Brandon Reck Is this a continuation from another game? I want to buy it but I’m not sure if they have another I have to play to fully understand this one.
Based off their previous games, I'd be willing to bet it'll look and play just like that. I could be totally wrong, but with the pedigree of this studio, it'll probably play this way.
It will almost certainly look and play like that. My issue isn't either of those things, because quantic dream generally nails those two, I'm worried about the amount your choices will matter and the overall plot, both of which were kinda iffy in the last one.
ik most ppl are like "its barely a game" like they close minded. I will say its not as many controls like shooting or hiding, but rlly shows ur character and the choices, ive never been more stressed because a game in my LIFE. Not to mention how i literally would feel so sad if i ever killed one of them, you dont get that type of close connection in other games

I just finished the game and here I am watching all the trailers lol. I wish I could forget about the game entirely just so that I could replay it again without remembering what happens with the choices I made. This game is truly spectacular, and this is coming from someone who doesn't really find the fun in choice based games and QTEs. Highly recommend for those who haven't played it yet.
I had been abused in a similar way. Sometimes even way worse. As a survivor I applaud them to bring these issues into the light. And people who are actually suffering abuse understand that there is always a way out. Back in my day there was no way out. You had to put up with these things cause you didn't have anywhere to go. And to the people on Twitter this has a mature rating children won't be playing this instead of call of duty. People who grow up in abuse free household could finally understand even if it's the slightest 10 min play through that what we went through was daily and real.

Not rape I dealt with abuse till 25 and even now. After 20+ he knew he couldn't touch me anymore cause he was getting old and I was getting strong. But, now he mentally tortures me I am trying my best to get my mom away from him. And no It's not rape but, beat up until my arm blue.

Actually, Movies and TV don't typically show what's shown here. Even when they do cover this kind of topic, they actually cut way away from the scene (you don't even hear the child screaming) or they age up the actors a lot (like the Hunger Games). Either way. The movies that pull this usually get an instant R rating minimum or have to work the MPAA over a LOT to keep their PG-13. Child murder is actually still VERY taboo on western video media.
That is a fair point. In video games like this however, censoring it will impede this media's way on relaying that story to you since you have to be present in that moment to make a decision. However, your point still does stand.

It's child victims, I personally think this game shows how horrifying that family violence can be, I think it could be a great learning experience. But I'm saying that from a perspective of someone who had a great childhood. I sympathise with the childhood abuse victims in their perception of the game, I don't want to belittle their pain; but I think this game looks very much anti-abuse and is trying to break the silence, not shame victims. We have to be kind to the people who are afraid of this game, but also try to explain that it's not gloryfying child abuse.

i played the latest telltale games and the choices still don't matter. 90% of the time , the same thing happens no matter what choice u make. Same goes for life is strange as well.
Went through intense child abuse for 13 years. It's done and I'm sort of free just dealing with the mental part. This game looks amazing. As a person who went through that you feel an overwhelming connection and need to protect that child by all cost.
The game says that Kara had been bought and swapped hands by many people before finally ending up with Todd. It also said that Kara whispered her name to Alice, so I think that Kara is the same one from the 2012 demo. I also believe that she may have been the one where deviancy originated from. She was deviant when she was constructed and let into the world. Kemski said that it spreads like a dormant virus and that when androids meet each other they transfer data, the virus too. It is possible that Kara gave the code for deviancy, by accident, to many other androids which in turn spread it to other androids and so on. Nobody noticed any of this until traumatic experiences awoke the dormant virus in androids. That’s when they started to act deviant. I think it’s cool how all the production around the game started with Kara and that all the events happening in the game are because of Kara’s creation.
That's not correct. The Kara from the demo was just a concept. They've officially stated that video is not cannon. I thought the game clued pretty well that Kamski intentionally introduced the RA9 virus into the Androids, essentially making him RA9.
LiangHuBBB It has like nine alternate paths. This kept me replaying. I got three out of eight or nine of them before I got tired of playing the demo. Just want the game.

