I absolutely love this truck , just got one 3 months ago , fully loaded so the 701A package with a 2 inch lift and 20” all-terrain tires , with a bed cover for 36,000$ The truck only had 52k miles when I got it . It’s a beast .

This is a great looking truck, FORD. I am proud to see domestic makers building such fine products. No I do own a Ford, I have a 2013 GMC 2500HD, but I would be very happy driving this truck any day.
I have a 2011 F-150 that I love for the most part. I have the 3.7L V6 that gets good gas mileage and serves my needs. What I hate is the Ford Sync and Bluetooth connectivity issues that continually give me problems. I hope Ford has improved the Sync in the new F-150.
I have to give Ford kudos for re-inventing the interior as well as exterior frame. It looks sweet. I have a 5.4L 2010 XLT and it seems like they did the same shit over and over. I love my ford. Never once had a problem with it. Can't wait to test drive one of these to see how it compares.

I sat in a 2015 Ford F150 Supercrew XLT in the FX4 package that has the 6.5 box and I like the 2015 soo much better then the 2014 F150 Supercrew FX4 with the same box. The center console is bigger and the seats are more comfortable on the 2015 F150. I cant wait until I can get one.
If you want to help people in a truck navigate then provide them with 4-wheel steering. Your platinum series costs more than 5 times the amount of money that a 4-wheel steer system will cost a consumer on a regular truck. An appearance package costs more than 4-wheel steer according to what GMC/Chevy did in 2002 - 2004, guess what I would rather have, an appearance package or 4-wheel steer to help me navigate my truck and lights don't help when your trying to park these things at Wal-Mart in the daytime 4-wheel steer does, it also helps us back up trailers because the rear wheels follow the trailer, zero trailer whip when changing lanes with 4-wheel steer, lose control of the rear of the vehicle at high speed and 4-wheel steer corrects the vehicle immediately without touching the brakes. I would go on but your a chief engineer so maybe you will figure it out.
For those who say it looks like a Tundra well Tundra lovers can buy this truck with a diffrence that this truck can tow and be usefull on work sites not like the Tundra!!! Never used in oil companys because the tundras cant handle it!!!
Hopefully the new material of this truck and features do not make my uncle jealous. He purchased a 2013 F150 Supercrew king ranch platinum and its a nice truck. If I buy one of these once I become a state trooper I may start off with the XLT but if I can financially afford it the Lariat. But more likely my first new F150 will be an XLT. Maybe the second will be a lariat.My uncle did have a 04 Explorer Sport Trac with gray cloth seats before he replaced it with the F150 Supercrew with the black interior and brown leather. I rode it and its real nice. So I may start off with the XLT as my first F150 then upgrade to the Lariat when on the second. AS you know we start from the bottom and work our way up.

The moon room looks pretty legit, the LED headlights I wanna see those at night, & too much cameras like who the hell would wanna see all around the truck. I dont know where you get your figures from I factory orderd my 2011 supercrew XLT XTR 4X4 fully loaded camera, sunroof etc.for 39 grand . Thats like every other truck out there.....bare bones XL 2wd you can get for 18 grand.....Have you seen the prices on cars these days. get way more bang for your buck with a truck I dont understand what the problem is?
A fully loaded Xtr here is like over 50 grand. I was just looking at them yesterday. And I doubt that was fully loaded. A fully loaded fx4 here is in the 60 grand ball park.
Sorry my bad i just looked at my bill of sale and i paid 42007 . I bought it during employee pricing in September end of year run suggest looking into them then too. And it was full load including ecoboost 402a package and remote start etc. minus the captains chairs. 2014 model year XLT I noticed you can build it with HID projector headlamps, electronic lock diff and leather that will cost you....hence options you pay for it. I built an FX4 402a package sunroof trailer tow mirrors ecoboost nicely equipped for 49694 net...I dont have an issue with that price ? Your getting jipped where your from and to think Vancouver is rated the second most expensive place to live in the world where Im at LOL
I'm not sold on the looks, but I'm sure this will be a home run for Ford. But my primary concern is repairs. In an accident, a new aluminum bumper or side skirt will be very expensive. Same with the new "waterfall" front windows, head/tail lights, electronics, etc. With the high initial cost, gas, and repairs, this sucker will be a money sink.
So is the new F150 the same dimensions as the old F150? It does look to have the same cab design as before except the front end was redesigned as well as the interior and the dash. The bed. I cant tell if that was redesigned but it kind of appear that it was. Also I noticed the 2015 Superduty. What all is different on the 2015 Superduty then the 2014? Also the tire pressure monitoring system. Does it tell you the tire pressure for each tire or is it the original tire pressure light that comes on? My 09 Focus has the TPMS but Im on my own figuring out which tire is low when the light comes one.

At a job site people leave the key in the ignition, Makes it hard to open the tailgate just like trying to open the passenger door nowadays. On the next gen F150 after this maybe they could get rid of the windshield and just drive using the screen views.
If gm or chevy ever puts a 8 speed trans all those cameras a center console shifter and auto lowering tail gate in there trucks I will never be able to buy a new truck ever again. Those are just options you Luddite. You can have your ancient clunky transmission and manual crank windows. A column shifter is always an option except on the highest trim levels. (which this is the highest of them all) It'll even save you a ton of money buying the fleet model anyway.
Engine specs for the new power train? Reg cab short 4x4 equiptment is what I would be getting looking forward to seeing some base truck like I would get .they always highlight the 50k Luxo barges.
Toyota was smart, they only did minor updates to the 2014 Tundra to see where Ford, GM and Ram were going while still maintaining their sales numbers. Now watch Toyota step it up and pounce for the 2015/16 model years...
Ford makes fine vehicles, as does GM, and Chrysler, there are always quirks with some vehicles, some have a particular engineering problem that shows up later and gets recalled. But if you maintain your vehicle regularly and don't run the dog piss out of it, they are more than likely a reliable vehicle. I've owned most brands and it's true with almost all of them, except this toyota I had, that piece of junk had a new problem every week!

