Would you recommend trying to do any of the 'cross-simplifying' my teacher mentions? Like with spotting if theres common factors in multiplying before doing the actual multiplying.
Oooh yeeaaah. thanks a lot dude. I was going through my gcse checklist for Maths and i was super confused on what this meant. so i marked this red, but turns out i do know what it is. you also explain with great clarity and have a clear voice too, so you helped me understand better than i did before, thanks a lot!
Sir, I have this question 2x-1/6 + 3x/4 - x-2/12 I get this answer: 12x-4/12 But this book answer is: x Please help me, can we simplify the answer?? How?? if yes
[4x - 2]/12 + [9x]/12 - [x - 2]/12 = [4x - 2 + 9x - x + 2]/12 = [12x]/12 = x Most likely you are putting -2 - 2 but it should be -2 + 2 as you are subtracting a negative.
@@afkgamer7204 You are subtracting the fraction and not adding. The subtraction will affect both the x and the negative 2. I have added in another line of working out for you. [4x - 2]/12 + [9x]/12 - [x - 2]/12 = [ (4x - 2) + (9x) - (x - 2) ] /12 = [4x - 2 + 9x - x + 2]/12 = [12x]/12 = x
I was sick a lot recently and missed a few of my classes. Thank you for helping me catch up!
Any time!

@@1stClassMaths Why you multiply this fraction x-2/12 by -1 ??
The denominator is already 12 there

[4x - 2]/12 + [9x]/12 - [x - 2]/12
= [ (4x - 2) + (9x) - (x - 2) ] /12
= [4x - 2 + 9x - x + 2]/12

ty but it would be nice if you went a little slower
You can slow down the video a bit if hes too fast, but personally hes going at the perfect pace for me

Try to explain a little slowly pls 😐
these are mainly revised quick videos, you have to already understand the concept
you just made everything easy. thank youuu so much!🩷
