Sir, in response spectrum analysis of RC shear wall for seismic condition which command have to be used RS displacement, RC velocity or RC acceleration? And how can i find there values?
This is input or loads to the seismic analysis you should aware of this. If you have acceleration vs frequency then use RS displacement, for velocity vs frequency loads use RC velocity and for displacement Vs frequency use RC displacement.
Sir what If I have a Ratio eff. mass to total mass is just 0.62 on X direction, 0.14 on Y direction, and 0.79 on Z direction? why I can't get near to 100% ratio
It is based on mode shapes and its mass participation in respective directions. In order to get higher mass participation, you need to extract more natural frequency and hence you need to increase the number of mode shapes. It will be good if you can achieve more than 90% mass participation.
@@graspengineering9249 I inputted 40 modes to find so the value of Ratio eff. mass changed to X = 0.85, Y = 0.25, Z = 0.90 . Still they Y direction is the problem compared to X and Z direction. How I can fix it? Thanks
I limited my search range from 0 Hz to 14 Hz because the data I have just up to 13.5 Hz maximum. I set max modes to find is 50. But the solution just gives me 46 mode results, and still, the Y direction ratio eff. just 0.20
Thank you so much for your video lesson, its' very helpful. but I'd like to ask one question about covert frequency units using w, actually I don't understand why Sd=Sv/w, but Sd=Sa/w^2 is understood based on d=Asin(wt), d''=a=(-) w^2 * d. Would you please give me more detail or references? Thanks a lot in advance. (Sv=Sd * w, not Sd/w, referring convet rule)
Can i set modal damping coefficient using command Mdamp(I have a different damping ratios on different modes) in Ansys Workbench Response spectrum analysis (Single Point with CQC modal combination Rule) ?
You can model 1D structure & apply beam pressure, forces, UDL, etc. Refer similar video of topside module analysis. We will Upload Video for the same in future.
Good explanation sir. Take a bow!!
Thank you kindly
Thank you for the video. Please look for part 2 and 3.
Thank you once again
Welcome !
where can we get the response acceleration? or ground motions? I do not find any database for it
very nice explaination
Thanks and welcome
Is part 2 available .?
yes, please find the link: ua-cam.com/video/G1ziw2U0XZ4/v-deo.html
@@graspengineering9249 thank you so much !
Thanks for this video. How did you define the connection between beams and the column?
Welcome ! You can define connections as joint for beam and column.
Thank you so muchhh 😊😊😊😊
your welcome

You can define damping vs frequency in workbench.
@@graspengineering9249 Can you explain how to do it?
@@МихаилПоликарпов-ф4м Please check analysis setting you have option for damping vs frequency.
@@graspengineering9249 Ihave seen this option but there is only one frequency in it.
Thank you can you explain in details about missing paet
