Great video! As someone who has lived there a long time ago, this brings back memories :) Also you've hit all the right spots. Also really enjoyed Qasr al sarab.
We went in June after Covid was called off & it was amazing! My friend & me stayed for 10days & loved it. Our hotel shared a beach with private apartments. The water at Palm Jumeirah gets really warm at that time & feels like 🛀🏻 at home (and I like me some warm bath water with salt). My friend even slept in the water on the beach. We have some fond memories! ❤
Price will depend on the hotel you are looking at. The best bargains are the 4-star hotels and below. 5-star and super high end hotels generally won't give much discount in price, but will instead offer very generous upgrades (e.g. book a king room and get a villa). So yes.. it is cheaper relatively compared to their peak prices, but it is not cheap like in Mexico or South East Asia cheap if you know what I mean. Dubai in August is too hot for the outdoors. It's the best place and time to experience artificial indoor activities, be it snow slope, aquarium, indoor shopping and adventure parks. There's a ton of "artificial" things to do. Perhaps the only outdoor activity worth doing is one of the mega water parks (like Atlantis or Wadi water park). It will really depend on what you enjoy doing and then search for the equivalent over there. It's quite amazing what you can do considering the place is supposed to be mostly desert! Let me know if you need some specific ideas.
