Glad I could help. Chipper is still working strong, just be sure to cut your branches into straight peices since the loading areas are relatively restricted due to the size of the machine.
Im a harbor freight fan but not a fan of all these underpowered chippers (not just harbor freight) claiming they can do 3 inch branches when they can barely do 2.
More power is always nice. For small property clean ups this does a pretty good job considering the low cost. Anything that won't go in the chipper is burned for firewood.
For the price it is working very well for property cleanup. You just need to cut your branches as straight as possible to feed into the machine. How will you be using it?
@@buytoolbags Thank you for your reply! I have about 4 Leyland Cyprus trees I plan on cutting down I already cut 2 down because they blowed over in a wind storm. So, I plan on cutting up a lot of brush and I was trying to determine if it would be better to rent one or buy. Thanks!
Yes, I use the top chute for smaller branches. When cutting I try and keep them as straight as possible (limit Y branches) to prevent them from getting stuck. Overall pretty happy with this machine for what it is.
We don't have tumble weeds around here but I have not had good luck with brush or vine type trees. Instead of "chipping" the brush it would wrap around the shaft. Oak, Locust, Maple, have worked very well.@@Adri_57

I had two estimates 1) $1200 and 2) $400 for a trimming on two trees and third tree had three broken limbs that I wanted to remove because of the storm. Home depot you can rent $70 to $160 or rental shop $82 or more. My family will help with trimming on the tree's. Thx again
This unit here was purchased from Harbor Freight, I do not believe they offer rentals. However for the price of this unit it is a great value and you could always sell it 😎

i have one if you hold onto with strength it shouldnt pull your arm in but it feels like it could if you aren’t being aware
I wouldn’t worry about it. The Chinese instructions state that the machine will stall out once it reaches your wrist.
