This song is a masterpiece. The vocals along with the the flute and the horn section. Is there any other band that can perform on this level?

To me this song is more about a beautiful baby girl whose Dad could not overcome the empty void left in his soul when he was denied his ability to contribute to her transformation from his baby girl to being the strong classy lady she would become. The story of a fathers unconditional love is told without even a hint of any vengeful bitterness towards the cause of his torment leaving only the pure expression of hope that she will have true happiness which she can only achieve if she can escape the influence of her narcissistic evil mother. I can relate...

I guess this answers my question. I have been wondering if Tommy played flute and if they'd ever pull this out again. One of the greatest love songs ever.
