Didn't we beat Penn State on a goal-line stand early in the series? I could swear we did - I think they took 4 straight shots from within a couple yards.
Keith Jackson showing his typical hatred of Michigan and Bo Schembechler in every game he called. He sounded like he was almost crying at the end. How that guy was able to call all those Wolverine games on the national level when he despised the team so much is beyond me.
40 years later, and I still can’t understand why Illinois would call a running play on that fourth-and-goal situation.
Good ol' Keith Jackson!

Tim Brewster to the 2!
I remember that I watched the game . Illinois could beat Michigan in few seconds ,but then failed to score in 4th down .

Michigan making a stop without relying on the other team to let the clock run down!
Oh well, Illinois still won the title for the ugliest uniforms in college football.
