Logically it would make sense to add skins with default sounds so that way people can get used to the actual audio before the introduction of new sounds make it difficult

@@ParthyFrez I think they also went into it with the thought of not only keeping the audio the same but also the look of the gun.
Ego and Prism are both skins that only change the texture, not the model or sounds.
other skinlines that do this would include:
All Greenscreen skins, Smite, Galleria, Sakura, Avalanche, Sensation, etc.
I think Ego and Prism are actually some of the cleanest skin lines they couldve gone with

It's kinda insane how they upcharge skins just because they can, and because they KNOW people are still going to buy it regardless. I will admit that Valorant does have some of the coolest and most unique skins from any game, but their prices are honestly absurd.

@@Empire69 if you have money to buy the whole bundle spend another 1000 vp and get the battlepass. you can get enough radianite points in a week if you play daily to upgrade it all(without variants). But if you really ask me buy only vandal if you dont use marshall or sherrif. I play marshal a lot on ecos too instead of marshall and also i dont like the vandal as its too distracting so im thinking of buying only marshal or knife only.
TLDR buy only vandal if you want only vandal as you will get these items in your store again anyways. The only things which you should not miss out are on Champions

They’re up charging the Oni Katana and this melee skin because they know 100% they’re going to be fan favorites, just gonna maximize the profit possible
The logic I see is that everytime they do a "new model" for a knife skin, they always go for 5350 vp, e.g. Oni katana and the new Kuronami knife, which is absurd. Champions karambit at the time not only had new animations, but also had champions glow and was sold for a period of time. Yet somehow it costs the same as these knives. Nonsense

This is why valorant will never have player trading or market. Skin prices would slowly be destroyed by 3rd party
Theres also several more big reasons as to why.
First:
You can simply get the skins you want by waiting for them in shop. Why buy a skin on the market if it comes in the shop anyways? Especially since player trade and market can get you scammed like in CS:GO where as if you buy in the Valorant Store you know youll get the skin for sure.
To make skin trading and player market actually a thing Riot has to get something out of it, but they wont because they dont have crates with random drop chance.
CS:GO loses no money from skin trading BECAUSE the only way to generate more skins is to open crates, crates that will 9 times out of 10 give you something with less than $1.00 value while the crates and keys are like 3-4 dollars
Another problem is battlepass skins. Players that have been playing since release are guaranteed to get big money if they chose to introduce a marketplace now.
If there was a market i would literally be rich rn just for selling Episode 1, Act 1 battlepass skins that are very basic but rare to find nowadays.

They upcharged because of all the unique anims, reactive buddy, animated playercard, so on and so forth. I’m cool with it, thought it would be radiant entertainment system priced in the first place

Cuz it's something new and fun and Riot knows people are going to be excited to buy it no matter the price. Same with the oni katana being the only one of its kind and the champions kunai lacking animations but being a long-requested skin.

You said it so well. I was thinking the same. I saved up money to buy atleast the knife but after seeing the price of the knife it didnt make sense as it was more than half the bundle. So i decided to not buy anything. Still so many people are gonna buy it and i think its the best skinline but i dont want to support riot overpricing it so hard.
Trust me, this melee isn't worth it , it's only hyped because it has new animation, same shit happen with RGX blade(overdrive) and i m sure a cheaper(comparatively, not economically) version will come.I rather suggest you to buy vandal/phatom (better advice not to spend to begin with but if you are going to).....better to own multiple guns of same type that you will actually use, instead of melee that you will rarely use unless you are Jollz

i had no problem casually buying a $1000 dollar knife skin on cs before but i sold that for 2k and never bought any again, it was a blue gem rank 1 butterfly knife. right now it would probably be worth 4x that but that was a gamble i wasn;t going to take. in valorant, it makes me uneasy to even buy a 1700vp skin because you can't sell it back, so i only have one skin in the game so far and that is a butterfly knife, i bought it when i hit ascendant 3. i told myself i'll buy a vandal skin next if i hit immortal lmao. i'm currently d3 from the reset so that will take a while and if i even have what it takes to get there because im solo queue. even after all these skins that came out i kinda want the gaia vandal

I saved 2300 vp when I found out the Kuronami Bundle existed and I wanted to buy the Vandal, only to find out its 2375 vp, I literally need 75 more vp for the vandal 😭😭
other vandal skins are there too which are best in 2175vp and 1775vp line..why not go for them instead of this costly skin

Exactly...the problem is when there's a knife with new animation , I always want it but then what's the point of buying the knife if I don't buy the rifle....and when i combine the cost of the knife and one gun after that point it would be stupid to just not add a bit more vp and get the bundle .

