The 2023 version of the machine includes the following features which further boost its productivity and user friendliness while improving the quality of finished reels-
• A fully automatic rotary shear cutting unit with Pneumatically actuated Individual Rotary Cutters (PIRC). Of course, as before, automatic cutter setting is just one part of ‘Auto- job set up’ as defined by SP. It also includes automatic web guide positioning at the unwind and core positioning at the rewind, all of which take place simultaneously, even before the job is loaded!
• Simultaneous ‘Grip and place’ positioning of new cores on the upper and lower rewind shafts, which effectively reduces the finished reels changeover time to half. As you can well imagine, this innovation is nothing less than a boon to converters of wrap round labels, in which case more than 30 cores need to be positioned during each rewind cycle.
• A secondary pusher on the off- loading arms to streamline finished reels handling.
