I bet that was an amazing home in it's day.You can almost hear the laughter and energy of children running about the house creating all kinds of mischief. Living, cooking, working and enjoying the rural life together. Waking to the sweet perfume of trees growing in the area...I love these videos, and just trying to imagine the stories the walls could tell.Thank you Indigo for the memories.
It would have been a great place to grow up, really large yard with all the trees around it. The walls could tells us so much and only if we could get them to talk Fatiha we would be enlightened no doubt. Cheers for watching :-)
That piano was such a surprise....never expected that one! The even bigger surprise was you playing it! Love the shrub growing inside, people pay to have that these days, lol. Waiting for the next urban adventure....😊😊
Hey Pammi the piano was a pleasant surprise for me too! :-) very nice to see nature creeping into the home and giving it that natural feel of natural decay. No vandalism either. I have many more of these old farm type ones! :-)
Hey Explomo lads! :-) I knew I would eventually find one! haha. Yeah I had just watched that guy in video and remembered him talkin piano so I brought him into the explore! Cheers for watching! :-)
Great to hear you had a happy home Penolope! :-) This home would have seen some happy days with the large tree surronded yard and the piano being played on the porch in Summer :-) cheers for watching :-)
Piano didn't sound too bad for sitting in the air! Front of the house was more inviting than the back. Could still be a comfy home - just needs some maintenance and some tender loving care. Thanks for sharing!
Yep Donelle with some love and clean up can be a home again but not many people move out in the country these days.......unless they build from scratch. Piano I would love to keep! :-) Cheers for watching
My pleasure Charlotte, I tried to remember some sort of tune so im glad the piano was still in decent tune lol. Glad you enjoyed, cheers for watching :-)
That house is like the TARDIS, bigger on the inside. On the money with the time period and reasoning. Love the meshing of the piano playing psychopath incorporated. Serial killer???
It was way bigger inside i agree! I though it was almost a hut haha. Yes that is my new psycho mate the piano man! lol "Play the piano for people" :-) Cheers for watching Gene :-)
Was pleasantly surprised with the inside of the cabin!!! Reminds me of the cabins I rent when I go off fishing, just enough amenities for a couple of guys for a weekend! Nature sure follows you everywhere LOL Thanx
Yep had that cabin style green peeling paint job! That what made me think of a army hutt haha. The birds were very much interested again on this one Gerald :-0 Cheers for watching :-)
I'm surprised the piano worked!!! Evasive vines! What a huge kitchen!! The rounded shelves give it away to at least the 30's. Major termite damage going on there.
I was surprised to even find a piano! lol Glad it worked too. Yeah I got the 30`s feel and had seen that woodwork in even earlier homes too! Thanks for watching :-)
Enjoyed the video & got a laugh out of your joking about the birds. I worry about them attacking me too & even just fluttering around nervously, thinking I am a danger to them, then perhaps, accidentally taking a nick or two out of me with their beaks & claws as they make a hasty exit. Lol. I certainly look forward to more videos, thanks for exploring & sharing!!
Haha the birds have been very active of late. I know they are just being polite in saying do not hurt our nests but I guess like magpies they might peck ya head too! The next video is the home next door to this one and there were birds inside too! :-) Thanks for watching Bre :-)
Wish I could play piano . It always good to listen to people that plays piano so perfect . Thank you for the post . The house looks also beautiful once upon a time.
I learned from just tinkering around on a keyboard, not very good but can tickle a few little tunes out haha. Glad you enjoyed, I agree this hose was a very good place for a family to live, huge yard in a nice country area. Cheers for watching :-)
I like the layout of this little house- it would have been cute as a newer and fixed up little place. I love that you have so may places in the bush, or country. I am about ready to move there, lol
What a nice find love the way the vines came in the window and with a little hard work it could be restored but I think it is from the 1920 to the 1960.
It is hard to really date this place because it has clearly been a few renovations, but I’m thinking the structure itself could even have been the first or second decade of the 1900s. Lots of good size rooms, set up for optimum air flow. High ceilings to give the heat a place to go. The wood clapboard construction is classic, and really holding up well. I would have loved to see the original kitchen stove/cooker. Many of these just need the care and attention of a new owner to bring them back to their original beauty. I’m surprised fewer people give thought to that as a living alternative since most new homes and condos are rather soulless. Your indefatigable and observant eye for these finds give us viewers much to appreciate. Your editing is almost unnoticed through your careful consideration. It is always like being there with you...thanks.🖤🇨🇦
Hey Tamarra i`m glad that the videos give the real time feel of the explore, I like trying to preserve that even if I do create an intro or outro I do like to leave the explore as it unfolded for me. :-) Yep a few little add ons here but it is quite old and now id say even perhaps 1920 with that would and doors maybe earlier. The birds were very interested in this one too! Cheers for watching :-)
Urbex Indigo The fact that you do not generally edit the exploration itself is one of the most delightful qualities about your work. Along with the way you talk to us rather than at us enables the sense of discovering it all with you. While it is clear that you don’t set up your shots, you still manage to make excellent use of light and contrast, and you also give us time to see what you are looking at...which I quite appreciate. Your obvious enjoyment of the architectural details is infectious, especially to one like myself who has a deep interest in period styling and building techniques. I have lived and travelled in a number of places and countries, and I find the Australian style is markedly different from what I have seen anywhere else. It is uncommon in the older homes to find a second floor, except in the urban areas, and even there it seems rare. Basements are also in very short supply, and the interiors are frequently much more spacious than the outside view would suggest. I did notice the bird activity, which makes sense as the house would provide safe nesting areas from most wildlife, and in some cases a pretty reliable source of spiders and the like for eating...a regular avian paradise. Thank you for providing your unique and easy style for our enjoyment. I love the little musical additions to your intro and closing...they really set the mood.🖤🇨🇦
Hey Tamara that was enjoyable to read and thanks for giving that detail. I`m glad it comes across that way as I do enjoy and am conscious that you guys will be taking the ride with me through these homes so good capture of the scenery is important and a good light on the camera :-) You are very correct about lack of two story homes and basements in Australian homes. The old homes had small cellar type rooms for food storage but never really had full blown basements. I gradually started appreciated the build structures the more explores I did, comparing every house I found and drawing correlations. Glad you enjoying Tamarra, I have some really cool ones to upload still! :-)
Absolutely beautiful home. I"d also guess 20's-30's. Too bad they're just left to rot. I like the window that was reclaimed by nature. Good video....thank you.
