The Nebuta Festival is famous as one of the most famous festivals in Japan.
Neputa is often inspired by Japanese myths and samurai.
It is held every summer in Aomori Prefecture.
However, it was cancelled in 2020 due to the effects of the coronavirus.
The name of the festival changes slightly depending on the region in Aomori Prefecture, such as Nebuta or Neputa.
Typical examples are Aomori Nebuta in Aomori City, Hirosaki Neputa in Hirosaki City, and Tachi Neputa in Goshogawara City.
You can see Aomori Nebuta all year round in Walasse.
