Okay, so how many of you have already noticed the "Azure flaw": anyone who enters the train in a wheelchair or pushes a wide stroller in VIA THE END DOORS CANNOT roll past those first two double-seats in order to access the rest of the train because the aisle space between them is too narrow. They will have to remain in the end of the car and leave the same way when they arrive at their station. I suppose you COULD try and ask a couple of strong guys to LIFT you over and through, but good luck with that! As for the Azure cars being "quieter" than the MR-63s or 73s: not sure ANY car would be quieter as the ambient noise comes from a combination of various source. Bring a decibel-o-meter to confirm this. Anyway, we all know that Toronto's subway trains are noisier: squeeeel...sshreeeek...chugga chugga chugga. etc.! Anyway, the Azure's doors open wider, the lighting is brighter, we can walk through the train, etc., but the seats are NOT comfortable--almost as bad as most of our Novabusses! Shouldn't soft padding have been a priority? C'mon, even Victoria, B.C. busses still have padded seats like every STM/MTC bus model did from the Classic and even before the Brills! Not as much vandalism in Victoria, perhaps?