Yep found a fair few like this and the farmers I did speak to all say the same thing regarding maintaining them just aint worth what the get back in rent as they have to make them cheap rent for people to even consider moving out to the country. Cheers for watching TPR :-)
This house had a good vibe to it, kind of a feeling that is was and still could be a happy place. The piano was way cool, the concert even better. Thanks for a fun video.
Hey Sedora I agree that this home and the whole property is a great spot and just needs a good clean up! And the piano in action a lot more! haha Cheers for watching :-)
The woodwark inside and the door handles make it no later than early 30`s I think Bayla and maybe as early as 1900....But the shape of the house seems bit later....The birds were really active in this video singing and swooping haha :-)
Yay the first piano! :D It looks like the last lot of renters left a lot of their stuff before they left. It is a shame that the renters don't take care of the place.
Yep and most of the farmers I have spoken too say exactly the same thing, the repairs and maintenance get too much so they just leave the sit there. More strict conditions for landlords came in too. Cheers for watching CrazyCatLadyAU :-)
Sad about the piano left behind. Thinking someone had plans to move it but weren't able to move the weight of it. Cute little house though. Thanks for sharing....like the "piano guy" :)
Hey Joni cheers for watching, glad you enjoyed. Yeah not the easiest things to move or relocate! I will have it gladly though! :-) Or the piano guy can have it haha
Hi Joni you're right these old upright pianos weigh a ton ## i move my Joannas around on a special four wheeler trolley all though all pianos have caster wheels which are more or less useless on carpet....that piano outside there is a very good well made Weissbrod .. made in Germany around the 1930s seeya Joni....Ed
This vlog is a gem to find and a piano no wonder you wanted to get up there and tickle those ivories. I like the magpies in the background. I like this place kinda reminds me of my own home has that 1920s vibe. Thank you for caring about the bird too. Great explore tyvm
Yep watched heaps of other explorers find pianos so I made sure it tried it out! hahaha. I agree could even be 20`s or earlier witht the woodwork and doors. Always ready to help animals when and where ever I can! :-) Cheers for watching Wendy
Your piano editing is hilarious, I can't believe that's your first one with all of the places you have explored!! That's pretty awesome! Such a plain little farm house, but could made really nice if someone had the time, money and know-how! It's a shame renters do such things, I've never understood it. Whenever I rented a place I took care of it as if it were my own because while I was living there, IT WAS! I guess not everyone has that mentality! Common sense doesn't grow in everyone's garden! LOL...thanks for the share, very neat little place! xo
"Play piano for people".................. :-) Yes the unfortunate thing with the cheap rent is that i drew less "desirable" tenants out to live in these country homes. Cheers for watching Steph. I might throw in some mystery characters in videos to see if you guys pick them out........... haha :-)
Old abandoned piano, house with tongue and groove panelling, broken windows, birds in and out, messing on the kitchen furniture, Old chairs, old double mattress with patterned cover
Well just watching o my word old piano just left to rot it still plays well please take it to anyplace that would make all happy trees growing through.windows this place is bloody hughe it makes me so angry.im.from rotherham england we pay alot for our houses not half the size of youres here in this video they had all omg they.dont.deserve this bloody.hell its shsmeful sre bless ya worrying.ebout birds you have got.a good heart bless you thankyou for sharing this are man.in background with piano well we can.all do that anyway be proud of what you do bless ya
Hey Lisa! :-) Yes and it would make you more angry if you knew just how many houses like this sit out in huge open spaces abandoned for the same reasons. So much space out in the country but the cities grow bigger and bigger......Yes I hate to think that a bird is trapped so I`m always prepared to help any animals if necessary. Cheers for watching, glad you enjoyed :-)
Hi Urbex Indigo. I revisited this house because I liked the piano, had one similar when I was a kid. I appreciated the explanation on how these houses end up abandoned. Seemed larger on the inside that it looked on outside, kind of rambled. I liked it a lot.
