Its very concerning when abby was going up to nia to point out her hair. If you watch closely you see nia getting closer to holly.

Abby started disrespecting her daughter by using her hair. Those words were racist and downright despicable. If you didn't know, in the US black women's and girls' hair is considered to be unruly and laws have been implemented for dozens of years-centuries-to restrict and restrain the manner in which black women wear their hair. Systemic racism in institutions across the US have shamed and used the exact same language in policies and laws to hurt black women. These types of attacks have only ever been waged on black women and girls. Black women and girls are looked down upon for wearing the hair and that naturally grows out of their head and other styles. Of course, Holly would be reasonably irate about that. Abby was telling her that her daughter's hair was not "presentable enough and not white enough" for her.
