@@skybreakedm you don't know who chime is?
@@4mplitude That was a joke man
@@matt-dw whoops
Me too.
expectation - 10000 serum patches
reality - sick ass resampling
You don't need serum to make a dope song you can even make with stock plug-ins

“More felt than heard”
That’s literally a SPOT ON description
The wobbly frequency shifter technique happens because your creating intentional phase cancellation. What a 50% mix frequency shifter does is it essentially plays the original and a slightly pitched version on top of each other. If the difference is small enough (like 15 hz like you have here) the peaks and troughs of the two waves will cancel and add in different places, creating a wobble effect. It’s kinda like when you play two sine waves really low a half step apart, but you can apply it to any effect on the planet. I love this technique and have used it for a while.
Very interesting! Thank you so much for the explanation :) Learn something new everyday!!!!
It also makes alien-like vocal chops as well
the effect is kinda like how Valhalla FreqEcho works
Wow, I understood nothing ._.
@@HexxedOfficial You should probably start producing my friend
8:07 might be the most beautiful thing i’ve heard
chromatic dissonance is such a hidden gem when it comes to writing chords!! thought i was weird for doing that but i'm glad to see you take advantage of it too :)
really nice breakdown and lovely remix
Yeah it's really useful
Try playing a c major chord then a d major (with a g as well) then a E minor chord it adds a lot to a really simple chords progression
Why would you be weird to use it? It's not an uncommon technique at all
Your Remix Is The Meaning Of Life.
*i can't tell if that's an exaggeration*
@@themandel2017 This has been the only song that i have been listening to for the past weeks.

Ah this was soo good and informative, thank you for this!
AWESOME! Thanks for this tutorial!
I learned so much from this, thank you so much!
This is absolutely incredible!
Dude this is absolutely amazing
Holy crap! Dude these are some very useful tips. Thank you!
That's really great breakdown! :)
Awesome tutorial! Keep doing these amazing works~
This is such a great track wow!
Wow, this is the most epic drop I've ever heard, super underrated dude. Keep it up!
Super talented! Love this remix, and it's sick how you broke down the whole project.
Breakdowns like this are very appreciated, especially since you can pick up so much from them. I watch a lot of these to see if I can learn new stuff every time.
That was a really epic masterclass in so many areas! well done! I especially like how much you use emotional/tactile descriptive words for the sounds
Skybreak you are the best, I love your songs. :3
Yo that diminished chord literally put me in my feels. That was nice!
yup. this was a fantastic breakdown. super well done!
This is so helpful! Thanks for everything, you deserve more subs!
Dude, you’re a freaking genius! Thank you so so much 🙏 this tips are gold. Super inspiring
Bruh, I’ve been looping this song everyday!!! Soooo glad to see the tutorial to help me be a better producer
This breakdown is so good. I absolute love the way you explain all the elements in a clear, concise way, but still manage to keep it entertaining. You've really inspired me to never stop making music.
Here comes a pure talent👏👏
Thank you so much for this! The Song is so good :D I really hope u win!
Absolute SICK Remix. Was by far my favourite Track of 2020. Love your music and happy new year
Dude u r really talented thx for sharing ur knowledge. U got a New fan here just subbed... I hope to see a lot more in the future....
I just want to say that I love your work, I just came here, because you won the remix conquest, but damn, your work is amazing, I am so happy for your victory! I see you in Disciple my friend! ♥♥♥
Really informative video, thank you
what a sick resampling!!!
your remix and killing void's remix are the best ones on the album imo. Keep killin it!
I just started producing and I have been at it so hard with Colour bass. You deserved the win.
Genius, just absolute genius
In terms of remixes, this is one of the most beautiful I've heard
ran across your video MONTHS ago trying to make my own. coming back after the moonglow EP. howdy!
Bruh, you deserve more recognition
Awesome! I've learned a lot watching this. I wish I could drill down into your FLP; it's more intricate than any project I've seen, even amongst other dubstep producers.
Your stuff sounds like Gemini, Xilent and Haywyre discovered Arch Echo. I love it!
omgosh... i'm very good musically but you just inspired me to start making color bass, thank you
Seriously impressive depth of knowledge
this is sick
Great work on the remix. I've always learned from experimentation but watching your video makes me think I'd benefit from seeing some other people's tricks, such as the vocal blur you did with edison. Kinda funny cause I've ran into that same Freqshifter/phaser quirk too. Must be a characteristic of freqshifters in general as both my hardware and software ones do this. But yea, most of my music right now is just me goofing off and having fun.
O damn this gives a lot of inspiration
YOU HAVE SO MUCH TALENT AND YOU'RE FUNNY!
This is so helpful
Keep killing ❤️
I freaking died at 21:20
YOOOOO THE LICC!
ya like jazz?
The remix is dope dude
jess thats mind blown amount of techniques and the resampling xilent's the darkness lmao. Wonder how long have you been producing to get to this monster level. There are literally infinite amount of micro control automating atmosphere and stuff. (and i cant stop spamming serum just to achieve probably 3/40% of this which hurts my cpu much) i am really impressed ... wow
Trueee
You deserve a billion subs. Really.
you are so talented
so underrated this is insane
Yo congrats on making it on disciple bro 👐🏽
Very talented young man
subbed for the hertz joke, very cool thanks >:D
Very cool
Nice bruh
YOOO THIS IS SO COOL! Have you ever thought about using secondary dominants or tritone substitutions in your chord progressions, or maybe mode changes between major and relative minor? that would be cool i think...
You do realize you're a god for this right??? Thank you so much for sharing your secrets!!!!!!!!!!

I've been wanting to get back into producing and seeing this makes it look so daunting LMAO, guess i gotta get back into it with small steps
Pleeeaaaase breakdown angels and demons
i would love that soooo much
My mind is kinda blown on the creativity to this mix honestly I'm aspiring to become a producer and I want to learn the ways.
Sickkk!!!
@SkyBreak at 2:37 the “clashing” notes are a part of a V7 chord 😁. BTW YOUR MUSIC IS FLIPPIN AWESOME!!! Keep it up dudo!
And the track on Syfer lately Another Heart is really well done, huge collab on making color bass ver. of we dont play (or easter egg of combining so many style of dubstep artist, (too impressed and literally typed too much and too long lmao
OMGOMGOMGOMG I DIDNT KNOW U HAD TUTORIALS IJCNCOUN OMG HTANK GOD
FIREEEEEEEEE
Круто дружище
The phasing on the freqshifter happens bc freq shifting is just ringmod but with the carrier signal's phase shifted by 180 degrees (which cancels out the downwards sideband), so when the dry signal is blended with the phase shifted carrier signal is being modulated at sub 20Hz, all that's happing is the phase shifted signal has a tremolo applied to it so the phasing gets modulated in and out
Your song Waterfall is 🔥🔥🖤🖤
AYE ALMOST 1000 SUBS!
Watched this twice now, def aged like fine wine!!!!!!
welp, it definitely aged like fine wine
it makes me mad how fucking good u r

19:13 Fdim(maj7#9) -> F#m11 works very well.
Definitely copyright infringement but you do you king 👑
Why have I not seen this yet
About halfway through you tell us that you used The Darkness as a key element in the track. That absolutely blows my mind. It still sounds nothing like it in a good way.
woo
this guys lowkey hilarious
Nice cape cod shirt
is the piano a flex preset? it sounds soooo good
