Something that wasn't mentioned that new players probably wouldn't know is that in order to get the cutting torch, you need to scope out the drain entrance.

These Cayo videos have been super helpful for me. I had a friend run me through the heist, but there was so much I didn't understand. I learned so much as a noob, even the tip about landing the sparrow on the sub. lol. Appreciate it!
After watching your starting as a level one series. It made me reset my character and start over from scratch following your guide. I just finished the dose missions and have a few more Fooligan missions to upgrade my acid lab. I will agree that the acid lab is the way to go. I made 10 deliveries in an invite-only lobby and still made over $433k!! That is a lot more than I have ever made with any other business in this game. Working on upgrading the acid lab next then getting that Kosatka and doing the Cayo perico heist. I will admit some missions you made it seem easier than they were, but overall it's a great guide, and I'm really enjoying the grind. Cheer🍻
With the longfan boat setup. I just take myself out instead of losing the cops. Than I just ran back to the truck and drive to the drop off.
Thanks so much for this! I was finally able to complete it on my own. I did miss the elite challenge because when I went back to the longfin by the landing strip, it had floated away and I had to chase after it.

A random in a public lobby introduced me to this heist about a year ago. I learned how to run it the same way you do. This is my favorite heist. This heist alone has funded just about everything I have online 😂
You make the Cayo Perico Heist look so easy. When I tried it for the first time, the final heist itself took me about 30 mins, and I failed get the elite challenge. Thanks a lot!

There's an even easier way to scope out cayo perico. From the airstrip run behind the hangar to the shoreline and go left along the shoreline. Boats will spawn. If not for some reason just jump in the water. Steal a boat and go straight to the main dock. Go up the incline at the shore and follow it to the water tower then cut across. Super quick n easy
I always use the MOC as I dont have the wedge and it works just as good :) I also use the MOC any time I require to pick up a trailer.

Learned a few ago that you can actually scope your main loots trough the camera, then get the the interaction menu and change your outfit, this will make a gold circle pop at the bottom right of your screen (Game is saving), then just start a new session and you get to the kosatka with the scope out done, no need to get caught/ die /get to the plane :)

15:28 A quick tip for this specific prep set up is do what you just did, yk mark the drop off location. Once you get there instead of waiting or actually trying to lose the cops i always just blow my self up by cooking an grenade make sure you run away from the phantom wedge while cooking or it’ll blow up your long fin making you fail nd restart prep. You will respawn with 0 stars and just hop on in and complete the prep.

I had the same issue on escape. I kept healing because it took my rebreather away. Finally respawned me back on the island. Stood still for a few seconds and it gave me the completion

First time I got the wedge I honestly thought it was a waste of money..
But after using it literally EVERYTIME it saves you so much time... Just spawn in.. Get the boat.. and basically make every cop car in your wat fly... Worth every penny for peeps who do cayo perico alot

If you have an Opresor MK2, you don't need/want the Sparrow. You can land the Opresor on the tip of the sub to make things quicker _😄😄_
You can "off" yourself soon as you get out of police compound for the boat then boom no wanted level
This helped a lot I always did this heist with a friend and we always alerted the juggernaut which is really annoying it’s way easier doing this solo and I always avoided doing it alone because I assumed I had to kill the guards and I don’t it’s not only easier but faster.

So just throwing it out there - an alternative escape route (that works really well) is to make for the La Mesa police station (a straight shot from the other two stations and even better if that's where the boat spawns), because directly across the street from La Mesa you can jump onto the tracks below the overpass, run through the tunnel and across the rail bridge and get dumped out pretty much right in front of the drop off point. Excellent vid mate, this is info I wish I'd had a long time ago!

Did this first try, everything went smooth. Then killed the last guy on the bike before you leave the island...with the golden gun....alarms went off and died in the water twice :)

6:32 coming from beginner tips no one ever told is to press the left control before that ramp and you'll fly. if you dont hit left control (wheelie perform), its just very hard. hope this help.
You don’t have to jump it fast. You can also just drive up it slowly. Right where you would jump in the crevice kinda but watch out for the guard

As of Apr 6, 2024, PS5 here I can def say that swimming out still works like a charm
I did cayo perico two times a day and it was for atleast 5 days in row and 8 times i got tequila but for the other two i got pink dimond and black panther 💀
You can turn the Longfin around easier if you barely tap the gas while holding the handbrake and turn. Much easier to turn around that way
Ruby necklace is the current main loot for the heist I'm prepping right now
Holy shit. I thought I was doing as efficiently as possible. LOL nope. Just ran your method and did it in 12 minutes with only firing a single shot at the biker guy. I still ended up with a patrol boat hunting me as I swam to freedom but that was it. Cheers for the great video!

Taco you can change clothes to save then lobby swap from the island to save time
Just a heads up for the guard in the tower during the jump when scouting, you can jump even if hes looking at you, did it 3 times today and even accidentally landed on top of the tower one of the times and it didnt do the capture reset to airfield thing

Only thing id add to this after anyone has the money you can cancel the heist if you don't want to get the tequila. Also very important do not damage the velum with the sparrow, land and shoot the guys on the beach.

