I'm so lucky to live in New Zealand where mackerel are bait, and rays and sharks are considered trash, except for mako in game fishing season. You have cod, coalfish, bass, turbot etc. We use kabura jigs here as well, for snapper, kahawai, kingfish, gurnard and trevally.
Thanks! They are good fun when they are on the feed. The conditions were a bit against us for bottom fishing though - a bit too much swell to present the baits properly. On a calmer day we would have seen a few more for sure!
Hello, this is a hard one to be honest, there is market there for a good rod we believe! - currently you really have to look for jig & pilk, Jigging or popping models of rods to suit a boat rod style rod ringing for fixed spools! Or if you can get away with light tackle then some shorter lure rods can suffice. What length of rod/style of fishing are you looking it too suit? We might have some recommendations
@@wildseasfishing looking at your sort of 12lb class stuff. I do have a Kenzaki 6-12fs which is lovely. Supple tip, rather than the stiffer tip of popping rods. But it'd be nice to have a bit more choice!
A good day on the water guys, thanks for sharing
Keep them coming, great vids, great banter, great catches.
More to come! Thanks for the feedback!
Awesome video lads! Beauty of a pollock near the end 💪

I struggle to find decent boat rods rung for fixed spools. Any recommendations?
