I own a Greater Swiss Mountainog, I love him so much. But they shed very much more then they tell you. They are more gardiant then u might think. Their bark is very heavy. They are NOT kennel dogs and want to be with u all the time. I should name dog "Shadow" instead of "Sven" as he follows me anywhere. Be prepared to vacuum the house 2 times a day as they shed a lot!!! There's not one portion off agression in these dogs, but they will bark untill somebody in whatever country across the Ocean will hear them. Its one bundle off love... BUT, U do need to be ready to train them from right early on. They hate screaming (who doesnt?) and u need to be firm. ALSO; the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, ASKA a Swissy, grows up late! They have puppy behaviour untill they are just about 5 years old. And they are big, very big, but with gentle hearts. Hope somebody reads this who thinks about getting this breed. Its great, but u need to be sure that u have all the time and knowledg before buying this breed.
Greater swiss mountain dogs are such beautiful great dogs
I always keep my Swissy on a leash. Mostly because I love him next to me

Very BEAUTIFUL
I have a fact that really 99% don’t know: In Switzerland, we only refer to a mix of Greater Swiss Mountain Dog and Bernese Mountain Dog as a 'Swissy'.
I can’t seem to find a local breeder…
You can tell this breed was used to help save the Rottweiler
misleading title
