Thank you for another great explanation. The speed of your speech and your explanation makes it so easy to digest the information! I wonder if you can answer a question I have. If you do a tightness test and you have a 2mb drop on u6 meter with a backboiler unit and fire, but no smell of gas, it would be classed as a pass. After you then service the boiler and fire, you light both and you then turn off the gas to check if the safety devices work within the time limits. They do but you also work out it is the safety devices that are actually letting by the 2mb drop. Would this still be a pass as its under 4mb with no smell of gas or a id as a safety device isnt working as it should?
Hi Abdul. Great question…right, if you discover that the safety device is leaking gas then it’s ID. Just because it’s not leaking enough to fail a TT doesn’t mean it’s safe. Think of it this way..if the FSD is leaking gas then if you put your nose near it (or a gas sniffer instrument) then you’ll smell the gas and the T T will not allow you any drop. So both ways round it’s ID…thanks and I hope that helps.
Thanks. It great to know they help. I post every Sunday but if you want something in particular let me know and I can usually make a video in a day or two for you.
@@passyourgas Hi really appreciate that many as you can e.g how to test flues, and service cookers, gas fire what to look for in a builders opening as am starting my acs soon thanks your a star.
