Very nice nature, indeed. So I had a look at a map where this place is and it's just outside of LA. And nearby is a municipality (or part of) called Ontario. I live in the province of Ontario. So how do you like the 310GS now? The shot of the front suspension getting its intense workout was interesting. I watched some videos about bike suspension and they mentioned that the suspension heats up as it works intensely and that affects the oil inside and how the suspension behaves. If the oil gets too hot, the suspension can lose its effectiveness. So apparently for heavy duty use a good quality suspension can be a worthwhile upgrade. BTW, there is this new-ish bike Honda Trail 125 that would be a hoot to ride on that trail, at least for me. Cheers, Michael
Thanks Michael. I love the bike for what it can do. I only wish it had 10 more horsepower for the highway. I just have to take it slow and easy. More time to enjoy the view hehe
I have a Michelin Anakee Wild Front and Motoz RallZ on the rear. The Michelin Anakee was changed out at 5k miles. The front still has tread left so I wanted to try a different rear.
Think I just found my new fav channel, got a 310gs too and a 150 series toyota prado which is pretty similar to the fj. I'm in Australia so if you ever venture down here for an adventure hit me up👍
I believe I changed them after 3 years. Yes the stock handles well, just too soft if you want to go at a faster pace. Most of my older videos are on stock suspension. The new suspension is springed to my 200 pound weight and improved on road performance too.
Can't believe you have this beautiful trail in your backyard. I'm jealous!
Those are some serious ruts! Nice job navigating them.
Thank you. Yes the ruts will only get worse after the rain here.
Bike is looking good Scotty. First time I've seen it clean, without all the bags. Looks like a really fun trail too. BIG ruts! Beautiful views.
thank you! After all this rain I need to join you for a ride.
@@ScottyADV As long as it's NOT the CABDR Sections 1 & 2. 🤣
@OCLandspeeder but I seen your recent sand video...you can handle it 😉
Great camera angles to show the terrain. Nice picking your line.
Thank you!

Admirable skills navigating those ruts. What tyres do you have? They seem to have good grip and control lateral sliding.

Thanks man, it's a bucket list item for me to visit the land down under!
Good ride. What’s the approximate distance of that trail?
Its about 9 to 10 miles so not bad. Its a good warm up to connect to the other trails in the area.
At what point did you decide to change the forks and would the stock still hold up to everything you've ridden to date if you kept them?.....thanks

@@ScottyADVCool keep it up. Your videos are inspiring, especially the ones where it involves distance and camping.
