Karhu is one of the oldest shoe brands in the world, over 100 years. They are also one of the most innovative. They were the original Adidas three stripe logo and sold to logo to them in the 50s

Thank you brother! This brand specializes in outdoors sneakers as well. They make water-repellent sneakers, running shoes, etc etc. If you can find them for decent sale, I would say one of the best value for you money shoe brands out there.

I will be honest tho. Until I started this youtube channel, 99% of my sneakers were from Nike, Jordan Brand, and Reebok pumps. Other 1% being Asics lol. What I am realizing is that Nike/JB quality is probably the worst in general compared to the smaller companies. I tend to buy a lot less Nikes these days. Thanks for watching 🙏

Same here until very recently! After seeing them in person and wearing them, I can vouch for the quality and overall workmanship. Quite affordable too.

These should be available at most high end department stores. I am surprised myself that I have come across them more in person until very recently. Great quality materials at affordable prices!

I haven't come across these until very recently too. Karhu is a relatively smaller shoe company from Finland. Surprisingly tho lots of department stores carry them including Fifth Saks and barney's new york.

I have always loved Karhu,my first pair 6 years ago was the Fusion limited Poseidon which was beautifull to wear,I also had 2 pairs of the synchron model,I just order another pair as well today the beautifull colourway hot sauce my favourite .
I like Karhu but I just haven't found the right model and colorway to cop. I remember kanye wore a pair couple years ago. Cant believe they sold the 3 stripes to Adidas. Unbelievable!! Dope pickup and video

@@FiveMinuteSneakerTV and i believe you said you got these from barneys. i ordered a pair of silver/grey woven prestos from them once but was off on the sizing and then they didnt have the size i actually needed so i couldnt exchange them. now i always have sad memories when i see that name. that particular presto model was soo good.

It’s a REALLY nice shoe. Really like what they did with the laces. Colorway is cool and look very comfortable even if you have to go half size up. Nice find! I’d actually buy them.
These really are awesome. Such great deal too even at the full retail price of 135. I heard that other models karhu makes (like Aria) doesn't fit as snug. I may give those a try soon as well. But even this model at half size up works great for me. Looks great and is quite comfortable.

One things that's good about these smaller brands, they have to put out a better product (materials, quality and construction). That's a win for the sneaker community!

I do gotta say this shoenis indeedd very detailed with the shoe with colors.. Even the laces are different.. Sure looks snugs for sure! Looks good on feet!
With all those details and great quality materials, I would say even at full retail, this is a good deal. On sale, it's a no brainer haha.

Never heard of Karhu before. Hearing the pigskin material made me think of football. These look really comfortable!
Haha yup! It's the inner part of pigskin they are using (sanded down). What I don't know is if that type of leather is pricey or rare. It sure does give it that super luxurious feel and looks for sure tho

It's a brand out of Finland. Most of their shoes retail for 135 or 150 but you can find them on sale. Suede they use is like butter. Like the SB dunks from silver box era 🔥🔥

I think I have around 200 ish haha. I haven't really counted tho. The only problem is I don't have my shoes in one place. My parents still keep a lot of my older sneakers for me from my high school college days. I will try to get organized and put together a collection video one of these days!

I know many love Diadora Heritage series or Collab models made in Italy. Some Saucony shoes are also worth checking out.

I think it really depends on your overall shoe size too but mine isn't quite 11cm. I would say tho in generally if you have 11cm width feet, you would be considered to have wide feet.
just love that model, too bad they fit me weird. tts is too small and half up is to voluminous in the toebox
I went out briefly with them and half size up fit me perfect haha. Not much room in the toe box for me. Very comfortable too. It's funny how everyones feet are so different

How's the cushioning like? Any popular shoes with similar midsole?
Hey Matt, I would say it's fairly comparable to older Air Max models like Air Max2 Light. It's hard to describe and articulate this but Synchron is more comfortable overall imo for the following reasons. Not just the cushioning but the sockliner and materials in the inner part of the shoes seem to have more padding? Or they seem to be better finished compared to most older "Nike Air" models. Sometimes Nikes hurt my pinky or top of my foot due to imperfections inside. Karhus do not. Hope this helps! If you are considering these, make sure to go up half a size.

Yeah man you will love your pair. You are basically getting New Balance Made In US model type of quality here for a fraction of the price. Make sure to cop on Sale. No need to pay full retail. Also I have another video on my channel on Karhu. It's the new Legacy 96 model that they just released. Check that out as well. Italian Leather on those 🔥🔥
@@FiveMinuteSneakerTV Just checked the new vid. The Legacy is a super nice pair especially when you zoomed up close to the details. But I may wait for new colorways for this style. BTW, Fusion 2.0 fit snug as well?
So what's interesting about fusion 2.0 is its right in between how Legacy 96 and Synchron fit. Synchron I definitely recommend half size up but Fushion 2.0.... It really depends I think and everyone's feet are different. I went half size up on Fushion 2.0 and they are super comfy with a bit of room for me. If I went TTS, it would have been too tight for me. Compare this to Legacy 96, I went tts and I could have maybe gone half size down. Synchron fits me perfectly at half size up. Hope this helps!
