Henry was born in Canada, but has spent a lot of time in South Korea and China. He was a member of the Korean boyband Super Junior-M and is now a solo artist.
He does not only play the piano and the violin, but also other string instruments and the drums. As you could already see, Henry is very talented. He's also an actor and he can dance too. His dance style is called boogaloo popping. You can watch some of his dancing skills on YT that he showed on "Street Dance of China".
There is actually another Faded cover by him without guitar. It was at a concert with dancers and other violin players: ua-cam.com/video/iVOH8tZZhws/v-deo.html I was undecided which version to request, but the "Begin Again Korea" version is more emotional and intimate, so I went for that one.
"Begin Again" is a TV series. Musicians from South Korea travel overseas to places where they are unknown. But this performance was from season 4 which was different. The cast members travelled around South Korea to conduct Social Distancing Busking. The main purpose was to present music as a gift, to console the Korean citizens who have gone through difficult times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The amazing Sohyang was also part of this series and you could see her in this video in one of the cars.

Not only is Henry talented musically but he is also incredible humble and hilarious! Nicknamed the variety king! I recommend the interview he did with Korean Englishman! Henry also has a UA-cam channel you can check out. With two series, Henry Together where he brings child prodigy musicians to collab, teaching them to have confidence performing and freestyling. Another is Off work with Henry which is a carpool karaoke style where he collab and sing with famous singers in his car!

Henry is awesome. You should check out some of his Loop Station performances. He's like a one-man band. It's not fair that some people have so much talent.
I would said Henry is a music genius, he is so talented.
Henry is a member of the legendary Kpop boy group Super Junior-M, as well as a solo artist. He is considered a music genius. He was classically trained in violin and piano since the age of 6, and he had plans to go to college to study classical music. But the year he graduated high school, he auditioned for the largest and most well-known Korean entertainment company, SM Entertainment, when they held auditions in Canada, and he impressed them so much with his violin dance routine that they signed him right away. (After joining SM and debuting with SJM, he did end up going to college. He got a full-ride scholarship to Berklee School of Music in New York and he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in music.)
He was one of the Kpop industry's very first foreign/non-Korean artists, and he only trained for about a year before he debuted in Super Junior -- and that was only because he needed to learn Korean and become more proficient in Mandarin. He debuted in Korea in 2008, so he has been a famous musician, artist, entertainer, producer, actor, model, etc. for more than 16 years now.
Henry now owns his own independent music production company -- Monster Entertainment Group -- so he does all the recording, remastering, arranging and production himself. Everything you see and hear is 100% Henry.
He is Chinese/Taiwanese-Canadian -- his dad is from Hong Kong, his mom is from Taiwan and he was born and raised in Canada -- and he can play almost any instrument. He really is a music genius.
Henry speaks 4 languages fluently -- English, Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese -- and he speaks numerous other languages moderately well. He works really hard to speak to fans in their native language, so he has learned a lot of languages over the past 16 years.
Super Junior-M was the Mandarin Chinese sub-unit of Super Junior, which created songs in Mandarin and promoted in China. This group was one of the very first Kpop groups, made up of both Korean and Chinese members, to become famous in China. Which is one reason why Henry is such a big deal internationally because he is a world-famous artist who has learned to meld many different cultures together, endearing himself to people around the world.
This was a special performance of Allen Walker's "Faded," which he created for the Korean TV show Begin Again. The guitar player is a famous solo singer and musician named JukeJae, he is known for his impressive guitar playing, and he is a friend of Henry, as well as a cast member on Begin Again.
If you want to see more of Henry live, you should check out more of his performances from Begin Again, which featured singer/songwriter Kpop artists who teamed up to form a group and they spent several weeks busking all over Europe and Korea. In Begin Again, not only does the group sing the songs live, but several of the members are also musicians so they perform the music live as well. In Begin Again you will see Suhyun from the Kpop duo AKMU perform with Henry and several other famous Kpop solo musicians and singers as part of a group called The Family Band. This group was so popular that The Family Band actually did 2 seasons of the show. And the best part, in the first 2 seasons they busked on the streets all across Ireland, England, Switzerland, Portugal and Hungary, etc., so the people they performed for don't speak Korean, but they always fall in love with The Family Band's performances. And, as you just saw, Suhyun and Henry also participated in a third season in 2021 when they traveled around Korea to perform with some of their Family Band members, as well as other well-known Kpop musicians and artists. This show showcases real life busking performances with some of the best musicians and singers in the Kpop industry.