How are some offended by this? I do not understand. This is just a video game, however, this is a very powerful and emotional topic (child abuse) which the game covers and I are pretty sure the game has other topics as well, however, isn't that what makes a game good when you have a connection with it? This is honestly is just about androids becoming sentient and you the android have choices to make which makes different outcomes. This game looks absolutely fantastic and I can't wait to play it. I was a victim of child abuse for 14 years and am now 21 and happy if you want to truly help victims of child abuse stop writing a comment on how this video offended you and write to your local leaders or get involved with the community.

I don't understand why these journalists like to speak for everyone. I find this very empowering. The statement that this will cause victims to be violent is not true. The only reason why these victims would be violent is in self defense. Here's a tip, don't speak for us, we seem pretty content with this. If the game developers take this out I'd be very disappointed because I find this extremely therapeutic and could help me cope with my trauma. This will be the reason why I buy a PlayStation 4. Thank you for making such a game.
Journalists get paid to stir up controversy that shouldn't necessarily even be brought up. Some people are savvy to not be triggered while so many more let the media dictate their stance on a topic i.e. sheepish people.

Some people don't understand what it means to play a game.. These days, games aren't simply about killing or being killed, they're about conveying a message intended by an artist or writer. Someone said domestic violence isn't a game. That person had no idea under what context that this was being said. I understand from personal experience, there's no right way to approach the topic of domestic violence. Someone's always going to get hurt and screwed over.
Greg Green honestly I beat it in two days because I played non stop (with bathroom and food breaks)and then I played it a couple days on and off to see what the other endings were. Also depending on what you choose it could be longer/shorter. It’s definitely worth it.

Cause all I saw was Kara trying to help Alice with a whole bunch of choices. I swear people just do not use their eyes sometimes. ZeroDawnGaming I didn’t even play Heavy Rain and Beyond, and still tasted the sourness from those games’ awful storylines. All David Cage games are beautiful but have no depth to them.
Bowser I agree, Heavy Rain wasn't even that deep, besides the twist where Scott was the killer. But in Beyond: Two Souls, I've felt depth. Not really in the story, or gameplay but more with Aiden and Jodie's relationship and how they got tied together. But Detroi: Become Human looks very promising. Saw a 15 minute video with a few clips of the game and felt very emotional in those 15 minutes. David really has improved, I can say that much.
I don't know about you, but this was a truly fantastic trailer. You have to make the choice, and you have to make the best outcome. It's like they're asking you, "What would you do...?" Child abuse is real, and if others just complain about it and sweep it under the rug, the problem doesn't get resolved. If it doesn't get exposed, realized, nor talked about, then nobody will stand up against it.
I believe that the heart of the problem is that too many people do not like to see or be reminded of something so unpleasant that it shakes them to a point that makes them unhappy. So they tend to get upset because they don't want to have to know that these things happen and that this sort of thing is unfortunately reality. Which is bad as we should be trying to reduce the number of these things from happening to people even if we cannot ever truly stop it permanently. As every life spared of these things counts especially if it's just one. (Not trying to push anybodies buttons in case anyone finds my opinion offensive. Feel free to believe what you want)

Most of the dumbasses critiscising this game are not gamers. Or developers for that matter. As such they are unwilling to examine gaming as the rich storytelling medium that it is. You really think so? I've seen disturbing, upsetting, heartbreaking events in movies, books, and games--some that have even made me emotional, but they've never kept me up at night. I just can't imagine being so sensitive over a work of fiction that I couldn't sleep. Maybe I'm just too desensitized. Now maybe if it was a real child, a sister, a daughter, a niece, that would be an entirely different story.

I find this stupid too. Even if some chapters of D:BH are shown in trailer, they only show situations and results, they don't show the whole walkthrough of what exactly you need to do to get a particular ending for the chapter.
Same happened with the last trailer. Everybody was like "oh, now I don't need to play the game anymore". But how else would you show off a game like this, where there are tons of story paths to follow? Only showing us one path would be boring.
They better not take this out of the game because of a few people who are just afraid to experience a game that takes storytelling to different level altogether. The game says that Kara had been bought and swapped hands by many people before finally ending up with Todd. It also said that Kara whispered her name to Alice, so I think that Kara is the same one from the 2012 demo. I also believe that she may have been the one where deviancy originated from. She was deviant when she was constructed and let into the world. Kemski said that it spreads like a dormant virus and that when androids meet each other they transfer data, the virus too. It is possible that Kara gave the code for deviancy, by accident, to many other androids which in turn spread it to other androids and so on. Nobody noticed any of this until traumatic experiences awoke the dormant virus in androids. That’s when they started to act deviant. I think it’s cool how all the production around the game started with Kara and that all the events happening in the game are because of Kara’s creation.