Hi Laura, iv finally got some time to get back to the comments! :-) Glad you revisited this one and I totally agree with the layout being bigger than expected. Basic design but still very accommodating. The piano could probably be saved and cleaned up! The explanation is due to hearing the same thing from the farmers I have spoken to, they all sat the maintenance just aint worth the trouble to have idiots in there ruin it again and the fact the homes are naturally old and breaching certain rental standards. Glad you connected with this one and like it, thanks for watching :-)
Its when abandoned houses owned by people come to light , that a tinge of curiosity added with a dash of pain crosses my heart. Questions ! What happened? I find myself exploring along with you, thumbs up to your art of editing, etc. The birds reaction normally shows that there is a nest inside and they are protecting it. I had my head pecked off by an angry bird in Africa. That was the first time I realized the effect of goose pimples , in this case a reaction in fright I guess. Not scaring anyone but just bringing to light different modes of bird behavior. All the best for newer videos.
Hey Moos Moos! Cheers for watching, i`m glad you find all the questions watching these videos as that is one of the main reason to go out and find these places, to piece together the whens and why`s. The birds did probably have a nest somewhere and im glad they were not too aggressive but there were very active haha. Sorry to hear you had an angry bird attack you!!!!! Cheers from Australia :-)
Nice bungalow and yes bigger inside than out I thought you were going to give us a song a long with the piano I think you are right with the dates but the pink bathroom I would say 70's thanks for sharing take care xx
Weissbrod German made piano, probably made before the war or between the wars. Plays incredibly well for sitting outside of a collapsing house! Too bad that fine musical instrument has to spend its last days attached to a dump. Too bad a local antique dealer can’t rescue it, it seems salvageable. Before internet or tv, most homes had pianos. That was the entertainment. So many of the fine old specimens have been lost, that’s why it almost hurts to see this. Thanks for uploading this great video and nice piano mood music.
Hey typing dude I probably could find the owner and see if they want to get rid of the piano :-0 Indeed it would be a shame to see it rot away.....Cheers for watching :-)
Oh boy a nice treat on a Tuesday. So glad you found a piano (and a professional player at that :)). That ground cover is just taking over isn’t it. I think built from 1900’s to 1940’s. My parents have a cabin like that about 75 miles out of L.A. it’s got the same doors and kitchen and bathroom faucets. Those places last forever if taken care of. Renters a shame.
Hey Nancy thanks for watching :-0 Na just amateur tinkering on the piano! I agree with anywhere between 1900-1940 too the wood interior looks older than the exterior design. Yeah the renters have not taken care at all.
@@urbexindigo5164 Of course! I've always liked urbex videos. I find the history behind these locations fascinating; What the buildings used to be, what they were used for, how they got to be in their present state. I know of an old 19th century mental asylum a lot of local urbex people like to visit, but you'd need a respirator for some of the corridors. The walls have deteriorated in several parts and unfortunately they were lined with Asbestos. I believe the paint they used on the walls was also lead-based. Still, it would be awesome to get in there sometime. The asylum is a bit of an interesting situation- Parts of it have been restored and there are several shops and even a restaurant in the building. There is a wing that is bricked off currently, and the lower levels are also restricted to the public. As far as I know, the only way to access the abandoned section of the Asylum is through the lower levels if you're a groundskeeper, or there are underground tunnels that interconnect the buildings on the asylum grounds. The tunnels were primarily used for heating, but they would sometimes use the tunnels to transport patients between buildings in the winter when they couldn't transport them above ground. There are several other buildings on the property that were part of the asylum, but the ones that are abandoned are strictly off-limits, although people still manage to find ways in to the building. Of course there's the whole "19th Century Haunted Mental Asylum" rumors, and I don't know about the whole "haunted" part, but it's definitely not somewhere you want to hang around at night.
Reira thanks for watching and yes good point and i think some renters were in here last with a couple of kids. Shame it is going to rot away....Cheers Reira :-)
What a find! I am not an expert on when buildings were built. But if the fashions in home building in Australia is at all similar to the US, I would agree the 1940 -1050s would be a reasonable guess of when this was built. It’s a lovey home and would still be so if it were kept up. So sad.
Yes Emmy Lou, the inside was in better condition that i was expecting although not great. Paint on the outside all peeling. Larger inside than I first thought too, cheers for watching :-)
Do you play piano? You were doing a good job playing. It really looks ols so I think you're right aboutl the age. It saddens my heart that a beautiful piano is left out to rot, I took piano lessons when I was young, but played a clarinet in the band at school since they didn't need a piano player. This was a cool old house. 💜🙋♀️🇺🇲
I did not know you could play the piano. It still sounded pretty good too. I looked up what era the pink bathtubs were made and it was mostly in 1950's. But can be from 1946 - 1966. So I would have to say this house could be of the 40's.
I can play a little bit Sally, no lessons though :-) Yeah pink from the 50`s for sure. Still in solid condition. Shame it wont see another family by the looks, cheers for watching and your support Sally :-)
Nicely done. Love the piano and scenes woven into the video. The fireplace looks older then the rest of the house. A tour of the attic and cellar, if any, would be a great help in dating this house.
Hey Susan thanks for watching! :-) Unfortunately here in Australia attics and basements are rare! Only very old homes before electricity had small cellars for storing food. Attics and second stories were not common due to how hot Australia gets particularly in summer! hehe. :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 Thank you for the info it makes sense. I would think Australian's would use below ground to escape the heat. Are dugouts or earth berm type buildings at all common? How about shafts that would bring cool air up into ones home?
l like how you can play the piano. l wonder how old the piano is. l think this house very old, could be 1920s. the oven is old. l have always wanted a country house. pity this one has gone to ruin. all the best.