The reason why the audience was in cars was because this was the peak of the pandemic, and because of social distancing, the show had to get creative with their concerts. This episode was sponsored by a luxury car company, so each family who attended the concert got their own car to sit in to watch the concert, kind of like box seats at a concert hall. The group they kept showing hanging out of the car windows, was the other cast members of Begin Again. Because they weren't performing, they decided to sit in the audience to watch Henry and JukJae's performance. This wasn't a parking lot, but a special venue location chosen for this TV show.
Henry debuted as a solo artist in 2013 while under SM Entertainment and, even before becoming a solo artist, he gained a reputation for being an accomplished music producer. He has written, composed and produced all his own solo work, as well as numerous songs for other artists, including several Super Junior songs, songs for other Kpop groups and artists, such as EXO's "The Eve," and Korean- and Chinese-drama and movie OSTs, etc.
His most recent original songs "Summer Sky," "Real Love Still Exists" and "Moonlight" came out last year. Also listen to his song "Radio" from his album Journey, which came out in 2020. He has a Korean version, Mandarin version and an English version of "Radio." But what you really need to see is a live performance of "Radio." Not only is he a musician, but he is a true performer, so all his live performances are designed to engage and entertain the audiences, and he never performs a song the same way twice. "Monster," which is one of my favorite songs from 2018, was his last solo song release under SM. He has an English version of "Monster" MV, a Chinese "Monster" MV and a Korean audio only version of "Monster."
Now as an independent solo artist -- after leaving SM in 2018 -- Henry has launched his own UA-cam Channel and he releases regular content and has become one of the most popular Kpop artists on UA-cam.
To really see his musical genius, watch the UA-cam show that Henry produces called Henry Together where he invited child prodigy musicians and dancers on his show to showcase their talent and to mentor them. On his show he spotlights amazing young artists while creating really cool collaboration performances on the spot with these children. He is a big inspiration to many people and lots of artists and musicians look up to him.
He is currently 34, and he is the youngest member of Super Junior -- he debuted when he was 18 years old. And, not only is he a musician, but he is also known as a really good dancer and for the fact that he can dance while singing and playing the violin all at the same time. He is one of the first and only musicians to combine choreography while playing the violin. In high school he was the leader of the dance club and the orchestra, which is where he got the idea to combine his two passions. Henry's main dance style is popping and locking.
Henry's fans are called Strings because of his classical music background and his UA-cam channel followers are Henemies (sp.?).
He even broke into the U.S. entertainment industry in 2019 with the starring role in the Hollywood movie "A Dog's Journey" alongside famous American actors, such as Dennis Quaid.
And he also has starred in several Korean, Chinese and Taiwanese TV shows and movies.
On top of all that, he is also a trained chef and can cook as well as a professional. He starred in the Taiwanese movie Final Recipe, where he played a culinary prodigy. The producer wanted him to look as authentic as possible, so Henry spent 3 months training under a famous chef and learned a lot of amazing cooking techniques. He has participated in numerous cooking competitions and cooking based variety shows -- including Master Chef Korea -- and his skill has impressed even professional cooks. He often cooks on variety shows for the cast and crew to show off his hidden cooking skills. He also owns an authentic Chinese restaurant in Korea.
And if that's not enough, he is also a brand ambassador model for big name companies like Bose, Porsche, Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, etc.
