I have been feeling sorry for myself lately because I rarely see my family, and am mostly alone! This is a reminder of what one person, alone, is capable of! It is also a reminder that both my grandmother's lost their husbands early, had to run country properties, and also brought up their children and young adults alone - successfully! It's important to live each day, do something positive, and be the best you can be! 🤗😊👍
These ladies are what is a powerful example of overcoming life's difficulties. Not dealt easy hands but are very easily woman of the year candidates. Well done ladies. ❤️🙏🇨🇦
Sitting here in England I can only wonder at the strength of these ladies. They probably exist in all countries.. but Aussie ones do it at such extreme distances. Much much admiration and respect.
True blue Aussie battlers these ladies are the backbone of the outback their guts and determination is second to none. Keep on keeping ladies Australia is a magnificent place to live but it can be brutal being so far out in the bush because of the distance one needs to travel in case of emergency 10/10 for heart and determination. 💯💛💚
Interesing. We are conditioned to believe that people on the land are somehow disadvantaged and don't have many choices, but I found that once I moved out of the city and into a small community, wild horses would not drag me back to the city. As those ladies say - the feeling of freedom and community is what makes it all worthwhile.
Wonderful women, they make no fuss and keep on. My Mum was from the bush and had that same practical sense and kept going even when things got tough. Because of her , we three kids had a wonderful life. These women are truly inspiring.
I salute these gorgeous, courageous women. I was widowed at 57, after 40 years with my teenage sweetheart. I ran my own business, and continued to do so until I retired five years ago. It's very, very hard and no, you never get over it. But I was determined to build another life and I feel proud that I have done that. It's sink or swim, and these lovely women, like me, decided to swim. Thank you for such an uplifting piece. With love from the UK 🇬🇧
Absolutely loved this! At a time in my own life when I am trying to decide what's next in store for me - what I want, what I think I'm capable of.... this was a welcome bit of inspiration. Thank you!
Women are the stronger sex. In life and death. In all cultures. I live on the other side of the world (Sweden) but even here the force of women (40 years old and up) is formidable. When body and mind don't have youths strength or enthusiasm any longer, but ascends to something greater... We call it to be a "tant", kind of like an (old) lady, but a force of nature. I love all of you (us) "tanter", giving hope. Binding, weaving, keeping people, places and time together. Thank You for showing your unique and demanding kind of life in this video.
so interesting. years ago i hated the outback to the bone, just wanted to be in the city, now thinking about wanting a change, thinking about going outback, away from people.
Every task has to be looked as a challenge not impossible when the spirit of God is stirred in you . Children of war veterans tend to shine easier . Well done Ladies .
i wish people wouldn't say " lost" this infers carelessness My husband died suddenly at 59 from a major brain bleed but he was a donor so not all bad but I wasn't careless I didn't loose him. if we own up to death it makes it easier to cope and so I continued running the business until I retired 5 years ago
They're terrific, no doubt. It's not really new. In the American west, there were instances where husbands were killed tending livestock, cutting timber, whatever, and it fell to their widows to keep the family business running - at least until the children were grown. They made such an impression, that Wyoming was the first American state to give women the vote.....

To think, Murdoch, his commentators and sections of the Lib/Nat coalition want programmes like this, either closed down or defunded.
This is what family is all about and the land is your home...why leave it?

How true ' sorry for your loss ' the worse comment to make to someone who is grieving.

Yet another "women are great" story from the WABC.
An excellent resilient human being in the bush story.
One of the few times they leave the comments on. Cowardly sooks at the ABC.
❤
Amazing women doing what women do... cope.
👍
KINDLY let me whether or not you are selling?
All sold auctioned, best ones to the national park