Valorant has always been expensive, but this is honestly ridiculous. 60$ for a knife or 90$ for the entire bundle is the worst pricing I've ever seen. I thought overwatch was bad, and tbf in some cases it is worse, 30$ for one singular legendary skin is really not good.

I think we can be going around and complaining about the bundle price. Yes, it's unaffordable to buy a $31AUD package, and yes they are increasing their prices gradually. I agree that we should not spent upwards of $31 dollars worth of skins, but we all buy it anyways. Compare this bundle to something like protocol. Protocol is better in the sense it has more upgrades and more unique and interesting features, but the reload animations, design, pullout, finisher, and (close to) everything else lacks compared to the kuronami bundle. A counterpoint may be comparing it to the Prelude line. It is preference at the end of the day but, prelude has a better kill SFX, shooting sounds, and wins out on almost everything but the finisher, pullout, and gun choice. But the Prelude line is as cheap as any other exclusive. We Valorant players have nothing better to do, so we argue about a change in pricing when (arguably) we are getting a higher quality package.

I have a lot of skins in Valorant, but nevet ever was so hyped like now. This bundle is absolutely the best bundle EVER. One of my favourite Vandal in the game is Prelude to Chaos, but this Vandel is way more better imo. I usually buy just specific skins of bundles, not the whole one. Most of my skins i have bought one by one, but this time, i’ll instabuy the whole bundle. Also, you’ll use those skins in every round of the game, because all of it is for a useful weapon. Sheriff, Marshall, Specre, Vandal. Those weapons are the most used ones in the game probably
I owe 9 best vandals and out of those..the best is prime. Point here is go for skins that have matured and proved themselves with time. Don't jump in random release. If majority likes some skin then chances of buying wrong skins decreases

This makes no sense. They put effort into ALL exclusive bundles. Kuronami is the same as every other exclusive. Also don’t even try to give the whole wammy yammy “this bundles has better sound better animation more better everything.” The only thing good about this bundle is just its looks they couldn’t even come up with other color variants so they just snagged the purple and gold from neo frontier and other variant colors from reaver.
Edit: and it doesn’t even have a 6k sound this bundle at best is worth 8700 max. What could’ve made this bundle cold was adding opposing agents initials or names in that japenese text on the weapons vans whenever they would die it would glow red or whatever the variant color is or add an animation where their initials or name gets crossed out.

Unpopular opinion, I think it makes sense because this bundle has a custom pullout animation, custom reload animation, and interactable finisher, something most exclusive sets don't. Plus, they've stated exclusive tier skins may vary in price since the very beginning.
That being said, Valorant skins are still too expensive in general lol, but relatively speaking it's not that surprising to me

it's not a custom pullout, it's a brand new type of skins, just like how butterfly first came out, or even the valorant go kunai, and many other skins. They shouldn't charge more than it is for an "exclusive bundle"

idk if this is just me but when i buy a bundle i just get the $100 dollar vp option so with the exception of the the arcade the high price doesnt mean all too much to me as a player, but i will agree riot just upcharges skins that they know are going to sell well in the community, the oni katana only got upcharged to the entire price of the bundle because people didnt really care for the guns and were just fawning over the katana, riot literally has no reason to upcharge this shit and they should keep guns around a consistent price

The reason it’s so expensive is because they’ve never done anything like it before. The knife is a completely new type of melee and the skins have extremely good animations and finishers not to mention the great variants. I personally think it’s worth it because I was expecting it to cost the same as radiant entertainment system.
imperium has better finishers imo but kuronami's reload is nice tho
