If we keep enforcing rules to protect against head and neck hits, which we should, what is a defense supposed to do? Every receiver, back, or QB lowers their head to try to truck someone. If you punish a defender for trying to make a tackle, what are they supposed to do against big, strong guys? You cannot arm tackle d. Henry or Metcalf. I am not talk about cheap shotting, though, I mean legitimately trying to tackle a guy, but he bends to truck you as you try to drive a shoulder into his body.