Thanks for watching Kathleen, I enjoy tinkering with the piano or keyboard every now and then :-) Yes I think it is early 1900`s now iv re watched it. That woodwork and doors are very old but in great condition still. :-)
Was I the only one who thought At 2:10 that we were going to hear a hard dubstep bass drop then the screen go's sideways and the next thing we know we're in the middle of a epic techno/ Urban Explorer mashup video...? What's that you say ... yes I am the one... Well anyway, you sir have created another great adventure for us to experience. Thanks for creating these opportunities for us. 👍
Wow! An interesting vid. I think you are correct about the approx. age of the house. The older doors could have even been scrapped by an older home just as others/newer in age seem scrapped from elsewhere. The interior walls/boarding tell the age of this home and doorknobs. There are old windows and newer ones installed. I think I even saw a jalousie window to the right of the fireplace. And I loved that the piano played so well being in the outdoors! Ironic that I had previously watched the catatonic schizophrenic on UA-cam and how catchy you used a blip from his interview. That was awesome! Seems like the owner just used what was available to keep this sturdy house going. Really enjoyed!!
Cheers for watching Jan, yes I kind of went by the woodwork for the dating. Mixed things inside though. Still a solid home too! I was happy the piano still held a good note! lol :-) Yes the piano man was a very interesting video, I hope he does not mind he found his way into my explore :-)
Nice find Indigo, the pink tub would be around the 50's or 60's. You make your videos fun love how you did the interview lol. I understand the not so good renters
Cheers Jo, I dont meant the piano man disrespect, but he was talking a lot about piano so he fit the bill for a cameo in the video! :-) Yeah pink sink and tub looks 50`s, cheers for watching :-)
I saw that same yt video about the psychopaths. Creepy! I loved that old piano & its wires still worked & was almost still in tune. Victoria seems like the kind if place Id be right at home. 2017 my trip to Australia had to be put on hold...temporarily I hope!
Yeah I had only just watched that interview too and then I find a piano! I just had to include him, :-) Make sure you still get over here sometime Missouri Red. :-)
Urbex Indigo its in early planning stages. Theres so much to see & what I want to experience is spread out so far away from each other. I lost my Dingo in 2016, he was 17. I got him from a breeder from Australia married to an American, that went thru the whole processes of bringing a female & then 3 years later a male & bred them. I really want another Pup but Sheila passed away last winter & her kids didn’t continue. Finding purebred dingos is very difficult here.
Nice find. Piano sounds good considering it has been outside. Those pink bathroom fixtures are from the 1950's. Other parts of the house definately older.
What a cool find, Paul! :-D That piano is just a bit out of tune. My folks had an upright piano just like that when I was growing up. Took piano and voice lessons for years. With a bit of paint and some updating, this house would be a great place to live! :-) As I mentioned before, my great-grandfather was an architect and you can find out some more about the firm he worked at: henry trost.org. My great-grandfather's name is on the list of architects and his name was Everett J. Bradt. He even designed the plans for my mom's high school and for my elementary/jr. high school. :-)
Wow Mary you would play better than me as I only taught myself a bit here and there haha. I can see why you have an interest in the exploring of these old homes regarding your family of Architects thats pretty amazing. Also your law enforcement career would have you figuring out all the clues left behind in these homes? That is the part I love too! hehe :-) I have a lot of ones still to upload you will love trying to piece together the puzzles of the former owners! :-) My Grandfather used to move complete old houses and buildings on his trucks for a living so this is a good part of prob why i`m intersted in these old homes sitting abandoned too! :-0
Paul this one is a put ya thinkin head on so many different aspects outter appearance very deceiving .. but inside wow its like Alice-in-Wonderland.. i bet its late 1890s with add.ons through to its abandonment :- extended 1960s maybe earlier i find that the owners are reluctant to spend on these old farmsteads lets face it :- make it comfortable for a short time as they know they will never recuperate there cash not on such a isolated property.... OK Paul hidden talents Eton John eat your heart out ahah:-That piano is a Weissbrod overstrung upright .. surprisingly in tune:- that"joanna" has been out on that veranda some time and the color of her ivory keys tells me that is one well made piano worth quite a few bucks ... i have a Steinaway grand and a Spencer upright.. i collect pianos have maybe 30 or so keep um in with my 57 Chevy and 56 Ford TBird.. Paul how about you and i doing Vagas or the Hollywood Rosebowl eh If Jeff Lynne and ELO can so can we :- we only need do one gig then retire what d-ya say..... seeya mar-mate..... Ed
Ok Ed `im in I will pack up my synthesizer and head over and you can play the Steinway grand and we can be some kind of piano version of Simon and Garfunkle haha. :-) And we can cruise around in the 57 Chevy in between gigs! :-)
Interesting find! I was amazed with the piano being in such good shape. Also, the shiplap and pink bathroom set would make a good amount of money if they scrapped this place. But all in all it was in good shape. I wonder if the peeling paint was the porch area before the add on 2nd bathroom. Thank you for sharing. You can keep the weirdo/creeper!
Hey Wendy! :-) Yes the wood would definitely been salvaged, still solid home needs a good clean up. I think you are spot on there, that laundry and toilet are was an add on for sure. :-) Cheers for watching :-)
I'd say the house is 1940s, and the Grand Theft Auto poster from the game launched in 2005 so I agree with the timeline of when the last occupants were there. I've now learned your name too ;). I do like these houses with the boards but I was thinking, Paul, of how much effort it is to build with them opposed to a plasterboard sheet. I used to have an upright piano but not as decorative as that one.
