"It is impossible to change how a person thinks or what they do, without first changing how they feel." Love this boys

Life is easier when you quit trying to CHANGE people, and simply create choices and opportunities for them to show up and step up.

Love the psychic handshake, I'm going to do it with my students today in class, thanks guys!

Yeah that is a super fun one! 100% needs a demo for it to "click" for everyone. But once it does. So easy, quick and fun!

Mark and Chad-- what a power team!! I will be trying the "counting sounds in silence" and "psychic handshake" in the coming week. I saw you deliver the "How to Shift the State of Mind" circle activity to a group in another video and I found it brilliant! Thank you for all of your videos- as a fellow educator, I sure appreciate them :)

0:33 what is it you said about a sandwich? In any case, thank you for all your excellent videos and other resources!

Haha, "fluff [the marshmallowy spread] belongs on a sandwich, not in a video."

Is there a remote/virtual version of the psychic handshake?

    • @chad.littlefield
      @chad.littlefield  8 місяців тому

Hmmmm...this is a really tough one because it requires a really distinct physical sensation of another person holding you back from trying to shake their hand haha. I'll have to ponder that...bonus points to anybody else here who comes up with a clever virtual adaptation...

Arrive: Shhhh count the noises you hear for the next 1 minute.
    Psychic Handshake: find your group
Shift Focus: move finger clockwise top to down (change perspective)
    Touch blue: 1 minute energizer

Thank you. Should be chapters too on the UA-cam scroll bar to help with this for folks 🙂

How many of these activities would you do if you were working with a department of 10-20 people on teambuilding?

Oooooof, that is a tough question to answer without heaps more context. I design all of my sessions with these 5 Ingredients for Engagement. You might find this structure useful to focus your design and ensure you aren't just doing back to back activities for the sake of it. These 5 ingredients will offer a bit more thought and intention to a session designed to strengthen/build your team: ua-cam.com/video/kAJ4LLnOUZk/v-deo.html

Thank you, but you should quote your sources, "clockwise" is from: The Systems Thinking Playbook: Exercises to Stretch and Build Learning and Systems Thinking Capabilities

I'm a BIG fan of citing sources and do it often in nearly every video ... AND what if I've never even heard of that book? This is a serious question, and I would love to hear your thoughts.

Hi, if I‘am aware that it’s not mine And I don’t know the sources I say Unknown source or if in f2f interactions I say where I learned about it , I think that serves the purpose, I don’t think that needs to be done by everyone all the time but as you are a game developer I would find that appropriate for obvious reasons
