Maria was such a great character. I'm sorry but at this point everyone has come down pretty hard on Maria. Asa and Tina played a monumental role in all the trouble that was caused.
I know. Maria has been a revelation to me. I onlt got to watch OLTL with my grandparents during summers and holidays (I was around 8!) and Maria is a revelation to me getting to see all of this! And these videos reminded me how underated Clint Ritchie and Phil Carey were as actors. And I am also shocked at how much I like the Sanders.. they bring a Y&R style vibe to this show- They are not particularly exciting (other than Elizabeth) but they are very different for OLTL. I am not surprised that they did not last. And that my favorite set is The Holden Towers. (Are they calling it this yet?)
@@upontheventura I don't think it's called the Holden Towers until later but I may be wrong on that. Concerning Maria she had a perfectly fine life with Al Roberts and had moved on past Clint until Tina showed up in El Paso and upended everything. Also Asa's bigotry and snobbery played a huge role in Maria's actions. I'm not excusing Maria's actions, just pointing out some facts.
Kate was always so annoying to me. Imagine being shocked Tina is still legally married to Cord smh she’s alive not dead clearly that means they are still legally bound by marriage. What exactly did she expect she knew very well when she met Cord he was married but that never deterred her so know she can deal with it.
Yeah, that moment felt weird to me. I was questioning whether or not I had just seen that kind of story too much in the 90s and 00s to know automatically that Cord/Tina were still married and that was influencing my ability to buy this story in 87 or not. Heh.
Kate knew she had no chance against Tina. Cord was already slipping away despite his vow to do right by her. This was daytime drama at its best!

It becomes the Holden Towers in July. Max hasn't taken over quite yet at this point.

The twist to this story is that the baby Max hears...is actually Max's...with another woman! Not C and T's like he's led to believe.