At 85,000 miles, my dad's gmc Acadia has already had steering problems, transmission problems, and horrible gas mileage. Ford or ram is my first choice.
Don't think I'm on board with the cameras. I know sitting up in a truck isn't that easy visibility wise for everyone, but what happened to people relying on solely themselves to drive? This is only going to make people less aware of their surroundings and rely solely on the cameras. Not a good idea in my opinion.

to all you awesome people out there that are here to troll not making this statement to be trolled but its just my over all out look because ive been into mechanics and trucks all my life .. for hasn't made anything good or should i say long lasting and reliable since i was a kid in the mid 70's. and where i live trucks have to be dam good and in noticing certain things when fixing shit for people is the multiple variety of constant needed parts when dealing with ford and a major factor in this is the fact that nothing has been consistent or the same and in fact how many body style does one truck need in one year alone lol. new motors non stop new this new that and where did all that new shit go over the years and even recently ? don't get hooked by fords new fishing rod people and im sorry to ford people its not your fault. but having to take a number at the parts counter is not my thing at all and i haven't had to do so for myself since the late 80's when i chose what i drive . im not a total hater tho just realistic still have a few old fords around love my 73 bronco but its a constant battle keeping parts onto her.. cheers all ..here in my town people with money to burn do but fords and they don't keep then long coincidentally and those people seem to be the one afraid to keep a vehicle more than 2 years lol wonder why ?
I wish they would offer an intermediate cab size that made sense. The back seat of the extended cab is way too small. It has less legroom that most sub compact cars and you can't realistically fit adults back there. The crew cab on the other hand, is almost too big. It has more legroom than most large luxury sedans. Can't we have something in the middle?
The fact that it is light is great, and there is some amazing engineering done on ford's part here, but I just can't get over the body style! I just can't stand the look of these trucks, that's just my personal preference.. Love the look of the f-250 but something about the f-150 just turns me right off
The aluminum hood on my 11 mustang started to corrode only after a couple years with paint bubbling widespread all over the leading edge... a problem that has been commonly reported even on the 2005 and up mustangs, all one must do is google mustang hood corrosion and see fords engineering prowess with aluminum...

Nothing wrong with Sync, it is the best system imo. And I am very tech savvy. I love the system, never encounter and hiccup. The problem was usually with my phone or other mobile devices. Even my wife agreed that Sync on her 2012 Fusion was the best feature in a car that she ever owned. Try the bluetooth hand free on the 2011 and older Subaru, Hyundai, Honda, Toyota etc.. and you then will realize how much better Sync is. Sync was already near perfect on my 2010 MKS. Even Mercedes and BMW don't have touch screen in their models up to 2010.

Ram trucks are fine. My neon was great other than the japanese engine that needed valve work after 90k. the rest of the American parts were just fine.

You guys just need to face the fact that Ford has had the best selling truck for over 27 years. You cannot argue with facts, and if Ford's always broke down than why would a customer continue to buy them?

to all you awesome people out there that are here to troll not making this statement to be trolled but its just my over all out look because ive been into mechanics and trucks all my life .. for hasn't made anything good or should i say long lasting and reliable since i was a kid in the mid 70's. and where i live trucks have to be dam good and in noticing certain things when fixing shit for people is the multiple variety of constant needed parts when dealing with ford and a major factor in this is the fact that nothing has been consistent or the same and in fact how many body style does one truck need in one year alone lol. new motors non stop new this new that and where did all that new shit go over the years and even recently ? don't get hooked by fords new fishing rod people and im sorry to ford people its not your fault. but having to take a number at the parts counter is not my thing at all and i haven't had to do so for myself since the late 80's when i chose what i drive . im not a total hater tho just realistic still have a few old fords around love my 73 bronco but its a constant battle keeping parts onto her.. cheers all ..here in my town people with money to burn do but fords and they don't keep then long coincidentally

I wish they would offer an intermediate cab size that made sense. The back seat of the extended cab is way too small. It has less legroom that most sub compact cars and you can't realistically fit adults back there. The crew cab on the other hand, is almost too big. It has more legroom than most large luxury sedans. Can't we have something in the middle?
The fact that it is light is great, and there is some amazing engineering done on ford's part here, but I just can't get over the body style! I just can't stand the look of these trucks, that's just my personal preference.. Love the look of the f-250 but something about the f-150 just turns me right off
The aluminum hood on my 11 mustang started to corrode only after a couple years with paint bubbling widespread all over the leading edge... a problem that has been commonly reported even on the 2005 and up mustangs, all one must do is google mustang hood corrosion and see fords engineering prowess with aluminum...

Did Ford finally get rid of Microsoft Sync?
Nothing wrong with Sync, it is the best system imo. And I am very tech savvy. I love the system, never encounter and hiccup. The problem was usually with my phone or other mobile devices. Even my wife agreed that Sync on her 2012 Fusion was the best feature in a car that she ever owned.
Try the bluetooth hand free on the 2011 and older Subaru, Hyundai, Honda, Toyota etc.. and you then will realize how much better Sync is. Sync was already near perfect on my 2010 MKS. Even Mercedes and BMW don't have touch screen in their models up to 2010.

Too many useless centre consoles and auto opening tailgates, who needs cameras? I love the high strength frame and lighter body, the 2.7 eco boost sounds great, please have an off road package with real delectable lockers and bigger tires, why doesn't the Raptor come with 6 seats!
