How the hell didn't they keep the animation of Autobot City firing at Megatron and co. with Megatron dodging the blasts? Such a brilliant moment and it's omitted? Can't get my head around it.
I wish they would animate the deleted scenes and include it in a new special edition....even add a little more animation would be cool. And fix some of the errors and lost cell shading....re release the movie theatrically would be killer
This wasn't primarily a Japanese trailer. It might have been shown in Japan but this was an extremely extremely early trailer for everywhere including America. Not a Japanese exclusive.
It was released in early November 1985 just before the beginning of 1986 before the movies release, soundtrack for the movie wasn't even made yet so they used soundtrack from Star Trek III The Search For Spock, an unknown scary music in the scene were Unicron eats up planet Lithon or how its spelled and Iron Maiden's Losfer Words in the Battle of Autobot City.

What I do know is that in Japan they release The early stages Ultra magnus as a toy called Ultra Magnus Yokokuhen Version witch was the G1 toy but in his old look

It’s upsetting that this didn’t make it into the 30th anniversary Blu-Ray, this promo reel is really nice.

I think that Nelson Shin is also a made up. There is no Koreans with Shin family name.

hmmm. were they to release a blu ray version of this, or a 30th anniversary, id like to see the deleted second pincer shot in it. adds gravitas.
there are also a lot of better shots that should replace the released versions
