole? If it came with a shaft you'll most likely have to remove the housing. If not, there should be another way. Hope this helps a little! Thanks for watching!
Does anyone know why my cdr500F is making this very loud squeaking noise? They say it is maintenance free and needs no lubrication-but then why is it making this noise? I am so worried. Thanks in advance
Hi and thanks for this video, as I just picked up a used CDR-2000S (meaning, I think, that the rollers are silicone?). I am refurbishing as it is quite dirty. In the Somerset manual, it states to NOT use any water on the rollers, only a dry cloth, but that isn't going to work here. Can I use water and say Dawn to super clean all those parts and allow them to dry thoroughly before putting back into service? Also, how do you actually remove any of the rollers? I have all the access panels removed so everything is visible. Thanks again!
Good question. You cannot use water. Those rollers are nylon so water will absorb at a molecular level and cause distortion. If they are that bad, they have to be replaced. Hope this helps, although I'm sure it's not the answer you were hoping for. Thanks for watching!
