For my life, i interpret the song as my own negative side will take me down 'to hell' if i'm not willing to fight, to know my own worth. If i'm not going to fight for myself, then it'll take me down and ruin my life if i don't want for it. If i want to go to the 'dark' side, it may give me chills up & down my spine as I self indulge in self destruction, but it won't end pretty. I then interpret, for my life, their 'Back in Black" song as the return anthem, when you've learned your lessons, learned your worth, have learned to fight for what you want in life, have cut yourself out of the noose, and are 'back in black...glad to be back..footloose, cut the noose.. so get out of my way cuz i'm back". Honestly I think their earlier live stuff has a lot more energy, by 2009 they are all at least in their mid 50's and have clearly slowed down.
