The thing with Larratt is his masterful ability to adjust grip/leverage as the opponent takes a break until he's in an unbeatable position.

And he insists on the strap. It somehow gives him an advantage by either restricting his opponents wrist or bracing his own. He knows his wrist is his weak point so I suppose it makes sense.

@@rufussthubbins8891 Top guys are usually very good at adapting to their opponents and making adjustments accordingly. So relying on just one technique is not, IMO, the best bet. Take Larratt as an example, in one of their older training videos (the one filmed in Australia a few years back), he was obviously struggling against Lars' tricep press. But here, having become familiar with the move, he is able to handle it with ease and get the upper hand.

Most the body builders i know cant fight at all its the tall fit ones that usually fight the best... that being said if the big dude gets a hold of u ur probably gettin slammed and ground and pounded
@@kennanlynn4977 - The key is athleticism and size, not just size. If the 250+lb bodybuilder is athletic you’re in deep trouble unless you are an expert fighter and have at least enough relative mass to apply your techniques effectively.

He is on roids now i suppose. Its pretty hard to gain mass with age. After age 35 muscles are getting smaller by a man if you dont train. Becoming even bigger is very suspecious.

Since last year he decided to gain weight again because he needs more strength. He also mentioned gunning for the world title again. Maybe not 300 but... he will definitely be BEEFY before the Todd match - he is leaned out a bit here because he has so much time left before the match. Can't hit the PEDs full force year round - have to take breaks or kick the bucket.

@@anthonyw9129 Devon wouldn't be idle in a real match. This is basicly practice, to help others. I'm from Norway btw, and don't mind Lars getting up there in Armwrestling. Winning over mr. Larrat is however a difficult feat to achieve!

Are you sure that you watched the video? Three rounds, Devon controling during the first two easy. Last round he couldn't stop the press, but... Devon even tried to attack. He allways try to hold rivals hand in all those "traiming" matches. Lars is very strong it's not strange he could beat a off season Devon just holding. And only in one of the three rounds. Just look at Lars' wrist in the two first rounds... No way.
In a real match this is 3-0/5-0 for sure.
