You don’t need to use battery and you can leave COF connected: use your adjustable power supply, adjust voltage to the same voltage like in circulate and add current little by little and watch for elements that will heat up.
What does COF stand for? Also, when you say “... voltage like in circulate” do you mean “ voltage, like the one in the circuit”? Please clarify, I want to learn. Thank you kindly
Hi, well done, the care to disconnect COFs is a thing that i never tought, thanks, to minimize risk of trace burn instead of battery can be put bench PS with nominal voltage rising from 0Amp to the point where something get too hot, the Amp level reveal the point of overcurrent. Bye...
How to diagnose XBR49X800E Sony TV main board? I tested it with resistance and found two of pins where to connect to the power board not working, how to fix it?
Great video but I’m new to electronics, so, what does AVDD and COF stand for? Please let me know - I’m really trying to learn more about electronics. Thank you kindly
It is advisable to use HALF the voltage of the particular power rail one is working on. The reason being is that other components on that power rail will be damaged by excessive voltage - one also has to consider what the limitations of the copper track itself which is being stressed at the same time - and you don't want to destroy the PCB track - it will only give you more grief than expected. Approach the subject with some thought and consideration. Think twice before doing anything.
is it necessarily a short when one of the test pad has no resistence to ground? i have a TV that boot-loops when the 2 LCD panel cabless are plugged to the motherboard (the TV can start with only 1 cable but theres no image displayed) I found 1 test pad that has no resistance to ground on both LCD panel PCBs that is called "IBC" i don't know if I should risk the method of powering the shorted area or if the problem could be comming from the TV motherboard that I could replace for 100€
I assume I can use this method to test any LED TV and Oled tv as well ? my sony OLED TV seem to have problem with panel.. I guess it must have short somewhere cause TV to shutdown rightaway.
Its a nice video. I found a short circuit in panel VCC. What component could be wrong? I measure low resistance at T200 F1, and the same at Z1 and c244 and C201
Is this also can ble applied for led laptop panel? I have LP133 WH1 TP D1. The laptop has broken. I powered the panel using rtd2556 but it only blinking in the dark. Like no backlight
Nice video. I have a problem with the Z1 (zener?) It´s a short circuit when I put the tester leads on each terminals. Can you tell de what kind of componen is Z1?

Good job ,but if AVDD is shorted to VGL or VGH , or a short between VGL, VGH ,can you apply the same rule between these two points ,