Great work Nessa V, I did not think to look up the posters! :-) When the first world war came and went the industrial age enables mass produced everything basically and home had all of the sheeting and order in materials.........not as much craftsmanship going on after that, that is how the modernized art deco streamlined curves came about too. :-0 Thanks for watching Nessa V
Rewatched vid. Resembles an old 2bd miners cottage I had. Same sinks bath wood walls knobs low front door knobs toilet laundry attached back of house. It was modernised, the power on the walls and ceilings with metal tubing
Hey Pia funny you mention miners cottage as this one is right near a large quarry, not sure if it is also a mine but definitely a huge quarry. I will upload the house next to this one soon, completely different design and from even earlier but has had conite applied over the weather boarding in the 50`s or 60`s when that was popular. :-)
WOW, UI! You really did a super job filming this old farm house. But truly, all your videos are great... Love how you utilized the film of a "psych" patient during your piano playing. And he really looked like he was sitting in that living room chair. BTW, I have seen that video. I have a suggestion for you. Next time you find a place that has birds flying around, do a cut from Alfred Hitchcock's, "The Birds". Keep these wonderful videos coming my friend... Chuck
Haha that is awesome Chuck as I seem to find the birds fly around me a lot! lol. I will keep adding a few surprises here and there to keep you guys on your toes......haha :-) Yeah I like the whole editing process and get carried away or creative here and there. Cheers for watching and your support Chuck :-)
I can’t believe how big that house is! From the outside, the house looks so small. Also, looking at the outside, I didn’t think the house looked salvageable. The inside does look like it could be saved. I like that chicken yard. I never heard of an outside aviary. Do they bring them in the house in the winter? I would think they would freeze otherwise. Sorry, I have no clue as to the house’s age. Thanks for the tour of this property!
Hey Kristine :-) In Australia the winters are cold but not too cold for the birds to be in an outside aviary. Probably would have been a couple of corella`s or cockatoos in there. :-) Yes this place was far better that outside suggested for sure! haha. Glad you enjoyed, cheers for watching :-0
Classic old Australian house, wood clad walls. left empty for a long time. Old piano left out in the porch area, with woodworm holes? done for. Needs clearing out, and restoring and selling
I agree with the 40’s. it looks like some of the outside rooms were added on much later than that. The pink bath and hand basin scream 1960’s to me. Unless they were very rich homes pre 1950 wouldn’t have had inside bathrooms or toilets, it would be the old thunderbox down the back yard and the bath would be in a seperate building to the main house. Do I detect piano lessons have been had by you, very nice playing. I did see an Austar/Foxtel dish on the roof, I think they only went to that style dish about 15 years ago. Prior to that they used a square aerial type thing for Austar as it was called back then.
Good call on the the dish on the roof, anther hint of the timeline :-) Woodwork inside says maybe even 20`s or earlier....... No lesson herre Wendy, I have learned a few melodies and tunes by tinkering around over the years :-) Cheers for watching :-)
i wonder if built today the lounge would have bi-fold doors and out onto a patio. Interesting why these places get to the state they are in, something I was wondering as I watched this and previous 'farmhouse' vids. Of course now wondering who the playing the piano man is, for a moment when you were in the lounge i thought he had come from that house! but then i re-watched the vid at the piano stage and it was your clever editing to show him sitting in the lounge. :-)
The boarding (walls) and the doors are just like my great grandparents’ place (where my grandma was raised and my mom was born and raised) in Southern California, so I’m going to guess the late 1800’s/early 1900’s.
Yep can relate reira, my grandma had a home with this boarding and it was built 1912. :-) I really like the old styles. This style lasted up til about the 30`s and started well back into the 1800`s. Cheers for watching :-)
Hey Paul..that sounded pretty good! My dad used to sit me on his knee and play the the boogie woogie and other crazy stuff. We had a Baldwin. Wish I could find more stuff on the Weissbrod piano? I hope someone will know more and comment. Agree with you on the age of house. I love that living room with the huge picture window. And...last but not least .."the piano man. That was brilliant. Thanx for another great explore. Looking forward to the next
I learned to play a little bit just tinkering on the keyboards I have. :-) I did not research the piano yet, would be great to save it form destruction! The piano man I am intrigued with and I mean him no disrespect :-) This home could be good again with a little love :-0
@@urbexindigo5164 I know your not being direspectful to him. I've watched the video of him, before, as well. I'm fascinated by him. Not because I think he's weird or anything like that, but..because of his condition. He would be "one"... normal decent people would want to protect.. not hurt. I did t see anywhere in your adventure..where you were making fun of him. You just brought him along for the explore
He is very interesting because he is frustrated with the explanations he has been given by doctors and speaks very proper and quite articulate and deliberate with his answers. A misfit put away it seems.........I did bring him along as he loves piano and I loved that piano! :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 you've got that right. Most people don't want to deal with the pain or they're ashamed of a family member..who has mental issues. Sounds like his father was an ass. I grew up loving someone very much who suffered from mental issues. She was my aunt. She was in a real bad car wreck. They found a John Doe, in the back of her car. My dad had said, they will probably never find out who he was. She had massive head injuries but made it. After that...wow. She was out there. Sometimes the stuff she came up with was hilarious, like claiming her pooch, "Chester was cussing at her and people with no eyes showing up at her door, or the CIA after her. Other times I wanted to shake her till she snapped out of it. She never hurt anyone and was free to do as she liked till the day she died.
