I find it a lot easy using 32mm socket 1/2 extension and ratchet replacing oil filter. I use oil extractor down dip stick tube save removing belly pan. Castrol Edge 5w30 Bosch filters.
When you remove the screw to get at the oil filter ,put the screw straight back in the threads , that way no chance of it getting lost whilst you do the oil change

My neighbour had a 32 mm ( I have an electric planer that he borrowsc) no point us duplicating tools . I always first check what I can borrow ( and always return) before buying anything , and have them all before even ordering the parts .
Does anyone know if the oil filter shaft is a major component? Low oil pressure came on so was replacing the oil and filter with a new oil pressure switch but got as far as replacing the filer and the shaft has snapped and is now stuck in the housing??

Get yourself a 32mm ratchet. You won't have to take the air box apart....
I got a 30mm instead by mistake. For future reference: Did. not. fit. :D

From what I can remember I just replaced the filter and just put back together with it broken.