That's not correct. The Kara from the demo was just a concept. They've officially stated that video is not cannon. I thought the game clued pretty well that Kamski intentionally introduced the RA9 virus into the Androids, essentially making him RA9.

How are some offended by this? I do not understand. This is just a video game, however, this is a very powerful and emotional topic (child abuse) which the game covers and I are pretty sure the game has other topics as well, however, isn't that what makes a game good when you have a connection with it? This is honestly is just about androids becoming sentient and you the android have choices to make which makes different outcomes. This game looks absolutely fantastic and I can't wait to play it. I was a victim of child abuse for 14 years and am now 21 and happy if you want to truly help victims of child abuse stop writing a comment on how this video offended you and write to your local leaders or get involved with the community.

I don't understand why these journalists like to speak for everyone. I find this very empowering. The statement that this will cause victims to be violent is not true. The only reason why these victims would be violent is in self defense. Here's a tip, don't speak for us, we seem pretty content with this. If the game developers take this out I'd be very disappointed because I find this extremely therapeutic and could help me cope with my trauma. This will be the reason why I buy a PlayStation 4. Thank you for making such a game.

Greg Green honestly I beat it in two days because I played non stop (with bathroom and food breaks)and then I played it a couple days on and off to see what the other endings were. Also depending on what you choose it could be longer/shorter. It’s definitely worth it.

I didn’t even play Heavy Rain and Beyond, and still tasted the sourness from those games’ awful storylines. All David Cage games are beautiful but have no depth to them.
Bowser I agree, Heavy Rain wasn't even that deep, besides the twist where Scott was the killer. But in Beyond: Two Souls, I've felt depth. Not really in the story, or gameplay but more with Aiden and Jodie's relationship and how they got tied together. But Detroi: Become Human looks very promising. Saw a 15 minute video with a few clips of the game and felt very emotional in those 15 minutes. David really has improved, I can say that much.
ZeroDawnGaming he also didnt write this one on his own, loved both the games. Beyond more for Ellen page tho, her performance was amazing.
I don't know about you, but this was a truly fantastic trailer. You have to make the choice, and you have to make the best outcome. It's like they're asking you, "What would you do...?"
Child abuse is real, and if others just complain about it and sweep it under the rug, the problem doesn't get resolved. If it doesn't get exposed, realized, nor talked about, then nobody will stand up against it.

I believe that the heart of the problem is that too many people do not like to see or be reminded of something so unpleasant that it shakes them to a point that makes them unhappy. So they tend to get upset because they don't want to have to know that these things happen and that this sort of thing is unfortunately reality. Which is bad as we should be trying to reduce the number of these things from happening to people even if we cannot ever truly stop it permanently. As every life spared of these things counts especially if it's just one.
(Not trying to push anybodies buttons in case anyone finds my opinion offensive. Feel free to believe what you want)

And if someone has ptsd over something like this they definetely do not have to play the game. No one is forced to do anything they do not like or feel comfortable with. Also the mission in this is to AVOID the bad outcome and to try to save the child.
Most of the dumbasses critiscising this game are not gamers. Or developers for that matter. As such they are unwilling to examine gaming as the rich storytelling medium that it is. To suggest they are making money off depicting child abuse like the daily mail did is ridiculous. These developers are willing to challenge and explore tough social issues.

I find this stupid too. Even if some chapters of D:BH are shown in trailer, they only show situations and results, they don't show the whole walkthrough of what exactly you need to do to get a particular ending for the chapter.

They are not commending child abuse at all, it's just stupid how people are taking this scene. Most of all, kids are not going to be playing this game. Number one, it will have a mature/pegi 18 rating. Number 2, I don't think any kid is going to be interested in this game anyway.