I think it could be older because of the door knobs ..the bathroom could have been added on. My grandma had a pink bathroom added to her Victorian house in the 1910😄👍🙋🕊️
Another Hitchcock moment 😹 I moved into a house with a very similar pink bath/sink and that was mid nineties but it could have been fitted years before that. Loved the piano music. Do you play much? 💋 xx
Seems i`m becoming the "Birdman" lol The pink reminded me of some 50`s homes iv explored! I play a bit via my piano keyboards Julia but not like a person who has been taught, just someone who has figured out a few nice melodies here and there. haha. Cheers for watching :-)
Hey Tina thanks for watching :-) It sure was way bigger inside that i thought too! I thought it was just going to be a smallish type cabin. Cheers from Adelaide/Australia, thanks for watching :-)
I would guess 1940 to 1950 based on the colors in the bath. Great job with the piano and footage. I believe he was schizophrenic from videos I have seen of him but really can’t remember.
Yeah shape of the house looks around that era although the woodwork inside looks earlier! Yes he is the gut from that interview! Im amazed how many people recognize him! :-)
I still wonder what might be in that pile of leaves in one of your videos. They just found a dead body under a big pile of leaves & stuff, after the pile had been cleaned up. Strange stuff. Be careful exploring.
Hi, as a guess I recon this house is 1910, but it's always hard to accurately estimate with country properties without knowing the then financial standing of the owners. As far as the last tenanted date, 2010 perhaps. The Health Care Card that was with the Medicare Card would have given an idea. Surprisingly the piano wasn't far out of tune. The house & property looked fairly reasonable condition wise, just needing a good clean up with minor repairs. Thank you for another explore video.
Hey Time cheers for watching, I was thinking due to the interior woodwork and old doors it may even be earlier than 30`s. New paint job and a clean up it still could be a good solid home. These places get rented out by the farm owners til expenses get too much to repair. Cheers Tim :-)
EARTH ANGEL 😇 Sitting on a nice piece of property, but this home ,I believe, accommodated a large, poor family. There are no fancy features here. No fancy ceilings or ceiling lights, no fancy doors, floors, moldings, cornices, windows, walls, or stairs. The fanciest item here seems to be the piano, and that’s been left outside in the weather!!!🙁 Some things make me believe that it’s 1929-30, but other things tell me tat it may be earlier!??🧐 possibly built by the owner himself!!!👨🌾👍😍❤️👍👍
Well assessed Earth Angel and your right, this would have been an early farmhouse for a family just starting out on new land around the 1900`s or just after I think. Almost looks very symetrical and ,military from outside, stock standard approach. The piano I was very happy with :-) Cheers for watching :-)_
Another cool find. I'm guessing 1930's or 1940's bungalow as well. Love the piano and your playing it. Easy remodel, more of a good cleaning up. Thanks for sharing! Cheers!
House definitely in better shape than the outside suggests! I try play the piano , know some melodies but thats it haha. Cheers for watching Lea, glad you enjoyed. And thanks for watching the paranormal upload the other day! :-)
Yeah the woodwork inside I have definitely seen in early 1900`s homes and the home next door has it as well plus hall archway very indicative of around 1910. Upload that one in next few weeks too. :-)
Rob Chen pink sink and toilet and such go as far back to the 1950's. 1960's was the sage green and the 1970's were browns and beige. Just a friendly note ☺
If you had the serial number of that piano you’d get the date of manufacture fairly easily off the web ,, ( I googled weissbrod straight away 🤔) it looks old . My ex had an upright piano and I know why they left it behind cos I got sick of shifting the bloody thing every time we moved . Good explore mate .
Hey mate! This one down near Warnambool :-) Yes the piano I did not research but others have said the same and I would love to have it! Yeah moving them would eventually be too much hassle if had to move out and find new place quick. Cheers for watching :-)
Nice find. The view 0:57 of the piano with the passion flower on the floor is beautiful, Imagine what that looks like when the flowers are in bloom. The plant that makes its way in through the window is also nice. 5:07 There is a kind of prehistoric bird on the wall. :-) 10:31 That is good editing, creepy fellow. I love your piano piece. I can not help you with dates but I enjoyed this piece of abandoned world. Thanks for sharing.
I was happy to find the piano and that is was still in decent condition! :-0 The green vines were starting to clain the house and indeed looked very nice! Birds own this one now obviously haha. Birds seem to like me or hate me lol. Cheers for watching Ellice :-)
Wow, that old piano was in pretty good tune too. Amazing sitting out like that for so long.
Man, that’s piano found is absolutely amazing... very cool edit with this old quotes of this man :)
I loved this explore again mate, keep going!!🙏🏼🔥
Hey Explomo lads! :-) I knew I would eventually find one! haha. Yeah I had just watched that guy in video and remembered him talkin piano so I brought him into the explore! Cheers for watching! :-)
reminds me of the house we grew up in. Ours was a really happy home!!
