Really wish you'd do a video on the arrest of News Now Victoria!

Can a job applicant make an audio recording during a job interview? Would it be a case of a private citizen illegally eavesdropping on someone else's private property? If so, how best to defend against discrimination on the part of the employer?

Question: what is a reasonable expectation of privacy on a psychiatric ward? The nursing staff I work with uses a blanket approach that no filming or recording whatsoever can be permitted. This, a patient FaceTiming a family member will be told to turn off their camera lest another patient walk by.
If a patient witnessed a physical intervention on another patient (if this patient was aggressive or showered behavioural issues) filmed the intervention because he questioned staff members' use of force, staff members would almost certainly insist that he erase his video
If a patient wished to record their interview with a psychiatric nurse, most nurses I work with would refuse to be recorded on account of this belief that any recording whatsoever is prohibited on a psych ward.
Are public sector nurses considered public servants in Canada?
    Thanks!

came up at work about the company having a camera pointed at the instrument cluster on vehicles in order to monitor drivers . They heard might not be allowed as Esso tried recording non public access areas and was disallowed

What did you just say? Try typing this out and letting Grammarly check it for you before you post it.

Why is it a " Got ya " and not self defense. When going in to a meeting with HR, they always outnumber you. No one speaks for you and its very likely that one would back up the other regarding what was or was not said. In this case my employer lied about me, even acknowledged it yet is my recording that " hostile" they hold all the cards in those meetings, the recording is the only thing I had to protect me.

And yes, I'd be willing to let you watch it. It was a virtual meeting, where my employer said I threatened someone by twisting my phrase into a totally different meaning that I have no history of let alone work history of 8 years. Why is it hostile to defend one's self ?

Damn right man, I did the same thing and won my unemployment appeal. They lied through their teeth and now I’m getting a lawyer sue them for their despicable actions.
