- This is after you unit is a couple years old.
See clean filter simply remove water resevoir and pull down on the black filter which you will see through the slots on the front.
Thanks so much for this video. Because of your video, I didn't have to buy a new dehumidifier. Thanks again, and God bless you .
So glad I found your video. I have the same unit and I’m planning on taking mine apart. Mine looks like yours. Cats 🐈
Thank you! I was minutes away from breaking the front off mine.
Hahah. Glad to help. It's an old shitty video but it's helped some people. Cheers
I watched this video for the exact reason you posted it (back panel off first). Thank you so much!
It's not a polished video but it appears to if helped a lot of people. Cheers
Thanks my dude
Thank you for sharing the tips. I just took mine apart with no trouble.
I’ve taken out all the screws and hose screw and no go. Are there any clips or hidden screws?
@@jill552 You also need to unscrew the hose attachment. This should have been mentioned in the video.
Steve Lent, thanks for the reply but job is long done.
Thank you for the tip on not breaking the dehumidifier.
Help ! I do not manage to separate the back from the front and I took already the 5 screws in the back off and as well 1 srew in each side and 2 screws behind the water container. We tried it for a long time. My model is DD 45 and it looks the same !!
Thanks for your help BJ Johnson. I have the same DeLonghi DD50P dehumidifier. Similar issue with dust and lint getting past the screen. Had the bright idea of to use a foaming coil cleaner (WEB coil cleaner) I bought off Amazon. Hosed down the coil with water. Now the humidity sensor is off. It won't go below 30 degrees F even though my standalone humidity temp reader is showing room humudity of 57 degrees. I think I might have messed up the sensor. Out of warranty so looking to do it myself and save $200+
hey bro, thanks for the video, you just saved another couple of those brackets to pop. And probably you saved me a divorce, since my wife really cares about our DD30P aka R2D2.
Good stuff
You are AMAZING!!! Thank you sooo much. I was getting ready to break it. 🤗🤗🤗Thank you Thank you Thank you!!! thanks
Thanks bud. Same problem as others below, i took out the screws on the front and back and it still would not come apart. The outflow coupling over the bung on the back that was still holding it together. After unscrewing the outflow coupler the back came off. Then there are two more screws up top on the inside that are still holding the front on. Peace
Thanks so much . Great instructions. Wow it was dirty inside.
Thank you so much sir. You really helped me with this video.
Thanks, useful. My quedtion: how do I take it apart further? I need to get to the inside metal vanes to clean them.....cheers
I'd use a vinegar water solution. You can buy ac combs used to repair the fins on AC units. Or just follow similar Instructions here...Just make sure your unit is unplugged.

Hi , thank you for information, how about any condensers or code e3 trouble
Definitely a very helpful heads up! I was just going to open mine up to see if I could clean out what powers the pump tube. Did you ever have to do that (or perhaps you don't use the pump tube). Thanks for an important video though.
Wish I had seen this video two hours ago, made same mistake. This unit is very poorly designed and it was NOT a cheap unit. It has worked well for the past few years but honestly, I take excellent care of it, I clean it often and the screen filter does little to nothing when it comes to keeping lint off of the radiator fins. After cleaning the unit, it turns on fine but the compressor barely works and continuously cycles on and off without collecting any water. Prior to purchasing this unit five years ago, I owned a couple of other units over the past 40 years and they all did a better job, lasted longer and cost a lot less money. Time for a new unit and it will NOT be another DeLonghi!!!!!!!! Note to the engineers that designed this unit: Go back to school to learn how to do it right next time!!!
Hi daddy it is me Rylee and Chloe
I took the screws out of the back and sides but the top still seems to be attached. You indicate the back panel needs to come off but didn't show how to do it. How do you do that?
if all screws are out should just pop off. if your having probs still let me know. ill go have a look downstairs for ya.
I have a quick question I have the same Dehumidifier, Motor is
working, I have remove both front/back panel and everything seems to be
clean but it is still not collecting water, any reason why?.
tks in advance
+flipmode00 set your humidity to lowest humidity level setting and wait to see what the humidity level is in the air (the number in the left) if thats lower than said set humidity level (number on the right) the fan will still run. If number on left is higher than the number on right it will collect water. or... it will pump it out. If your using the pump try the resevoir. If all checks like it should be collecting water but isnt than it could be out of refridgerant (coolant). let me know ;)
Here what happen the number on the left was set at 48 and the right is set at 30%, I could hear the fan and something else was running. I left it for almost 1h and when I went to check the number on the left was at 50 and the right was still at 30, and still no water?
I can feel the air going through the front and coming from the top and its not warm at all.
I place my hand behind the machine and its super hot right now.
I have the same issue. Even after taking all those screws out, it still seems to be attached at the top (around the handles), and I don't want to force it to avoid breaking it. Does anyone know how to get the top part detached?
