Always great to hear Malcolm as he weaves an image, story, and quote into a Biblically grounded lesson. Love the ode of sorts to the very paradox at the heart of existence around 11 minutes in. The Blake quote on the particular and person contrasted to the universal (systematic, grand?) and abstract is incredibly on point too. It hits on human pride, but also the blinders of modernity and perhaps the grid thinking of Enlightenment. Malcolm's wonder, awe, and curiosity in the face of nature, reality, and the Cross is definitely something to behold. A helpful moral imaginary or heart lens as we face the struggles and even sometimes spiritual amnesia of the day to day (or what we at times take to be humdrum). Malcolm's insight is partially what a literary language brings to the text (for instance on the unity of fact and metaphor), but it's also what a heart passionate for Resurrection living and Resurrection life looks like. Malcolm certainly echos Lewis' love for language, literature, and our Lord. Thanks so much for this!!
