2,000-Watt Gasoline Portable Honda Generator
Fuel Tank Capacity: 0.95 Gallons,
One refueling (93 Octane) is enough for more than 10 hours of AC operation
You gotta do what you gotta do to stay kool. Whatever works that’s all count. Haters will always throw some bad comments. Good job man. I admired your effort.
It's better than being in a truck without air conditioning due to company idle shutdown regulations.
Why use a window air conditioner? They sell portable ones so you only have to stick a 4 inch exhaust tube out the window instead of mounting that thing in the window every day
Seems like a pain but hay. Wont that wieght on the window damage the mechanism id put a taller board on the inside so the wieght rests on the dr frame not the window
I think that it is insane that no company have come up with a compact air conditioner for truckers. Do industries have a monopoly on the solution? Or is it just difficult to produce....i don't get it.
But one problem it's there, imagine if something going wrong or fire occurs, what insurance will cover your truck or for God sake another truck fire, homemade AC in that case will put you in jail, think about that!? Gasoline fuel is very sensitive on high temperature....
How big is the ac unit in btu
Probably a lot cheaper than letting truck engine idle all night
What tool did u use to cut the square hole out of the plastic?
If your company doesn’t allow idle and doesn’t provide apu then you shouldn’t work for them. I would never do all this every time I am parked. I own my own truck and looking to see what people doing out there. Only reason I wanna have apu is not to save money on diesel that’s 3rd reason 2nd reason to sleep quite without noise and vibration from the truck. My 1st reason is so I don’t put too much wear on motor where it breaks down and cost me more to fix.
GREAT VIDEO...Just picked up a Ryobi 2300 generator inverter and 8000 btu port AC.... it’s on and poppin thanks also dig the security lock down hook up to generator
Ur simple explanation in the description was perfect 👌
Good job. I personally would let the a/c rest on door and cover the rest with plywood and foam insulation. More sleep time
I for one am not gonna sweat my ass off, but damn that has to be a lot of work each night!
To All of you asking about the plastic adaptor. Go to any TA and buy a "breezeway screen" for your truck. Then cut it to fit. Its damn near impossible to find an idle air adapter.
For everyone looking for the plastic window adapter try the breezeway #2 the on on his video we’re from idle air and those are hard to find.
Good thinking bro, but i would recommend a portable ac so you don't have to do all you did, also get yourself a good carbon monoxide detector inside and try to securly strap the genny inside engine's compartment 😊
That is exactly what I do and I love it
Brilliant!!! 👍