If you go to the north dock, there's a secondary loot location that you can access by yourself before you've infiltrated the compound, but after the infiltration, it needs two people to access it.

Buying full ammo in the interaction menu gives you access to weapons you might not have as lower level player

dont know if i said it already but if you park your kosatka inside the merry weather base you will always get the other mission for the weapon set up
Cayo is still the best way to get the most $$$ all at once. I'll probably do The Cayo Heist twice today 🤣🤣🤣🤣
here some more easy tips for if you want to maximaize provit if you take the longfin go and scope out air strip or main doc for the most cash it can somthimes make a 100k difrenche and the long fin is maby a bit better if you know what to do and after you have primerary target you can go and change outfits and change lobbys and then you have ypur scoop oud done and for the camera you also can shoot it and for the long fin set up first shoot at the police station so you dont have many cops waiting for you and somthimes your long fin flips over and spans outside and if that happens you dont get any cops and if you have cops just step out and let them kill you so they loose you and if you deliverd the long fin ganghe session so you respan in your kosatka and its the same for the casino one when you finsihd the prep just chainge session
Random distribution at play here. I've gotten the ruby necklace almost 3 times in a row. in almost 20 heists, I've only ever gotten bearer bonds once.
The Escape Point at the bottom of the map (as far as I was playing) does not trigger with Duo, it only works as a Solo AND i had to swim way further into the ocean and up towards the surface.
And if in Duo, then just steal a boat and sail away from the island (we were on PC)
I stopped doing cayo when they nerfed they pay (I'm sitting at 60 mil anyway). So before the nerf I would run it solo or with up to 3 friends and bottom map worked everytime for us and we didn't have to swim far at all. Another reason to not play cayo if patched
Can you do the easiest Metas for one or two players with the other heists? Or bring in four players in to do the original heists just for content and good times? 😅
you can also just find a new invite only session after u finish the scope out avoiding having to go back to the plane to leave.
I did it yesterday on ps5 and it still works
If you get the merryweather HQ one u can also use your missle launcher on the sub, to blow up the helicopter, if u have it! I find that way faster as you do not need to leave the control room!
Or you can just play the game right and do it it takes 5 or 6 minutes tops

That’s what I do for that bastard mission. The game likes to give it to me multiple times in a row though. Got it 23 times in a row, yesterday, before it changed to the Penris building.
I've skipped Merryweather both ways and find the missiles take longer than starting a new session. It's more fun, though.

I have just calculated that there are approximately 194.040 possible Cayo Perico combinations not taking into account secondary targets and assist crews except the Velum approach

Maybe I am flying the Saprrow wrong but it seems super squirrely on PC KB controls it's infuriating honestly (used it during the merryweather freak missions a couple of times) do you have any tips for that? I think maybe a better keybinding might help but there are a load of conflicts when I tried, and being a leftie probably doesn't help. I find myself crossing arms just to make it work!
About that last bit where you just bolt towards the sea mines at the end. It doesn't work on PC. No matter how much I've done that route, it just doesn't work.
I just go into first person, not killing any guards outside the gate and jump out at the outer edge of the main dock swimming away.
Sadly, this is the only way that works for me and has been like this for 7-8 months now.
I play only with keyboard and mouse. Maybe works differently with PC players with the Xbox controller. Idk, I'm just putting out my personal experience.
You can get the outfit if u really want to cause u can sneak rnd the back of the security guard at the airstrip guard is as blind as the guard In the compound upstairs
I have literally never seen any UA-camrs do this, but while scoping out the island you can grab a Dinghy from the North Docks, go around the Airstrip, and beach it on the right/southern side of the Main Dock’s entrance, bypassing the Checkpoint entirely.

I struggle with getting past that checkpoint constantly because I’m terrible with jumping the motorcycle past the tower, and I didn’t want to loose the bike by going through the gate. After a friend showed me the Boat method, I haven’t struggled with a Cayo scope-out since because I’m right there next to a cutting powder location and a water tower to put it in, plus said water tower is right next to the Signal Tower; all I need to do is climb up the mountain, which takes less than thirty seconds.

During weapons load out , if I get Merryweather I just fire my missile from the sub and destroy the copter on the roof. It ends the mission and allows me to either try again or choose another mission. Funny how I finally got my moneys worth buying that senseless missile but here we are

I finished the cayo heist solo and got a time of 14 minutes and 54 seconds i got a little bit more than 1 million and got the elite challenge

I got the Bearabonds twice in a row and just now i've had the Ruby Necklace twice in a row
For me I think the same thing happend to that guy that said it was patched I needed to go much further but it may have been because I have been detected by guards after I left the compound unfortunately I didn't get the elite challenge
For some reason after I pick up the main product it then says I can’t use the drainage system for exit and then alerts the guards to my position any clue as to why?
just tried this and it seems like the exit through swimming down doesnt always work like that guy mentioned that or you have to be quite precise with where you swim, i tried this 3 times and it didnt work, until i followed EXACTLY where you swam to then it worked.