Great to hear you had a happy home Penolope! :-) This home would have seen some happy days with the large tree surronded yard and the piano being played on the porch in Summer :-) cheers for watching :-)
I love that you care about the bird getting free ❤️. Also loved seeing Passion flower. It’s very pretty. Thank you from Pennsylvania!
:-) Cheers for watching
i loved the sound of you playing the piano beautiful and thanks for sharing
My pleasure Charlotte, I tried to remember some sort of tune so im glad the piano was still in decent tune lol. Glad you enjoyed, cheers for watching :-)
That house is like the TARDIS, bigger on the inside. On the money with the time period and reasoning. Love the meshing of the piano playing psychopath incorporated. Serial killer???
It was way bigger inside i agree! I though it was almost a hut haha. Yes that is my new psycho mate the piano man! lol "Play the piano for people" :-) Cheers for watching Gene :-)
I'd say 40s is the age, but the pink bathroom would probably be about late 50s
Old mate had a ute to help the move but The piano!!! No way. Another terrific explore tx
Tempted to ask the owner if i can have that piano! Ain`t got no ute, but could get a trailer to move it! :-)
Lol be safe & I do look forward to more adventures & laughs 😊
Hey cowgirlo99 thanks for watching :-) Definitely a solid home still able to have a family again with some love :-)
Loved it, the sound of the birds, amazing x
Glad you enjoyed Jacqueline! :-) Many birds all around sing and feeding time late in the arvo! Cheers :-)
The birds bought the house they where telling you get out cherp hahahaha good video so enjoyed it 👍🏻
Yep, I think they had a nest or 2 in there Broken Angel :-) Hope they didnt get too angry with me. Thanks for watching and i`m glad you enjoyed :-)
A very nice old place, and with some nice old things in it.
Nice find. Enjoyed that 👍🏴
Hey Fiona cheers for watching! Glad you enjoyed this one! :-)
I`m glad it comes across that way as I do enjoy and am conscious that you guys will be taking the ride with me through these homes so good capture of the scenery is important and a good light on the camera :-)
You are very correct about lack of two story homes and basements in Australian homes. The old homes had small cellar type rooms for food storage but never really had full blown basements. I gradually started appreciated the build structures the more explores I did, comparing every house I found and drawing correlations. Glad you enjoying Tamarra, I have some really cool ones to upload still! :-)
Wow Paul what a great find thank you for the video ! If walls could talk !!
Absolutely Sheila! I would love to wind back the clock and see things back in the day :-) Cheers for watching :-)
GREAT OPENING!I liked the house!
Hey Patricia, cheers for watching glad you enjoyed :-)
This house had a good vibe to it, kind of a feeling that is was and still could be a happy place. The piano was way cool, the concert even better. Thanks for a fun video.
Hey Sedora I agree that this home and the whole property is a great spot and just needs a good clean up! And the piano in action a lot more! haha Cheers for watching :-)
Cool find! Love how mother nature grew a path to the piano! Loved the editing! Great job!
That did look very cool Chawnie! Slowly nature is claiming back the old place. Even the birds now own it haha. Cheers for watching :-)
I'm glad you found your first piano you play it beautifully.
Cheers Michele! I try to play a bit here and there! :-)
I couldn't guess when it was built, but it sure was a beautiful spot, loved the bird song. My favorite was the vines growing in the window.
The woodwark inside and the door handles make it no later than early 30`s I think Bayla and maybe as early as 1900....But the shape of the house seems bit later....The birds were really active in this video singing and swooping haha :-)
Yay the first piano! :D
It looks like the last lot of renters left a lot of their stuff before they left.
Awesome find. Thank you.
My pleasure Debra, glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching :-)
I might throw in some mystery characters in videos to see if you guys pick them out........... haha :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 that would be cool!! can't wait to see! LOL
Old abandoned piano, house with tongue and groove panelling, broken windows, birds in and out, messing on the kitchen furniture, Old chairs, old double mattress with patterned cover
Nice find 😃That would be so cool fixed up
With a yard clead up and fresh coat of paint this property is a great spot and the home is still solid. Cheers for watching Lisa, glad you liked :-)
Thank you for the video and the piano music.
No worries Michele, glad you enjoyed and thanks for watching :-)
Nice bungalow and yes bigger inside than out I thought you were going to give us a song a long with the piano I think you are right with the dates but the pink bathroom I would say 70's thanks for sharing take care xx
Haha Rosa next piano I find I will try give a song with the tune! :-0 Play piano for people! Cheers for watching, glad you enjoyed, :-)
Hello from Texas , enjoying the videos
Hey Billy cheers for watching and hello from Adelaide Australia. Glad you are enjoying mate :-)
Applause 👏 👏👏👏. Great piano playing mate. 👍✌️
Next working piano I find Bev I will play some more too! haha. thanks for watching :-)
Urbex Indigo awww can’t wait 👍✌️
What a find loved the windows and the piano you play nice ☺️
Wanting to find another piano Megan, the last one I found had the ceiling collapsed all on it! :-)
Just found your channel, I am thoroughly enjoying exploring with you. Great job 😊
Hi PGDB cheers for watching! :-) I`m glad you are enjoying these house explores, I have many more still to come! Cheers from Australia :-)
Loved the piano, great sound considering it had been left outside for who knows how long. Great Video thank you again.
I was very happy to finally find one Leeanne haha :-) And try and play it. Cheers for watching :-)
I feel like this place at night would give a really cool Resident Evil 7 vibe. Cool location, nice job on the piano!
Josh I could not agree more! Way out in the country too, great place to make and Indy horror flick , cheers for watching :-)
To see the old kitchen appliances and antique doorknobs - then to see a wall with posters dedicated to Rockstar games...Wow...Now that’s a gap.
Reira thanks for watching and yes good point and i think some renters were in here last with a couple of kids. Shame it is going to rot away....Cheers Reira :-)
Thanks for posting this nice exploration video
My pleasure thinksoft9, glad you enjoyed! Cheers for watching :-)
Looking forward to seeing more of yr Vids🇦🇺👍
Just uploading one now Pia :-) Cheers ! :-)
Love this! A new exploration!!!!
Hey Phyllis thanks for watching, hope you enjoy this explore! :-)
Urbex Indigo ... I really did!!! Thanks a bunch!
:-) :-) :-)
Hi ! It must be an old piano cause I couldn't find it on line.
GhostCity Shelton me neither, and I looked.🖤🇨🇦
Hey Sean, I seriously thought about going down that avenue! But though it may be out of context for most hahahaha. I play piano for people......
Yeah pink sink and tub looks 50`s, cheers for watching :-)
Neat piano 👌
Nice find. Piano sounds good considering it has been outside. Those pink bathroom fixtures are from the 1950's. Other parts of the house definately older.
I would love to save the piano! :-) Yeah I agree the pink is 50`s. The woodwork is definitely older. Glad you enjoyed N L Cheers for watching :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 I always look forward to your videos. ☺
If i was him, i would take that piano home
Rewatched vid. Resembles an old 2bd miners cottage I had. Same sinks bath wood walls knobs low front door knobs toilet laundry attached back of house. It was modernised, the power on the walls and ceilings with metal tubing
P. S Aussie from victoria
I use to live in home like this they were the best
Built to last Sharon! The interior seems even far back as 1900? Cheers for watching :-)
Nice love the piano I would yea live there
Hopefully the piano gets saved off that porch! :-0 thanks for watching Velma
There would have been an expiry date on the Medicare card so that might have given you a roundabout date give or take a few years.
Good call on the the dish on the roof, anther hint of the timeline :-) Woodwork inside says maybe even 20`s or earlier.......
No lesson herre Wendy, I have learned a few melodies and tunes by tinkering around over the years :-) Cheers for watching :-)
Thank you for the piano music very nice. :)
Your welcome marie, it was just a little tinkering on the keys. I have a keyboard I like to mess around on when have time :-) Cheers for watching :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 well you can play your keyboard for me anytime! :)
Haha, well I better brush up on my skills! :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 LOL you do that!
@@Volaris27 ;-)
i wonder if built today the lounge would have bi-fold doors and out onto a patio. :-)
Very interesting !
Thanks for watching Jane!
Wow sorry to hear of her accident and illness afterwards Sandy. Not nice. A cussing dog would indeed be a sight to behold though! haha :-)
I think it could be older because of the door knobs ..the bathroom could have been added on. My grandma had a pink bathroom added to her Victorian house in the 1910😄👍🙋🕊️
Yep! After watching this back I tend to agree the date may be earlier for the reason you state L L. I love these older ones a lot!!! :-)
Urbex Indigo well you played lovely and is it Elton John who learnt to play without reading music? So you’re in good company! Xx
My grandparents house had those black light switches and Theater house was like over 100 years old
Yes indeed Katrina, the interior of this homes looks older style than the exterior style.
hi from michigan 😊 to tell you I thought it was gonna be so small.. it sure is big inside.
I do recall the home you refer too Ruth, I think it was a pile of bark chips or something? Hmmmm hope no body there.
That house is for the birds!! 😂😂
Great explore. Congrats on your first piano and creepy edits
Thanks Lex, was very happy to find that indeed! :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 they seem very common here. I've found a bunch.
@@pushmearound I know! I been watching you guys over there find them all the time!!!! Glad I got one now haha
Urbex Indigo thank you kind sir!!
Now I should go to abandoned building and find a free piano and clean it imagine just having a big piano for free
Always a pleasure to watch your videos. Very interesting. Very well presented also.
Looks like maybe from the 1900’s very early turn of the century!
Yeah the woodwork inside I have definitely seen in early 1900`s homes and the home next door has it as well plus hall archway very indicative of around 1910. Upload that one in next few weeks too. :-)
very cool old house, maybe split into 2 living quarters. 1900s maybe
Hey Julies good point it kind of had that mirror image of two side for sure! I think early 1900`s now too! Cheers for watching :-)
the pink bath and toilet look 1970s we have a pink set too.
Rob Chen pink sink and toilet and such go as far back to the 1950's. 1960's was the sage green and the 1970's were browns and beige. Just a friendly note ☺
Hey Rob, good call. I have seen those pink ones in old 50`s homes too. Old home by the look of the wood boards inside. Cheers for watching :-)
I drives me crazy when I see people put these pianos out to ruin.
liked this house, is some of the piano music in you videos played by you?
I'm surprised the old piano sounded pretty good for being in that condition out-of-doors.
I hope someone saves it ! Before it`s too late and rots away. Thanks for watching :-)
Main part 30-40s than added on still not bad on inside outside is kinda rough but nice piece of land.😀
Cheers for stopping bye Vonda! :-) Great piece of land, house still solid just need a good clean up and new porch floor. :-)
